Description of Work: I had two unfortunate experiences with this jeweler. The first was that I took my husbands older Breitling watch in for a cleaning and new battery since they were supposed to be a jeweler capable of working in these watches. The watch has a flat sapphire crystal. Whe ai picked it up, they had substituted a domed crystal because they were unable to find a flat crystal. No communication occurred before I picked it up. We did not accept the repair and it took them over three months to rectify this problem.. I also took a ring in to have the stone polished. They informed me that the stone would have to be taken out of the setting and reset...which was fine. I picked up the ring and within 3 weeks of wearing it, one of the prongs broke. They tried to charge me for the repair saying that the prongs were thin. If that were true, they should have informed me of the problem when they were working on the stone. They didn't. After some arguing, They fixed the problem without additional cost. But it was an unpleasant, unnecessary experience. I don't trust that it was done correctly and am going to take it to a different jeweler for inspection before I start wearing it again.

Description of Work: Repaired a cufflink watch. They were very friendly and I showed them the watch. They told me they would have their watch repair person look at it, gave me a receipt and said I would hear from them within a week with an estimate. They called me five days later and said my watch was repaired and ready to be picked up and I said they were supposed to let me know how much it would cost before any work was done and they said there was no charge and I could pick it up during business hours. They told me they just had to put the watch face and cover back together and it was working again so that's why they didn't charge me. I would recommend them to anyone because they were honest about my repair.

Description of Work: I needed to have the stem replaced on my watch. It took a couple days to get a quote for the repair/replacement of the part. I am not aware if the stem needed to be ordered or was in stock as it took two weeks to get my watch. It is currently working perfectly. When I picked up the watch, Dawn was the person at the counter and she was friendly and nice. I have nothing to use for comparison on the price as this is the first time I've had this type of repair or used a jeweler in Boca.
