My experience with Cassio of Platinum Refinishing was very unprofessional and unsatisfactory. I was unhappy with the work he did and wrote him a factual email with a request to call me to discuss resolving the problem. He failed to call, and instead replied with an angry and accusatory email, and told me to contact another company. This is an unacceptable way for any business to treat a customer, regardless of the disagreement. My complaint is that Cassio failed to provide me with color samples, as I had requested, before painting the tile surrounding my bathtub. I first contacted Cassio by phone and when he told me his available colors, I said that I was interested in either Bone or Bisque, and would like to see samples. He made an appointment to do the work and said he would bring along color samples. When Cassio arrived to do the work, he had no color samples with him. I said I was interested in Bisque, but he said could not show me anything in Bisque. He said it was his opinion was that the tile should be white. A reason he gave was that "99% of his customers have their tub and surrounding tile the same color". He said it would match the white toilet. Later I found these to both be false statements - all of the pictures from Cassio's link on Angie's list show bathtubs and the surrounding tile in different colors, and Platinum's white is different from the white of my new toilet. I had already scheduled other bathroom work for the following weeks, including new floor tile, new vanity and sink, and new toilet, so I needed to get the tub tile glaze completed. Based on Cassio's recommendation I agreed to have the glaze done in white. Immediately after the work was done, I realized that the white glaze was not what I wanted. It was a very glossy bright white, different from American Standard bathroom fixture white or Home Depot's "Snow White" ceramic tile white (which Cassio had claimed was identical). I called Cassio and asked him to bring the color samples that he had failed to bring the first time. When I saw the color samples, I said that I liked the Bisque color. However, Cassio could do no work that day since he had another appointment. After the other bathroom remodeling work was completed, I emailed Cassio and said I would like to have the tile surround redone in Bisque. I was willing to pay him for this additional work, and wanted to discuss this with him. Instead of responding in a professional manner, Cassio was very rude and told me to "get lost". I am now asking Angie's List to show some professionalism in helping to resolve this problem. Additionally, I believe that I was overcharged for the amount of work that was done. Cassio was at my condo for less than one and a half hour, for which I paid $275. That's a rate of about $200 an hour, which is excessive for that type of work. I am a retired Ph.D. professional, and I never made $200 an hour in my career.

We had a very discolored tub and tile from the previous owner. Rather than have the tub removed and the tile replaced, we elected to go with re-glazing. Having never done it, we didn't know what to expect. We could not be more pleased. Platinum removed the tub sliding doors and repaired and reglazed the tile and tub. It looks like new tile. He walked us through care and maintenance and it is very easy. Given the cost savings, we could not be happier with our choice. We would recommend Platinum Refinishing highly and definitely use them again.

Cassio was amazing. Very professional. The work done looks great. It's hard to believe that it's the same shower. He was very prompt and communicative as well. Very reasonably priced as well. Thanks!

Cassio was very professional and clean. He covered everything in the bathroom up before he started working and used ventilation fan. The rusted area was bad and we thought we might have to get a new tub, but Cassio made it look like it never existed. The finish on the tub looks flawless.

Cassio is a complete gentleman - polite, honest, friendly and professional. He did an excellent job. Cassio had to completely remove the pre-existing, peeling refinish (acid washed it) and apply a fresh, new finish. He worked efficiently and left the bathroom clean and orderly. When I quoted the price back to him ... he corrected me DOWNWARD ... I was about to overcharge myself! The tub looks great: crisp, clean and contemporary.

Cassio was extremely professional, but mostly I appreciated his honesty. Rather than just jumping into a more expensive refinish, he first took the time to see if he could repair the surface. The repair worked and came at less than half the price. He may not have made as much as he could have on this trip to my home, but he earned a customer for life! Had I needed a refinishing he came with an array of colors to make sure he could make an exact match to the tub color and I have no doubt that he would have taken extreme care in preparation of the bathroom to avoid damage to any of the tile or other surfaces in the room. Great! Cagio answered phone on first call. Gave me price over th phone and it was done 2 days later on a Saturday! He was timely and kept the work area clean. It looks terrific.

He arrived on time, did a fantastic job, charged price he quoted, left everything clean. I will send referrals.

It was a pleasure doing business with Cassio. Called him Friday and he fit me in for Monday. He even called ahead to see if was okay to come a little earlier than scheduled - of course it was because I just couldn't wait to have this done. He assessed the tub - went to get his equipment and the work began. The original quote was $275; however because of the rust build-up, he had to work a bit longer and harder - the extra $50 was well deserved! When the tub was complete - I was truly amazed! I still cannot believe it's the same tub. He took his time and has definitely mastered the art of refinishing! He took the time to explain how to care for the tub going forward, left me with instructions and a five year warranty! I would totally recommend Cassio. Professional, friendly and a pleasure to do business with.

Cassio did a great job. Our tub was a complete mess - stained, scratched and chipped, and we were thinking our only option was to replace it. We sent photos of the tub, he replied with a very reasonable quote. Cassio came with all the equipment needed, including an exhaust fan and hose so the fumes were sent outside the house, and got right to work. A couple hours later he was done, and our tub looked as good as new - so good we were eager for the recommended 48 hours or drying time to pass so we could try it out. Must also mention that he was very professional, courteous and friendly, and we definitely recommend him to anyone that needs to have their tub redone - look no further!

