Shawn was very personable from start to finish. My project was not a huge one but at no time did Shawn act as if I was wasting his time. He came earlier than expected but called first to make sure that was okay with me. He hung my blinds and made sure that they were both visually appealing and in working condition. His price was very, very reasonable and his work ethic what I expect someone to have. I would recommend him to friends and will definitely use him again.

Shawn completed the job in a few hours. He returned a few weeks later for the finish work ie trim. The price above also included all materials for the job so his prices are excellent! This was not purchased through Angies list but is a continuation of work needing to be done at my daughters house that was originally purchased from Angies list. I was compelled to rate him again because he does such a great job. I will not hesitate to call him again!

Mr Handy has a pleasant personality. He worked diligently and no task was beneath him. He is very professional and very knowledgeable about fixing things. He was kind enough to take me in his truck to pick up a very substantial cabinet and put it together wit ease. I have used his services several times since the first job he performed for me and he is still very professional, punctual and is helpful and creative when it comes to deciding on how to get the job done right the first time. I recommend him without hesitation!

Everything went great. Shawn has a number of very large and complex remodeling jobs going on but was always able to fit me and my small tasks in within a couple of days of calling him. He has even helped me on the weekend. He is a great guy to talk to,while he is working and seems to be knowledgeable about everything I needed done. He is very easy to work with and extremely conscious in regard to getting the job done right and pleasing the customer. Would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone needing something small or large done. He is THE MAN TO GO TO!

Mr. Handy was right on. Showed up on time answered all questions. Did his research and came back with an acceptable quote. Gave Mr. Handy the job. Gave Mr. Handy a deposit for the project and we were off to the races. Mr. Handy ordered the materials keep us informed of the process of receipt of materials and notified us of when the materials were received. Scheduled installation and showed up on time the day of installation date given installed the Door with the new doggie door and did A GREAT job. Only one surprise, Mr. Handy was $over $250.00 dollars under the quoted price. What a great way to finish out a project with a contractor. I would and will use Mr. Handy again on any project in the coming years. I would give Mr. Handy a 10 star rating on the 5 star rating system. Shawn had a long "honey do" list which included hanging curtain rods, mounting a headboard on the wall, replacing screening, drilling and placing kitchen cupboard knobs and handles, and building a wheelchair ramp. All tasks were completed and look professional and we have even asked him to give an estimate for a few more things needing to be done! Thanks Shawn!

We emailed back and forth and could not get the appointment scheduled. He was just too busy, I needed this done sooner than later. I thought he would at least want to look at the work that I needed done, I had to describe what I needed done in an email, he just said he would call me after two weeks. I feel that he should have at least called me, not just communicated via emial. I am just requesting a refund.

I am very pleased with the new lamppost because it looks so much better, is very well-constructed, and is an exact match to the older lamppost. Shawn and his partner took an interest in the project making suggestions that required more work for them, and this definitely improved the lamppost. I really appreciated the quality workmanship and expertise they added to the project!

We are very pleased with the new doors. Shawn was professional, courteous and neat. He spotted something was not right in the stripping in the doors from the manufacturer and followed up to correct it.

We had SO many small jobs (for him) that were HUGE JOBS for us. We are "ripe old age" homeowners with a to-do list we could no longer do ourselves. We also had changes that needed to be made to help us deal gracefully with health challenges. Mr. Handy accomplished our work between Nov 2013 - Mar 2014. We sort of spaced it out because of financial reasons, and no sense of urgency for most of the things we needed done. Mr. Handy was an answer to our prayers! Health problems sort of let needed upkeep get away from us, and natural weathering of a 15 year old Florida home provided a challenge then ..... ALONG CAME MR. HANDY! Listen, I do not want him to get too busy ... we have more projects planned (now that we have somebody who we trust, who is reliable, dependable, and who does great quality work)! But, we have to let Angie's world know that he is out there. It is hard to find a "handy man" to trust - but he is ours!

His work was neat and effective. You could almost set the clock on his punctuality. He called before coming and cleaned up after himself. He was friendly and fair about his prices. Best of all he stopped the leak which had damaged an interior wall.

My smoke alarm started "chirping" (every minute or so) on Saturday night at 11:00pm (like all smoke alarms do at that hour for some reason). My dogs were scared to death and I and my wife got little sleep through the night as I had no way of disconnecting the alarm or changing the battery as it was too high for me to reach. I am too old and clumsy to be climbing ladders or working in high places, so I called Mr. Handy (Shawn Reddick) in the morning. At 8:30 in the morning (Sunday) I called two handymen.... One from the "yellow" pages and the other from the Angie's List website. Shawn Reddick (the one from Angie's List) retuned my call within one half hour and responded to my house at 10:00am (30 minutes before the expected time). The battery was replaced by Mr. Reddick in no time and my dogs were once again happy and calm. The cost for an emergency Sunday call was very reasonable and the prompt response was very much appreciated. Mr. Reddick also followed up later to make sure everything was still OK. (The handyman I called from the yellow pages did eventually return my call (at about 11:00am) and informed me he did not work on Sundays ... eve though the ad stated he performed emergency work).

the price was right and the job was done on time I would highly recommend this man to friends and others to do work for them. I know that when I need something done I can call on Shawn to get the job done.

I met with Shawn in November to discuss the deck I wanted built. I was not in a big hurry and we agreed that after January 1st would be good to start. He finished his contracted work load and began the deck on January 14th. Between our first contact in November and the start date of January 14th, we discussed all of the specifics that were required so when he arrived on the 14th we both knew what was expected. Everything went according to the plans ( the few unexpected things were solved quickly) and with some time off for rain my deck was finished on January 20th. The workmanship on the deck is very professional, everything that I wanted (even lattice that could be removed to allow access to underneath) was included and I now have a beautiful deck that I'm looking forward to using when the weather warms up. I enjoyed working with Shawn and his helper and they did an excellent job on all aspects of the planning and building. They even adjusted the gate going into the property because it dragged on the road and was difficult to open.

We had a very large room with a wood ceiling that needed to have the finish lightly sanded & then apply polyurethane. The project required a significant amount of prep work. Shawn & his partner came out promptly & gave ,e a estimate. He ended up charging us less than his quote. They were very meticulous & thorough. I would recommend him for any project.

He was very responsive, returned my calls quickly and sent a written estimate within 24 hours. Great quality of work and attention to detail. Very professional - will definitely use their services again.

This was a difficult job that required scaffolding and steaming of the old paper. It was a difficult, time consuming job that went very well. Mr. Handy has done both interior and exterior painting for me as well as installing crown molding. Each job was done professionally, expertly and with attention to detail. I would not hesitate to recommend him to the more discriminating of people.

Contractor is skilled and work was done efficiently and promptly. Clean-up was excellent. Contractor is professional and has a good attitude. Pleasure to work with and will re-contract when future work is needed.

As with older homes, my lake house needs repair and maintenance often. Shawn is the best person to call on for repairs and maintenance because he has done work for me in the past and I can trust him to do things correctly and at a reasonable cost. He has access to a key, and because I live over a hundred miles away, I can trust him to enter my place anbd take care of things. He always consults me before he does the work so I know in advance what to expect. I definitely would recommend him to anyone. He cleans up any mess that he makes and often leaves my house cleaner that it was! There is a trust factor that is important to me, and I totally trust Shawn.
