Helping hand moving services

They were very very good. I would recommend them. They were really good, and I liked them. Very easy to work with. A couple of hours to move. It was a local thing.

I needed a move from one complex to another in the same city, a total distance of around ten miles apart. Two movers showed up in a drastic hurry; said they had another job to do in the same city, ( which I later found out was a lie when I called and complained to the owner Jim). There where aomw items such as two dressers and a couch that where not being moved and where going to simply for my to be escorted to the garbage. However, one of the movers gave us a hard time about moving the couch to the garbage( not far from where they where parked). They left the other items that where supposed to be disposed of. Additionally they said their truck was full and couldn't accommodate more,(however we later found out they had a trailer they had parked in a different section of the complex that they grabbed on the way out) that was empty. They left so much stuff behind I had to rent a UHAUL and still am moving stuff. When I called the owner Jim and told him the difficulties he told me to " put my big boy pants on" it sounds like there where communication issue and misunderstandings and hung up on me. It should also be noted one of the movers could not comment enough times about how he needed the tips because the company didn't pay well. Below is part of the stuff left behind in the UHAUL we are at the time of this writing still moving stuff left behind. Although the price below is the cost of the move you should add another $100 in tips as is mentioned here it was obvious it was expected.

As a nice gesture one would provide some type of cold drink BC the guys don't ever stop. They get down to business but are still very approachable. I already had my stuff packed up in my 2 bedroom but it was completely moved out in an hour! They drive with your stuff in mind. Taking turns carefully and seem to know their way around town very well. I was moved into a storage but will definitely be reserving them for my next move. Reservations were done quickly with detailed steps as well as payment options. There are a lot of moving companies in the area but this local company is by far the best. Great rates, great service and less stress on your mind.

1 week prior to my move, I called Jim at Helping Hands Moving to confirm date/time/price. He told me they could not do my move at the time I had reserved and that he would just cancel my reservation. When I attempted to tell him I did not want to cancel, he hung up the phone. I'm pretty sure it was because mine was such a small move and he could make a lot more on larger moves at such a busy time as the end of the month. This was very unprofessional behavior. Left me wondering if this company would have even notified me in advance that they couldn't do it or just not shown up on moving day.
