AC Maintenance Services
Your air conditioner will work harder than it was intended to, thanks to Amazing Air. You cannot go even a second without air conditioning in the summer due to the oppressive heat and humidity. For the first several years at least, a brand-new air conditioner will function perfectly. However, if it is not properly maintained, it will eventually begin to malfunction or stop working suddenly. You must make sure that your AC is properly maintained if you never want to give up the cool comfort of your home. AAA Amazing Air steps in to help here.
System Design
Based on the assessment, the HVAC company will design a customized system that meets the building's heating and cooling needs. This includes selecting the appropriate equipment, such as furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductwork, thermostats, and ventilation components.
Ventilation Installation
In addition to heating and cooling, the HVAC system also includes ventilation components such as exhaust fans, fresh air intakes, and air filters. These are installed to maintain indoor air quality and remove stale air or pollutants.
Ductwork Installation
For central heating and cooling systems, the installation involves setting up ductwork to distribute conditioned air throughout the building. This includes sizing and positioning the ducts, installing registers or vents in each room, and ensuring proper sealing to minimize air leaks.
Testing & Commissioning
After installation, the HVAC system will undergo thorough testing to ensure all components are working correctly. The technicians will check for proper airflow, refrigerant levels, electrical connections, and overall system performance. They will make necessary adjustments and fine-tuning as needed.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY Dealing with AAA Amazing Air (owner/operator Ken Schuler and Mike) was an 8-month nightmare. I wish we could leave "0" stars. AAA was increasingly unprofessional and obnoxious, didn't handle the permits properly, and refused to service our Trane ac unit on several occasions unless we paid them, although we had a year of free labor. AAA installed two ac systems, one on Sept. 20, 2023 and another on Dec. 6, 2023 because the 1st system kept breaking. Both systems had identical problems after being installed. In Oct., the 1st ac system began having problems. Between Oct. and Dec., 5 major parts were replaced and we were without air for at least 10 days. Ken missed 14 appointments, 9 of which he just didn’t show. My wife and I were very frustrated and demanded that we stop getting parts for our new system. We also told Ken in Dec. that he was no longer allowed on our property because of what my wife and I both observed on multiple occasions. The 2nd ac system was installed on Dec. 6. In Mar., we started having the same problems. When I called, Ken and Mike said we weren't a priority because they don't make money from servicing units, just installations. We spent another 8 days without air and a part was replaced. Mike also tried to sell me an "optional part" for $410. In Apr., the same problems began again. Another 3 days without air. Mike then tried to convince me that the problem was inside the house and quoted me $1,900. Ken began telling us “If you want us to come out it’s is $150 service call.” He later texted “I do not think you are understanding there is something wrong with your unit that is not under warranty. In order to fix the problem you’re going to need to pay money.” How could there be a problem with a 4-month-old new unit that wouldn't be covered by the warranty? On May 25, we found a puddle inside under the air handler. An AAA tech who came out had dislodged the drainpipe and the float switch on the air handler failed. There was water damage to 2nd floor under the air handler and to the 1st floor ceiling. I texted Ken. He told me that no one would come out that day (even though they supposedly have 24hr emergency services), but if they did eventually come out, they would charge us. Ken eventually offered to have a company of his choice fix the damage. We said no. Ken then offered to have a contractor come out and give us an estimate. AAA would then give us the money and we could choose who we wanted. But when we accepted, Ken sent a picture of the water damage to his contractor who responded it would take only $125 to repair. Ken said he would give us the $125 if we also signed a form taking away their responsibility from any problems with either unit. We said no. Regarding the required permits, AAA didn't get one for the 1st ac system. For the 2nd system, Ken told us they applied for the permit and that the county would contact us for the inspection. We never heard from the county. I texted Ken and Mike three times and received three different stories. I checked the county's permit website on May 22; AAA did not request a permit until Apr. 5 AAA never followed up to get their work inspected and their insurance expired on Apr. 10 according to the Permit Dept. This means that unless AAA takes care of their responsibility, my wife and I will have to pay $75 to take over the permit to get the inspection done. Because of the constant problems with AAA, we got in touch with Trane's Consumer Relations Escalation Department in April. Our representative suggested we have an authorized Trane dealer inspect our unit and send the findings to Trane. Pride came out and fixed multiple problems and even removed a bottle of spray glue that was left inside the unit. Pride also discovered and fixed the main problem: AAA didn't wire the inside unit to work properly with the outside unit. The $2,300+ Mike recommended had nothing to do with the constant problems. Because of what Pride found and Trane's concern for their reputation, Trane reimbursed us 30% of the labor costs we paid to Pride. Update 9/19/24 DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY- Update We ended up having to take over the permit and pay $75. Also, because AAA used a 4 ton air handler with my 5 ton outside unit, the air handler speed has to be set to maximum. The air handler is very, very loud and costs much more to run. Last, Ken Schuler texted me on Aug. 28 telling me that he had been gone for 7 months and to call him so we can come to "some kind of a happy solution." 7 months... more like 2... Ken and I last texted with each other on June 21. He knows everything. On Aug. 30, Aug. 31, and Sept. 1, I reached out to him to talk. On Sept. 4 he told me that he was "swamped." He never called back. Warning to others: according to the Palm Beach County Planning, Zoning, and Building Dept. website, his certificate is expired and he has not had general liability insurance since 4/10/24. According to the dept., he can't request permits, which are required by code in, and is working without general liability insurance.
