Description of Work: Old Spouse Handyman did a long list of tasks that needed attention. We had carpentry and plumbing and other tasks both inside and outside the house. Everything was done extremely well and we highly recommend this service.

Description of Work: Painted outside 2 fixtures. Ruined them. Replaced glass with pieces of metal that don't even fit properly. Said he couldn't get bevelled glass back in.

So sorry that you were unhappy. Each of your lights required disassembly and removal of the 8 glass panels in order to paint the frames. I was unable to reassemble the single rear glass panel for risk of breaking the glass. It would not fit despite several tries I substituted a metal panel as is commonly done on these fixtures. You commented about how good they looked when I reinstalled them. It was not until 2 weeks later when I returned the 2 extra glass pieces to you that you noticed the difference and voiced your objection. I apologized at that time for not having told you about the modification because I had not thought it to be significant. You failed to mention that you were issued a refund when you complained despite the substantial effort on my part. This review is very concerning, particularly in view of the fact that I have provided satisfactory service to you on numerous occasions over several years. and we have had a very positive relationship up to this time.

Sam was recovering from surgery and could not handle the job when we needed it, so he referred us to another handyman, Frank C., and made contact with him for us. End of story...
Description of Work: Extremely nice gentleman, whom I invited for an estimate on making four drawers and 10 thermofoil doors for a small bathroom pantry. Final total cost of the project turned out to be less than $500. He came back four or five times to take exact measurements, we had great conversations on all topics including s** and politics for a total of about two hours and... finally he said that this job is too big for him....

The job entailed the purchase of fabricated cabinet doors from the manufacturer at substantial cost. The member refused to pay any up front cost for the doors. At that point I withdrew from the job.

Everything was perfect.
Description of Work: This guy is all the things one hopes for in a handy guy -- on time, no BS, very courteous and professional, and he did a great job installng my electronic kitty cat door. Only reason I have not called him back to do some more work is because I am so embarrassed that I did not put in this report yet; but now I can call him without too much embarrassmant.

Excellent -- as always!
Description of Work: Sam has done work for me on several occasions and he has always under promised and over delivered. Don't let the low price of my last job fool you. He did a lot for the money and as always it was done quickly and professionaly. My only complaint is that now my wife wants to know why I can't do what Sam does. My answer is why when all we have to do is call Sam!
