The initial response time was great. They showed up on time, did the evaluation but that is where it ends. I called for clarification on the project (what kind of water heater would we be getting, would they remove the old one and if not where they would install the new one). Seems like pretty basic info. I was told they would return my call after speaking to a tech. I left messages and called multiple times, with absolutely no calls back. I'm going on over a week now without hot water. I paid a service fee for the visit and then they charged me $200 to replace the shut off valve on the old water heater to get us by with running water in the house until we could install the new one. I would never recommend a company that can't follow basic customer service practices. Extremely frustrated and disappointed. Stay away from this company. I'm looking forward to posting a good review on the new company I plan to work with for this project.

Do NOT use this company unless you have time and money to waste. They are unreliable, unprofessional, condescending, and dishonest. I have been trying to get my hot water heater repaired for THREE months and it is a never-ending cycle of excuses, canceled/rescheduled appointments, and unprofessionalism. I have contacted the Better Business Bureau as well.
Description of Work: Hot water heater was not heating. After three appointments, I was told it was the pilot unit. The unit "needs to be ordered" for each subsequently rescheduled appointment (x3).

Horrible. It's been 3 weeks. They have failed to show up three times for an appointment without calling. The one time they did show up they had the wrong part. Customer service is terrible. It says on the service receipt to call the regional manager of you have any concerns which I did only to get a voice mail.
Description of Work: Called HSA to fix leaking faucet in the bathroom. They diagnosed that the faucet needed to be replaced.

The seal from the end of the vent was causing water to drip on my clothes in the closet. He came out and resealed the vent and checked the other bedroom and resealed that vent as well. He was very courteous and explained what was happening.

The reason I don't want them back is because it's a big company, the turnover was I rarely had the same person back. I was having a recurring issue and they didn't seem to be able to fix it. They would put a band-aid on it and not able to really do anything about it. They were out several times and finally I discovered, after talking to someone else, that what the person who was here the last couple of times had told me was not true. So I didn't trust him anymore and I asked for someone else.

Assigned by American to repair my AC. After 12 days AC not repaired. They do not answer phones. They do not return messages. Jack seems to be the go to person and his lack of professionalism is remarkable. I would never recommend AZ or AIr now or whatever their company name actually is.

Description of Work: If you can choose somebody else do it! AZ plumbing is the worst company I have ever seen. I live in South Florida and this company was referred to me by American Home Shield warranty company. AZ plumbing has bad customer service and nonprofessional attitude. They would show up after numerous calls to AHS but they never follow through with the job. We still have problems with plumbing in the house and they don't care.

They tried to tell us that, “We need to move some piping and lessen at the other. It’s going to accomplices much more money.” We just worked round and round with the guy. Finally, my husband said, “Forget it.” Then he come back with, “I talked to my boss and he said, ‘go ahead and do this.’” The destroy keep changing. And then, he is pulling out our old water heater. He is raging it and dump it out onto our brand new paver driveway and let wasting. We had a pressure wash by professional company then to get it out.

I entered a incident report to AHS last Saturday (Jan 3/15) regarding my failing water heater. I did receive a call on Monday acknowledging the report from the contractor that you use here in South Florida A to Z Air conditioning and Plumbing. They said they couldn't come out on Monday but they would be here on Tuesday to inspect the job/water heater. Jay the service rep did come out on Tuesday as scheduled and said indeed that I need a new water heater as it has failed and that he could come back this week and install a new one and he just needed to report it to A to Z and they would schedule it. I felt good about the process and then I received a call from A to Z stating they would indeed replace my water heater with an additional $450.00 charge to change out the water line, temp and pressure line and the electrical line, all basic pieces that should be included in the installation if you asked me. Regardless, I need hot water so I said do what you have to do, let's get going. Then, A to Z tells me because of their workload they can't get here till next Monday the 12th, almost a week later??!!! I then started researching A to Z and water heater installations all together and the two highest rated plumbers on Angie's list gave me a much different scenario, all the small retro fitting that needs to be done (none of this is code upgrades mind you) to install the same sized water heater is always included in the install and it is same day or next day installation as it is considered an 'emergency situation' and certainly not a week or more as A to Z has 'promised'! Then I checked A to Z's rating and reviews on both Angie's list and the BBB and there are years of the exact same issue that I am complaining about and overall terrible integrity questions and overall service for this provider. So at this point I tried to let AHS know that this is NOT why I contract your services and I should have a basic level of trust that you are aligning yourself with the right business partners out in the field. AHS said that there are no other plumber options in my market, this is the provider they contract with. AZ was scheduled to come out and replace the heater on 1/12 and they offered to waive the 450.00 charge but they plain never showed up at my home, never called, nothing! I spoke to Paul in the office and he said they would be there at 6pm! Never saw anyone. No one ever called to apologize. AHS sent me a check for 1250.00, I went to Lowes and they came out the very next morning and fixed everything. Incidentially the retro kit only cost 28.00 at Lowes and AZ wanted over 400.00 for it? These people are crooks and con artists. I am sure they align with home warrenty companies and could never get regular service work with his type of reputation. I went to the very top at AHS an they admitted they have had many problems with Mr Leizgold and are trying to find a more reliable vendor to use. HORRIBLE experience, no hot water for a week?

