I have used DIHS for a few past projects and have been very pleased with the responsiveness, knowledge, quality, ingenuity, reliability and, most of all, customer service skills of Sead, the owner. This job is the most recent and was done in two parts. The first part was a flat fee and it turned out to have been underbid (but, notwithstanding, Sead graciously honored the original bid). What was to have been an easy fill of two 3' cracks on a large, exterior wall (one that was totally unobstructed by trees, etc. and at most times directly in the sun showing each tiny blemish that appeared on the surface of the wall) turned out not to be so easy. The workman assigned to the job was unable to blend the compound he used for patching the cracks into the existing stucco texture so that the patches and the surface area around them were unnoticeable once painted. Although the workman was happy with his work, I was not. All I had to do was contact Sead who assured me that making me happy was all that mattered. Two more attempts were made to remedy the blemishes on the wall caused by the patches (far more noticeable at certain times of day (position of sun) than the original cracks) but there was not much improvement. Yes, it was stressful for Sead and the workerman whom he had assigned to the job, and awful for me thinking "What have I done....I should have just left the cracks alone!" but Sead was reassuring, respectful and clearly was not going to stop until the problem was resolved. Sead consulted with stucco contractors whom he knew to research how to match the stucco texture so that it blended in with the rest of the wall.but none of them offered hope. Finally, he mixed something into the stucco to change its original texture and much to Sead's and my delight/relief, there was a match......at any time of day/position of the sun! No, I would never want to go through this again, nor would Sead, I can assure you. But not once did Sead show anger, annoyance, frustration or resentment. He was the consummate professional and throughout, it was clear that all he wanted to do was make me happy. The rest of the job was smooth sailing compared to the exterior painting aspect of the job. Most noteworthy was the ability of the workman to prep and patch the various areas of the ceiling which were stained and peeling around the A/C vents. The workman worked like a master to match the ceiling texture, was careful to make sure the ceiling paint used for the patch matched what was on the ceiling already, and did an absolutely perfect job on each vent. Sead and his men are definitely talented and skilled workmen and absolute joys to work with. And Sead is one of the most professional and customer service oriented contractors I have ever used. My only two complaints are that (a) paint was splattered or accidentally applied to lock plates, door hinges, floor surfaces, my brick front porch, the electric meter box outside, etc. and yet, due to this job running way behind schedule, they pulled out without cleaning it up - I'm still trying to find a fix now that the latex is baked into the surface. But this is small stuff, when you consider all they did. (b) due to them running behind schedule due to the "stucco job from ****" and therefore being rushed, I found that, had I not reminded them, certain aspects of the job would have been forgotten or not completed with the excellence they normally deliver. Sead and DIHS will be my "go to" contractor now and forever.

Excellent - attention to detail - timely - reasonable. Dead was always there when I need him. His associates Sterling and Jose did super work. I will strongly recommend this company any time. Price? Just surprisingly very reasonable. Great job. I would highly recommend them.

Analyzed the situation, and using ingenuity, propped up the platform, placed screws in the concrete block wall that supported the side beam of the platform. Fast. Inventive. Confident. Came well-equipped. No hesitation. No anguish. A great job. I had envisioned a much more complicated approach.

Sam the handyman that came to our house is very exact and methodical. He reminds me of a European worker. It looks like I do not have to call him back to redo his work, the thing that happens in South Florida almost always. I am keeping my fingers crossed, and if I have other projects I will call him back.

I was happy with what they did. It was good work. Everything is working to this day and it's fine.

Sead was very professional. Everything was done on time and on budget. They ripped out our old tile, fixed the leaky shower pan, retiled the shower, moved the plumbing, assembled and installed our new vanity. We had one small hiccup (we asked the shower head yo be moved up, it was, but not high enough for our liking) and he cleared it up with in half a day. He did use some others to do the work but was on top of it so it didn't matter to us. They were also very gracious and cleaned up after themselves every day. He came by to inspect the work and ensure we were happy.

Amazing! Sterling is the definition of excellent customer service. He kept me in the loop with regards to his arrival times, and advancements throughout the day. He texted me pictures, and even facetimed to discuss the proposed designs. He stayed past the time estimated to finish the job, along with installing my front door's keyless entry locks. He consulted on some future projects, and even helped us identify possible causes for our freezing A/C unit. He followed up the next morning to see how the A/C did during the night, and even recommended a reputable service company to come out the same day. I highly recommend this service to anyone who is looking for stellar customer satisfaction.

I live out of state and had an investment property that i needed to sell. Originally I called a couple of my contractor friends to quote/perform the jobs and they left me stranded. I turned to Angie's list I found Sead here on Angie's list because of his #1 ranking and called him for a quote. He responded immediately, arranged to quote the job the next day, visited the job site and gave me a fair quote and time frame to complete the job. Once i was ready to commence, I called him during the Christmas Holidays and he managed to start work within a day or two of my call. Upon inspection by the city, it was determined i needed additional work to get the home compliant to sell, I called Sead again and he was able to quote and commence the job immediately thereafter. Thanks to his professionalism, and quality of his work, the house passed certification and i was able to get it sold. Sead solved the problems i've been dreading for the last 10yrs. Thank you for your professionalism and craftsmanship.

I bought the full day package for a handyman . Spoke to the company and set up appointment .I told them I would need a high ladder. Sterling showed up as scheduled . He saw my list and made a list of items needed and promptly went to Home Depot. There's nothing he can't do. He was very professional and found other items that needed work. He is excellent and goes above and beyond . I would not hesitate to use this company but make sure you ask for Sterling.

I paid for handyman service for one day and appointment was scheduled for 9 am this morning. I re-arranged my work schedule to accommodate the service. I was to have 5 ceiling fans replaced and a drywall hole patched. No one showed up or called me this morning come 9 am and I got online to check my email. There was a message from the provider that his "guy" called in sick this morning and would not make it. I had spoken to DIHS 3 times, and, he definitely had my phone number, however, he told me he did not have it. I think it would be wise to give a contact number to whoever you are sending on a service appointment in case they are running late, or just to confirm an appointment. This obviously was not done. I would not recommend this highly unprofessional "service" provider to my worst enemy.

I think it went well. I didn't pay anything extra. I think the guy fixed the job but there was something that was a problem. He wasted two hours. He stayed till 6:00 and from 4:00 to 6:00, he did nothing. I wasn't totally pleased. Actually, I had it redone. He came on time.

The service man did a great job, but when he returned the next day to paint, it had rained very hard and the windows had leaked again. It was determined that the window supplier needed to repair the windows again before painting could be done. I never got back to them to finish the job.

He was friendly, attentive to detail, unobtrusive, took care with the materials, pointed out a few things that could be repaired without being pushy

Excellent. Matt arrived on time and I showed him everything we needed done. I picked the rotten wood bathroom project for today. We have so many jobs he will be returning. If you're hesitating at all about hiring DIHS .... don't. Totally professional and extremely competent. Cleaned up completely. Very happy customer here.

It went very well. They were very neat and managed to remove the old counter without damaging the back splash which I wanted to keep. They finished every thing including clean up in good time. They were very professional and responded to small changes I wanted to make.

Removed the wood 2x4 that was blocking the space for the range. Did quickly and was very clean.
