It went great. Technician showed up exactly on time. He proceeded quickly, quietly, and worked in a very clean manner. The entire transaction went exactly how I would have hoped. Took 3 1/2 hours, the price was fair, and the service excellent.
Description of Work: Removal and re-installation of a/c evaporator coils and blower motor. They also evacuated and re-charged the freon system, and didn't leave until everything was working properly.

After losing my mind talking about replacing the 2.5 ton Air Conditioner that ECM (East Coast Mechanical) had installed in 2008, I called Angie's List to get a recommendation for a new unit. I told my Angie's rep, Matt L, that ECM was quoting $6,200 for a new 2.5 ton. Not only that, they did say that I could replace the leaky part for $1,300 - but didn't mention that my old unit would be obsolete in 2 years when freon R22 would no longer be available. Matt L. (AL) told me ECM were being outrageous, and that he would immediately send me recommendations for A/C dealers in my Delray Beach, FL area. Within seconds, he emailed 4 companies, all "A" rated, but I started with number one on the list, County Line Air. All "A" Report Card and great recommendations, and they were the only one on the list that offered a 10% senior discount. I called the main office number and left a message that I wanted to discuss getting a new A/C unit. Within seconds, owner and firefighter, Matt Tupper, returned my call. He was on a job, but has his office phone line transfer messages to his cell phone. He promised to come by to survey my situation after he finished the job, he was doing. Sure enough, Matt came over, began measuring my garage closet where the unit would live, and then sat down to talk through the options available to me. What a great guy !!! He explained everything I needed to know ~ replacing that 2008 unit was a MUST because it would be obsolete in 2 years. He was appalled at the quote that ECM gave me for a 2.5 ton. He gave me the formula to figure out how many BTUs I needed for the 1,266 square footage under air in my home, and suggested that the 3 ton Rheem, 16 seer, not 13, would be the best choice and would be much more cost efficient than the unit I had. Also, he explained that I'm eligible for a $300 tax deduction because of energy efficiency. Matt dotted every "I" and crossed every "T!" And the price ~ all-in for installation and removal of the old unit would be $3,915.00 for a 3 ton, 16 seer Rheem. Finances are a huge problem for me as I broke my femur 2 years ago and am still paying off huge medical bills, so Matt worked out an 18 month payment plan for me that is very do-able. Matt's initial visit was last Thursday, and he scheduled my install for today, Monday ~ arrival between 9 and 9:30 am. Jesse and Joe came as expected and got right to work, explaining everything I needed to know about the new unit, thermostat, and washable filter. Matt came by to oversee and finish doing my paperwork. He got on my computer and registered the equipment for me. I have a conditional 10 year warranty on parts and one year on labor. All work was done, replacing and hauling my old junker, complete install and reviewing with me what I needed to know. And beautiful cool was filling my home before 1:30 pm! Fast and efficient work with a smile! I have only a HUGE amount of praise and gratitude for Matt and Company for taking excellent care of me! The horrific hot and humid weather is soon to be upon us, and now I have nothing to worry about !!! Such a relief! I recommend County Line Air and know that I will be calling them for my once a year checkup! And thanks to Angie's List for putting Matt at the top of the list of recommendations !!! Happy camper, Sharon Simon

I have had an air conditioning guy for 19 years. He has repaired and installed for me and my family and has been wonderfull. But now he has retired and I found Matt and County Line Air on Angie's list. Matt had to make 2 trips out, but he was able to keep the unit working while he ordered the part. He showed up 15 minutes early on both appointments!! I asked him to text me times for the second appointment so I would not be interrupted while working and he was able to comply with my request. I really like Matt and think I have found our "new guy". I did not check the pricing with any other repair companies and seeing how the repair was costly, I put a B there. I am pretty sure if I checked around, Matt would have had the best price and he would have had all A's.

Matt came over the same day we called and looked at the unit. Since it was raining hard he agreed to come back the next morning. He came back as promised and fixed the A/C inside and out. He helped us understand how to program the temperature. He was responsive and knowledgeable. We will definitely ask him to come back for the regular maintenance.

My a/c had not been working for a couple of days so on Saturday morning I had to call. I called Matt a little before 9am and he said he would be at my home within an hour which he was. He checked things out and seemed to know exactly what to do. He worked quickly and was very professional. He also explained in detail what the problem was. I've used his services before (for a different issue) and will continue to use his services as needed. If you are looking for an honest, professional and responsible a/c person then Matt is the guy to go to. I would highly recommend County Line Air.

I had a quote from our regular providers for some repair work that needed to be done. It seemed expensive and I shopped around, calling a couple of other contractors. I saw County Line's profile on here and liked it for a few reasons. I called to get a comparison and Matt called me right back, within a few minutes. He was very helpful in explaining the process. His price was competitive with our regular providers and the others. I would definitely call Matt for any work we need in the future.

I called Matt early Friday morning and he was there by 1pm as promised. He checked the thermostat and then the unit. He found that there was a leak in the unit and all the freon had leaked out. He said that he didn't have enough freon to fill the unit but he returned within the time he said. He had everything done in a very short amount of time. He was kind, knowledgeable and professional. The house was 86 degrees during the day but by evening it was very comfortable.

The delivery of the parts and installation was seamless, and they even worked around my sons nap time. Buy Monday afternoon I had a brand new AC system installed.. No hassle and no issues. Matt was there personally to inspect the work. He was not the cheapest out there, although the price was very competitive, but the level of service this company provided was outstanding.
Description of Work: On Friday my AC stopped working and on Sunday I found Matts company on Angieslist. After my initial call, about an hour later a technician showed up and told us what our options were. Even though it was Sunday he was not rushing and spend time talking to us. Later that day Matt called and spend time on the phone with my husband and I (on Sunday) and explained all our options and answered all the questions we had. By Sunday night he e-mailed us a contract and work started on Monday morning.

