Pro arrived on time and was courteous and personable. The price was competitive. The "lock on leave" feature would not work. Pro genuinely attempted to address the issue by exploring the reset functions but in vain. It turns out that he omitted to install the AA batteries. When I called him to point out the omission, he suggested that only the 9 vol. battery is required for the lock to be fully functional. He recommended that I try to install the AA batteries myself but expressed doubt that it would resolve the situation. Puzzled as to why would Schlage design the lock with two (2) different kinds of batteries (1 9v. and 3 AA) if only one kind could do it, I decided to explore on my own since the pro was not willing to come back and install the AA. Sure enough that was the reason that caused the feature not to work except that I was left to do it myself. I hired a pro because I lacked the confidence and wanted to make sure it was done the right way. Perhaps I would feel satisfied even if he called back to see if I managed to to resolve the issue.
