We recently replaced our skylight with Builders of America: what a great company! The job was excellent, performed in a timely manner, and at the right price. Dave was amazing, always very responsive, attentive and really nice to work with. When the job was done, Dave sent us the before, during, and after pictures. We are really pleased with this work and we highly recommend Builders of America!

The work that was done was done very well. The challenge in this review is not about the quality of work as it is very good. When we inquired about things such as paint seemingly shiny to where you could see where the work was done we were told we just did not understand. We also used Builders to clean our roof because they do not use chemicals. They charge 3 times the going rate but I choose to use them because they do follow up ie fixing and painting any tiles they break in the process. Their follow up was good and they left me paint so "I' could paint spots where paint pealed in the cleaning process. Here is the key: after I gave them the check for the job he told me he would not do any more work for me because I do not understand. We were nothing but good to them and if inquiring and asking questions is answered by you do not understand, then you decide!!!!

Dave was wonderful and very accommodating. The guys were also very polite and helpful with answering our questions. They did a great job and cleaned up everything when job was done. It is hard to get reputable people these days, glad we chose them.

A home is probably the most expensive item a family is ever likely to purchase. And the purchasing of a twenty-year-old house is likely to be filled with even more expensive surprises. On November 17, 2020, we had our expensive surprise as a midnight torrential downpour leaked down from the roof into our newly renovated home. In the early morning of November 18th, we secured some recommendations and Davids name kept coming up with positive reviews. We called David that morning and, by 10 AM, he was up on our roof inspecting the damage. Although we were expecting him to tell us that we needed a new $45,000 roof, we were pleasantly surprised (and relieved) when he told us that the roof was in rather good shape and just needed some repairs. We hired David immediately and after watching the crew work, were not disappointed. David and his crew treated our roof as if it were their own. The repair to the roof and the replacement of damaged pieces (including fascia board) were made in a careful, a clean and a methodical manner. He always communicated with us via telephone calls, texts and continually sent us daily update photos and videos of the progress they had made on the roof. They put in full days of work for three days, stopping only to have lunch. And when they were done, they cleaned all debris, power washed our roof, patio (including the screened in birdcage) and front sidewalk. They even rehung our Christmas wreaths. Thanks to David, his crew, and Builders of America, we now have a roof free of leaks and repaired to allow it to last for another ten years. We certainly dodged the proverbial bullet by hiring David. We enthusiastically recommend him to anyone who wants an honest assessment of what the roof needs to get it up to snuff, followed by top rate repairs done by personable, proficient professionals.

Unlike most companies these days, they show up, they do the work promised, and there were no surprises with the bill even though they had to do more than originally thought.

Repaired a leak in my roof. Professional, efficient and reasonably priced

This is the second time I ve worked with them and appreciate them so much - they excel in all of the areas of quality, professionalism, responsiveness and punctuality. Our roof lost a few times in a recent storm along the top ridge. I called David Restrepo - the next morning he came and looked at it and had someone there the same afternoon and next day to repair it and reinforce all of the ridges. He is very polite and always responds quickly to texts and sends pictures of the work that has been done. He will always be the first person that I call when I have an issue with my roof.

David, always professional and on-time, explained patiently and in detail (with photos) the two leak areas I was able to identify. He also shared photos and video clips of past examples until we fully understood what repairs were likely needed to correctly seal and repair the two areas. His quote seemed fair and was very competitive with 2 other quotes. Fortunately, his team found an additional leak in the attic that I was not aware of (I could not see it at all). He documented and photographed the 3rd leak for our review before moving forward with the needed repairs. We were very satisfied with his high level of customer service and a solid quality of work. A few months later we called David for a roof leak repair needed on another property we own. He explained in detail with pictures the different repair options available to us. His integrity ultimately saved us a few hundred dollars of unneeded cost. We are grateful for his professionalism and excellent customer service. I would not hesitate to contact David or refer him and his team for any future roofing needs.

Since the job was recently done I really can't say if it will hold up or not. I was given a 2 year warranty though. I gave them 5 stars as to there quality of work but right now I honestly don't know. Ask me again in 2 years :) I did find David to be very trusting and honest.
