Mid-State Fence

We solicited apples-to-apples bids from three fencing contractors. Mid State's price was very competitive. Their sales representative made two visits to our home during the bid process and answered all of our questions and provided all of the information we required to make an informed decision. The installation crew showed up on time; they were extremely polite and professional. The owner spent time onsite each day. We are thoroughly pleased with the quality of the finished product. We have no hesitation in recommending them to others.

The sales guy from this company was great and made it sound like i was getting a really great fence.. But when I had boards splitting and gates sagging after a week it took me a few phone calls to get them back out to fix it. Within a couple of days more wood started to split and crack and the fence posts were splitting. I've called them 5 times over a 5 week period and they keep telling me they are coming to look at it but they never show up and never call me back. It seems that they think my split boards are normal, but looking at every other fence in my neighborhood, mine looks newer, but is worse quality! No other fences have split boards like mine. Also the notch in the gate for the gate opener was done poorly the first time. When they finally came back the 2nd time they admitted that it looked bad and so they redid it. But it still looks ba

They are wonderful people. We were very happy with their price. They came out, drew their plans for the fence, and showed them to us before installation on site.

We only had a few minor problems with the fencing and when I called them to fix it, they came right out. I am very pleased with how my fence looks and with how professional they were. I would recommend them to anyone.

The installers did a very good job and were extremely nice. However, the salesman/manager called, while the installers were there and insisted that we had to clear more brush away from the fence line or they would do it and charge us another $75 to $100. To avoid an extra charge, even though we had already cut our bushes back weeks before in anticipation of the new fence work, I went out and spent an hour and a half cutting more branches. Our next door neighbors, who were having their fence done at the same time, did not cut back their bushes so the installers did it. The neighbors called the office to say they would not pay the extra charge because it was never mentioned in the walk through with the salesman when the contract was signed. I called the salesman to complain about the work I ended up doing and he was extremely rude on the phone and argued with me. I would never use them again because of the unbusiness-like way Dirk spoke to me.
