The marsite was done in a timely manner and was fine almost 4 months later the salt water chlorinator is still not installed After 4 months we were told we needed a new pool timer and we needed to hire an electrician to wire the chlorinator. The contract was for Salty Dog Pool to install the device It was obviously not inspected prior to signing the contract nor was it mentioned It should have been included in the estimate and contract if it needed to be done That is their job. We did not even realize the chlorinator would have to be wired to the timer The electrician we called to finish the job immediately knew it was Fred from Salty Dog He told us that he does this all the time Do not use this company. They are not reliable They are now refusing to finish the job

Very Impressed, we have a pool that years ago we had a fiberglass coating installed. Nothing but trouble, they repaired it 4 times. This is a coating that should never be put in an existing pool! A costly mistake! Fred Coffin, owner of Salty Dog Pools came out and spent over 3 hours explaining the different options of renovating our pool. We were very impressed with Fred's knowledge. He measured everything and his proposal listed every step and the cost. Fred is the owner, you don't have a salesman that is working on commission to sell you everything. Fred gave us multiple options. When we decided to go with the renovation, Fred came back out and spent another 3-4 hours with us. We went to Brooksville twice to look at the different color pavers and pick up samples, and a few trips to the Tile Store to look at tile samples. As it turned out, Fred did an outstanding job renovating our pool! It took less that two weeks to complete the project. The pool was drained and they had to Hydro Blast all the fiberglass out back down to the concrete. The workers were very professional, covered everything, and totally cleaned up when they were done. We elected to go with coping and pavers. Fred's installers were again very professional, and talented. They did an exceptional job, and again, cleaned up very well when they were done. We had all the tile replaced in the pool and the spa. Fred's Tile Man, Jason, was another professional in his field and did a great job. He installed a piece of marble in the spa that created a very nice spill over. We elected to go with the Super Blue Krystalkrete Finish. Again, Fred's crew arrived covered all the decking with tarps and worked non stop in the heat until the finish was complete and the water started to fill. This crew worked very hard and totally cleaned up when they were done. We also elected to have the Salt System installed, which can't be started for 30 days so the pool can cure. We're looking forward to this option and not having to deal with chlorine. Fred was in constant communication with us during every step of the renovation. He did a "Stellar" job! Suggestion: Stay away, stay far, far away, from Fred the owner

Slow to get started, but once they did, the crew moved fast. They missed installing my hand railing, which was supposed to have been attached at the bottom of the pool (under water). Didn't discover this until after water was being put back into the pool -- too late to fix it then! Took another week to get the hand railing installed, and then when it was installed, it had a flaw in the material, so had to be replaced. Took another week to get the new one installed. Also, crew did something to grass outside of the pool area -- I have a 5 x 5 spot of burnt grass now.

Fred is the owner. I thought it was good pricing, it seemed to be right in there with most everybody else. They were punctual, responsive and did what they said they were going to do when they said they were going to do it.