We have two AC units. Both went out within two days of each other. We called County Line Air at 8 pm. Matt answered and was very friendly and professional. He came to the house the very next day at 7:45 am right on time. Matt inspected the system and scheduled a follow up later the same day at 3 pm. Matt came right on time at 3 pm and worked for two hours. The cool air in the house feels great!

I am so glad to have found County Line Air ! What a relief to have someone trustworthy, who does what he says, when he says, charges reasonably, is fair and honorable ! My AC system is getting older, and will be due for replacement pretty soon. I will be certain to use County Line Air when the time comes. Thank you so much !
Description of Work: I came home late from work on Friday night and walked into a really hot house. Started calling to try to get emergency service, finally one of the big companies agreed to send someone. An hour or so later a techician arrived, 'diagnosed' the problem as a seized up condenser fan motor, said it needed to be replaced, and would cost about $600.00 for the work. Having no choice, I told him to dfo it, and then he hit me with the fact that he didn't even have the motor, the company would have to 'order' it, and that it would be a couple of days ! Since the weather forcast was for 90 degrees every day for the next several, there was no way ! The next morning, after a really bad night in the hot house, I called County Line Air and spoke to Matt. I told him I needed a condenser fan motor replaced right away, told him what brand, he told me he thought he had one in his truck, and that even if not, it would be no problem to get one. He checked, and called me back within minutes to advise that he really did have one, and would be at my house in 20 minutes....- and he was !! He got right to work, installed the needed motor, and noticed another part, the contacter, was burned. He offered to replace it at a reduced charge since he was already working on the unit, and, noticing that the head pressure was high and the coils dirty, also cleaned them (no charge). When he was done, he explained in detail what he had found, answered all my questions, and gave his recommendations. Wonder of wonders, cool air was now coming out of the ducts....!!

Over all this was an A+ experience. There was a single problem or issue Matt didn't take care of professionally. If he said he was going to do something it was done. It gives me great peace of mind that if there is a problem in the future Matt will be here to take of it. He had recommended one brand but I found another that was somewhat cheaper. Matt researched in and said it was a good deal and within the range I needed - financially and energry wise - turned out he was quite impressed with it - never pushed me into anything and was very professional. Highly recommended!!
Description of Work: Matt Tupper, owner of County Line Air installed 2 complete air conditioning units. He and his crew were very professional and prompt and there were no hidden charges. When he found problems he worked through them without added costs. He worked very hard to work within my budget. He explained all the pros and cons of various systems and every step of the work being done. He even had the crew and himself come in on the weekend to work around my work schedule! He took care of all the paperwork for warranties and credits. I had some problems with the filters that were custom made but he quickly took care of that with the company who manufactured them for him. There were numerous problems with the old system he had to take out of the attic - all was done professionally and on time - clean up was done professionally - I can't say enough about this work - and I dreaded having to deal with it! Thanks Matt - I will tell everyone who mentions an air prob that County Line Air is the solution!

I can not tell you how refreshing it is too find such a professional and honest company. It would have been very easy for the technician to conjure up pretty much any type of repair he wanted. I was concerned it was going to cost a lot of money to repair. I was so thrilled that they responded so quickly and were so honest that I signed up for their yearly maintenance plan. I will not even think about using anyone else for my service or any of my family members.
Description of Work: I contacted County Line when my outside unit would not turn on. Matt responded very quickly to my problem and was able to come over quickly the same day. The problem turned out to be a simple wiring problem and it was diagnosed and fixed within minutes. The unit now cools perfectly.

I had contacted County Line Air to come out and diagnose the issue with my A/C. Matt showed up on-time, very professional and was able to diagnose the problem within minutes. At the time, we needed a whole new compressor. We weren't ready at the moment to make the decision, so we told him we would let him know. In addition, once we made a decision, he would take off the $79.00 (cost of the visit) and put it towards the final bill when we have everything fixed. He took down the serial numbers of our unit and called us shortly after to make us aware that the parts were still under warranty! Without him letting us know, we would have waited and it would have been too late. I loved the fact that he wasn't "pushy" and let us decide what we wanted to do instead of making a rash decision. When looking for someone to work on my home (I am VERY picky!) - they must be licensed, professional, kind and trust-worthy. I would refer him to anyone who needed help with their A/C. Matt - Thanks again for all your help!

County Line Air came to my house within hours of calling them for my air conditioner not working. They were so nice and polite, honest, and even respectful of my home (they wore booties on their shoes to not get my carpet dirty!). They quickly diagnosed my problem and made the appropriate repair. They were a no BS type of company that I really felt I could trust. I was offered a reduced rate for a yearly service because of my service repair that same day and they completed it and found no other problems. They also have these really neat custom fit filters that seal inside the air vent that promise to protect our breathing environment. Just by the looks of it I understand how it will work to keep our home clean of air debris. Our AC unit is working better than before and the price cannot be beat. I will be sure that my family and friends will call County Line Air for their AC problems. Thank You Mr. Tupper!!!!
Description of Work: County Line came to my home and found an outside fan motor not working. He advised me of the problem and quickly made the appropriate repair. He also included in the price a yearly tune up of my air conditioning. I found the price of the yearly service agreement to be very reasonable and enrolled in his program.
