GALLUZI'S VENETIAN ART

This was the worst experience with a contractor that I've ever had. Steve came over and gave a quote which we both agreed would move in phases. I didn't haggle with him over the quote and even agreed to put money up-front "so he could get supplies" (by the way NEVER to that). He would show up 9-10ish which, although Im not paying by the hour, married me to the house for more days. I wanted to have the work done before Christmas (something we agreed upon when he first gave a quote) but as the work began steve pointed out some other issues and gave me a quote to do the work which I agreed. His work was ok but I noticed there were large spots that... I guess he had missed or hadn't been "burnished" (as well as large visible cracks in the venetian plaster). To give him the benefit of the doubt I noticed (some of them) at night when the "sun light glare" was not so heavy. In passing (never hounded him as he worked and always gave praise assuming/hoping the job would turn out as promised) I pointed this out to him at which point he became visibly upset. He stated that he was already working for "$50 a day" and that this job was going to cost him money. Calmly, (taken back by his demeanor) I pointed out that "he" quoted the job and I just wanted the finished product that we discussed and he promised. At that point he began to pack up his things (about 11am) and stated that he didn't have the things he needed to fix the problems. He stated that he was not going to be able to get back before Christmas and that he would call after the first of the year. I repeatedly asked if he was "quitting" in the middle of this job, to which he replied he just had some other things he needed to take care of. At that point he walked out. That was the end of December and I haven't heard or seen from him since. I'm not one who usually complains or takes the time to write something but I felt that I had to give my review.

Steve is the best, he is fabulous. I would recommend him to the universe. He is at the top of my list for recommendations. He bought all the stuff for me too.

He is excellent! He is caring, trustworthy, patient and has excellent workmanship. I would absolutely use him for more work in the future and would recommend him to others.