9/14/14 - Made my clain with American Home Shield. 9/15/14 - AZ called and scheduled appointment 9/16/14 - I had an appointment from 10:00-2:00pm to replace my garbage disposal. Tech finaaly arrived at 4:30p and had excusses a mile long for being late. I accepted it because it was a easy repair/replacement that should get them in and out. The replacement was approved and they had a replacement on the truck, I think fantastic. I had a 3/4 HP unit and they started to replace it with a 1/2 HP. I stopped them made them get replacement of the 3/4HP approved with AHS. It was approved by AHS. They DID NOT have this "specialty" item on the truck. They would get one and be back the next day and I would be hearing from dispatch for the appointment. 9/17/14 - No calls from anyone. Called dispatch, they new nothing of the return visit (I later find out thet they no nothing anyway) so I call the number of the tech that was in my home the day before. "We have been on a roof all day and have not picked up the new garbage disposal. You will hear from the dispatcher when we will be back" Called the Dispatcher back and they referred me to Simon. Simon i sthe General Manager/Owner. He assured me that he would get it fixed. We then scheduled and Appointment for 9/18/14 9/18/14 - The scheduled appointment came and went. I called again to Simon and soon I have a call from the dispatcher again to set an appointment but this time it is for Saturday 9/20/14 from 10:00-3:00pm. 9/20/14 - Sat around all day Saturday waiting. The appointment time again came and went. I again called Simon ( who now will not return my calls) and the dispatcher. Dispatcher was able to schedule yet another appointment on 9/22/14 from 8:00 - 1:00pm. 9/22/14 - 10:05am recieved call from the dispatcher and was informed that we will need change the appointment to 9/23/14. Well, I lost it! I called Simon and AHS. AHS called AZplumbing and we still got the run around. Turns out that the tech is sick today and they cannot assign the job to anyone else in AZ Plumbing! 9/22/14 - They did finally assign a different tech to come and replace my disposer. He was in and out in 20 mins. reduclous I had to wait over a week to get it fixed. I have never been so angry with any service provider as I am with AZ Plumbing and I am not very happy with AHS either. STAY AWAY FROM AZ PLUMBING...THEY SUCK!

The provider was contacted by a home warranty company due to a broken garbage disposal on Tuesday, September 2 and came to my home the next day. The disposal needed to be replaced, and I was told by the serviceman that he would try to get a new one and replace it on Saturday, September 6. The next day, I was called by AZ and told he would be able to install the new disposal on Saturday between 12:00 and 5:00. At 2:35 on Saturday (over halfway through the waiting period), I received a message from AZ saying they did not have the part to repair my disposal and would call me on Monday. I was upset since I felt they could have called me earlier if they did not have the new disposal. This was something they should have known Friday or Saturday morning and told me then so that I would not have to stay home and wait. I never received a call to reschedule and finally called AZ on Wednesday, September 10, two days after they were supposed to call me. When I told the representative who answered that I was upset about the needless wait on Saturday and the lack of a call as promised on Monday, she never apologized for or even acknowledged this very bad customer service. She put me on hold for almost ten more minutes. When she finally returned, she said someone could replace the disposal Saturday, September 13 between 12:00 and 5:00, three days later. I complained about this and also said I would rather not wait five hours again on a Saturday. She then suddenly offered service on the next day! This seemed very odd, and I told her I did not appreciate this sudden change and asked why service on the next day was not offered initially. I also pointed out that she had yet to say she was sorry for the poor service I had received from AZ. When she did not reply, I realized she had hung up on me! My dealings with AZ have also been suspicious. I live in the Houston area. Yet I have not received a phone call from them on a local number. Instead, calls from them have been on phones from Florida, Alabama and Vermont. This includes calls from the repairman. According to AZ's website, they are based in Florida. However, due to the lack of local information provided by the website, it is very difficult to research them locally or to provide the proper local information to write this review. I have to wonder if this is intentional. Apparently, AZ is not concerned about providing good customer service. Unfortunately, I have already paid AZ the $75 fee that is my part of my home warranty contract. I now have to deal with my home warranty company to have a new provider replace the disposal without paying $75 again. They should certainly get the money I paid back from AZ. Do not use AZ Air Conditioning Plumbing. It is very clear that since they have my $75 they will do their job when they want with no consideration for me.