Casio was very professional and did a great job. He pays attention to detail and wants to be sure the job is done to the customer's satisfaction before he leaves.

Cassio was the consummate professional from start to finish. After speaking with him on the phone about the procedure, pricing and scheduling; he followed up by confirming the date we had selected and called ahead the day he was due to arrive. He matched the color of the tub for the glaze to blend with existing tile and patched a rust spot about the size of a nickel where the porcelain was worn away. A few days later, I noticed that the caulking around the tub started to look yellow and did not match the glaze or the white grout on the tiled wall behind the tub. I called Cassio and he set up an appointment to re caulk and he did white this time and it looks great. He is a perfectionist and a man of his word and did not run away from a customer who had an issue after the job was complete as some South Florida businesses have been known to do. He also provided a sheet of care instructions and recommended cleaning products. One of the best customer service experiences I have found. it was a pleasure doing business with him and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to re-glaze their bathtub.

Cassio very prompt and responsive. We have a matching pair of sinks in master bathroom. One developed a crack that seemd to get worse with this cold weather. As this style sink has been discontinued we couldn't buy a match. Cassio did a great job refinishing and reglazing it. He's very professional, neat and clean, a fastidious workman. Sink looks like new. Very pleased with the result.

Called Cassio on Wednesday and scheduled an estimate appointment on Monday. He showed up on time and after giving the estimate he made the repairs on the spot. A couple hours later the repairs were finished and looked great. He used high quality products and cleaned up the work area when he was finished. Highly recommended!

I called Cassio on Wednesday. He answered the phone right away. I texted him a picture of my tub, and he quoted me a price. He was able to rework his schedule to fit my job in, on Friday, to accommodate the permitted work times of my condo. He contacted my condo's management office and supplied all license and insurance information. On Friday, he showed up, exactly on time. He had to make a few trips from the designated condo parking area, to my condo, to unload his equipment. He covered all surfaces in the master bath with drop cloths, and used an exhaust vent, to vent the odor from the coating. I left him my keys, 2c so that he could enter the building on his own, and I went out to breakfast. He called me about two hours later, and said that he was finished, and was reloading his equipment back on his truck. I went back to the condo, and was amazed that all cleanup was done, and the roman tub was beautifully reglazed. Cassio was a pleasure to work with. He never complained about the long walk from the designated condo parking area, to my unit. He was fully compliant with the condo administration's requirements for insurance. He was responsive to my initial call, and scheduled my job for 2 days later. He arrived on time, cleaned up the work area, and performed a beautiful job. I wish all contractors and workmen, were like Cassio. I would definitely recommend Platinum Refinishing to anyone, especially since you are getting the owner, to actually perform the work.

Casio was amazing! He came to my home same day I called. Had hole in side of tub that needed patch as well as needing tub refinished. He assured me he could do the job and he was right! It would have been a costly project to replace the tub but no need thanks to Platinum Refinishing!

I called Cassio of Platinum Refinishing on January 20 and got his voice mail. Before I was able to finish leaving a message, he called me back. I wanted a price for reglazing a tub, in the guest bathroom, that was more than 30 years old. He asked me a few questions about the tub and gave me a reasonable price. Based on the price and the Angie's List rating he had, I hired him without calling other people. He came out on January 23. He called 20 minutes before arriving. He spent a lot of time prepping the tub. A couple of hours later he was done. He gave me care instructions. I liked that he was responsive and on time. I had guests arriving on January 24 and would need to use the shower on the 25th. Cassio emailed me care instructions and a 5 year warranty. Based on my experience with Cassio, I would recommend him.

If you are sick and tired of contractors trying to dictate to you, the customer, what your needs should be, then Cassio is the man for you. This contractor leads the pack when it comes to something as simple as LISTENING to the needs of the customer. Cassio answered all my questions and helped me weigh options without making me feel like he was forcing me to make a decision. He did an excellent job and I will recommend him to all my friends and neighbors.

I was looking to re-glaze my pink bathtub, so I checked out Angie's List. Platinum Refinishing seemed to have very good reviews, so I called Cassio Silveria, owner. He answered my call immediately. We set up a date for him to do the job. He arrived promptly, he was friendly, courteous and professional. Cassio explained to me the process and what to expect. After he finished the tub, it looked so good that I had him do the tile surround, and just like that a pink bathroom turns white. When all was finished it looked like I had a new bathroom. Why spend thousands of dollars on a bath fitter type product. Just call Cassio.

Here is what he said in his email: "Platinum Refinishing Inc 12/14/2014 Wednesday is fine I will be working in west boca, just send me your address and phone number and I'll call you on my way there" Here is what he actually did: [crickets] That's right - complete silence from him - no phone call or email on the day of the appointment. He did not do what he said he would do and left us hanging through dinnertime. He did not show us even the least bit of common courtesy to let us know he could not keep the appointment he had made! STAY AWAY!!!

It went good. He came on time, polite, did a nice job and did everything he said he would do.

The owner, Casio, did the job himself. He returned my call within an hour of it being placed. He was very friendly, professional and accommodating. I will definitely use him again, in fact I am calling him back to have him reglaze the tiles along the wall as well. Very happy with his work!

Thank you again, Casio for an excellent job. This is my 2nd job utilizing Casio and his expertise in re-glazing. The results were superb plus Casio gave me a discount because I had used him before. You cannot go wrong with Casio. I highly recommend him.
