Shortly after the contract was signed, Wade came to my home with complaints against me. He stated there were "red flags" in regards to what I wanted to have done. He said that it was inappropriate for me to share the contract he gave me with some additional contractors. In my opinion, that is just placing a bid and getting estimates. At that point, I felt he wanted to get out of the project because he found something better. I had asked the engineer for a ballpark figure on what he thought it might cost for the project. I told Wade that I did that, he was angry and said that he asked the engineer and the engineer said he never gave me an estimate. I feel like he just wanted to dump the job. He has been pushing the job off since the contract was signed. I didn't want to let him go because I had so much invested in him. I had a background and criminal check on him, as well as paid the engineer myself. Originally, he knew he wouldn't be available for Febuary, but possibly March; which turned into April and then May. When I spoke to him today, he stated he could still start in May, but needed three months in order to complete the job. I started to negotiate that time frame down, at which point he stated that he didn't believe we could work together. I feel that this is just another way for him to get out of the job. I reminded him of the contract we have and he became upset and started to yell and be hostile. I feel that he has strung me along and has lost his credibility. This would not have been any issue if he had started when he originally said he would, the work would already be done. I feel that he has other work that takes precedence over my work and no longer wants anything to do with my project. If this is the case, he should never have signed the contract. I believe people should be made aware that they cannot trust Wade. He doesn't stand by his signed contracts and certainly not his word. I feel he wasted my time.
Description of Work: I met with Wade in December to have him do several repairs on a home and repairs/replacement on cement supports around the house. He organized an engineer to provide a report on the supports and what needs to be done. After the engineer's report, a contract was signed in January detailing everything that he was to do.