Paid standard service call under contract and they replaced water heater. They requested an additional $300 for replacing a brass valve with a plastic one, claimed pipes did not line up with new heater. After reviewing the work, there was nothing wrong with brass valve ( which I still have) and the pipes lined up perfectly with new water heater. They did absolutely nothing for the $. Spoke to owner of business (Alex Zadov) and he claimed the work was required. I contacted American Home Shield who refunded me the extra monies charged by the vendor.

Called Monday morning to schedule a appointment...told the receptionist that we had NO hot water to the home. She said the earliest that she could have someone out was Thursday afternoon. I asked if she can atleast just have someone come out to check the hot water heater that would be helpful because she told me that on Thursday they would not be able to replace it. She said that technician would just diagnose the problem and then reschedule the replacement. So then we waited until Wednesday the following week to get the hot water heater. HORRIBLE TO DEAL WITH - RUN!!!
Description of Work: Hot water heater install took over a week and half to install. They have the worst customer service. They are either too busy to keep up with the work or just do not care. Renee at the call center was awful. They really need to do something to improve. I would never recommend this company.

THESE GUYS ARE HUGE RIP-OFF ARTIST!!!!!! 1) Waited two day for technician to show up just to verify the water heater was bad (which was obvious from the start). Paid my $75 AHS service fee 2) Waited another three days for technician to contact AHS and confirm the water heater required replacement. Both AHS and myself call AZ and the technician several times in an attempt to get confirmation with no reply. 3) In addition to being paid for the water heater and labor for replacement, AZ claimed there were ' special modifications' required that AHS stated were not covered under my home warranty and that I would be required to pay an additional $270 ($345 total out of pocket + whatever AHS was going to pay AZ). 4) After verifying with the water heater manufacturer and two other plumbing sourcing that this was a standard replacement and no other special modifications were required I notified AHS that AZ was basically double charging for the labor. AHS stated they could not change the diagnosis made by the technician but would follow-up for an explaination of what work was required. 5) I opted for a cash out from AHS (they will reimburse me what they were going to pay AZ) and within one hour I had the water heater replaced by my plumber. I can see by the other reviews that there is a pattern of added charges by AZ - STAY AWAY FROM THEM!

Purchase a hybrid hot water heater from Sears and they arranged for AZ to do the installation. Per Sears "installation" basically means just a simple swapout of the units using existing connections. They charge $300 for that. However, there is never going to be a simple swapout when you go from a standard electric unit to a hybrid. AZ wanted an additional $350 making the total $650. Crazy. Some additional charge would have been acceptable but not $350. Accordingly I called Sears and they told me to refuse the installation and just have AZ leave the unit and I could arrange for my own install, which I did. Sears refunded the install charge. Total cost from other company, David Gray Plumbing, was $498 and they were real pro's. They did an outstanding job. AZ installed a neighbors hybrid, same unit as mine, and did a poor job. Exposed pipe was not secured to the garage wall which led to it cracking/leaking....repaired for free but caused 2nd leak.

We filed a claim with First American Home Warranty on Friday. They sent out AZ Remodeling and Plumbing on Saturday morning. The tech said we needed a new hot water heater and he would contact the warranty company as soon as he left our house. We called the warranty company 5 different times from Saturday to Monday and they kept saying the plumbing company did not submit the order. We finally talked to Simon at AZ Plumbing on Sunday night who said the warranty company was not open on the weekends. Funny since we ended up with both of them on the phone Sunday night. It was obvious neither of them were communicating with each other even though they said they were. Simon called Monday morning and said the order would be called in first thing that morning. I called the warranty company later in the morning and after spending 15 minutes on hold, I was told the plumber still did not submit the order. They even called the plumbing company and the person who answered the phone said the tech would be submitting it sometime that day. That seems to be the standard answer. After becoming extremely frustrated with both of these companies, I contacted St. Johns Plumbing. We had a water heater installed by 3 p.m. I cancelled the claim with the warranty company and AZ Remodeling & Plumbing. I also cancelled our contract with the warranty company. I would not recommend either of these companies. They don't give a darn about their customers!

The service was covered by my home warranty. In the begining I had to call my home warranty company twice. I put in one claim and then had to call again to finally get them out here. When the guy came out he was really shady and he tried to tell us he was off the clock. He was trying to get money out of us and it wasn't all the way fixed. I had to call my boyfriend to finish the job. I would not recommend this company.

THe plumber who came out was great, he was patient and resolved the problem. The only problem was that our total was for over $100 and we handed them a check and he told me that they do not take checks for over $100. He then said that they will call me and ask for my credit card information and they did call me but it was from a random number so it was kind of sketchy getting a call from a random number that did not show up as AZ plumbing and have them asking for our credit card information.
