The service provider was on time. We had our security system updated by a private party since ADT wanted $1300 for substandard equipment. So for $560 we got a lot more( 3 wireless motion sensors,1 wireless smoke alarm,1 remote key pad, 16 sensors, new battery and panel) than the "standard" security system. The representative was not very clear on what he was suppose to do and was not very familiar with our system. He tried to tell us there was no audible alarm for when you arm the system. He also tried to get me to sign a "Decline for monitoring services". I recently saw the gentleman who installed my equipment, ALARM TRUST OF FLORIDA (954-923-0505) and he automatically coded the alarm for an audio alert that the system was being armed. Once again ADT has underwhelmed us with their incompetent handling of in home security and their willingness to overcharge for their services. I will try to steer this HOA away from using them. The $25 charge was for the alarm permit which hopefully he was able to find the Sheriff's office so that he could file it. I had to check using the provider in the future because according to the HOA contract we have to use them as our security provider.
Description of Work: ADT, which has taken over Devcon, was responsible for coming to the home to inspect the system and have it turned on for monitoring. Security is part of our HOA and the system had been dormant since April.

Alarm has been installed and serviced for over 10 yr. I was visiting, my mother who owns the house was in the hospital. I Accidentally set off alarm and it would not reset. They called the house immediately to check on break in possibility. Walked me through resetting the system after I supplied them with property's personal password, and they informed police of false alarm.

Description of Work: I called devcon after we bought our house and asked to have the system that the former owners had removed. I was told there was a charge to have the system removed which I willingly paid and then informed the sheriff 's office that there was no longer a system at this address. all was well until I got a letter from Devcon saying I had to pay a fee to the sheriffs office. I called Devcon and was at first told that I needed the password to even discuss the situation...since of course I had never owned the system I had no password. Then I called again and was told yes, I had disconnected the system and the letter was just computer generated. When I complained about that they hung up on me! If I ever were to want a security system I certainly wouldn't use Devcon. If they can't be responsive to me now whymwould they be at any other time.
