DO not use Accurate pavers what ever you do. Rodney is a con man and they do the worst work. A month ago we had a bid from Rodney on fixing our pavers in our driveway and they came out a few days later and did the work. The cement work looked like they didn’t mix it properly and it was a complete mess. Within two weeks it had all crumbled. I called Rodney and nicely asked him to come look at the work and then I saw the true nature of the guy. He immediately got defensive and told me we must have done something and his work was fine. He then said send him photos which I did. After that he wouldn’t return my calls or texts. My husband called and did talk to Rodney and showed him videos. Rodney refused to even come look. We are out 1k and will have to have the cement work redone at our own expense. My experience is Rodney gets very aggressive. Steer clear.

Spoke to Rodney on a Wednesday and received a quote, I agreed on a Friday and by Monday he had the job started. Chris arrived Monday and did a fantastic job! He spent attention to detail and really did quality work on pressure washing and sealing the pavers. We found a few areas dipping and asked Rodney for another quote. The quote was reasonable and he had a crew out two days later. It’s fixed, sealed and beautiful. I would use this company again.

Beware!! I thought I could trust Rodney to do what he said he would but I was mistakenly wrong. I contracted him to put about 2,400 sq ft of pavers down for my driveway and another 400 sq ft for a patio. He also was to landscape my yard and put sod down. Before the work started he asked me to mark all my sprinklers so they would not hit them when they do the demo work. As requested, I marked all the sprinklers but the forklift driver still hit several sprinkler heads, broke the main water line from the well to the pump, broke the sidewalk, and damaged the patio. I ended up spending over $1,700 on sprinkler repairs, needless to say Rodney did not care. I have called Rodney several times on two different numbers, I have texted him and I have emailed him too, but he refuses to return any calls or texts. Driveway – Upon completion there are several dips in it and it is not level. There are bricks that are cracked or damaged and they did not fill in all the cracks with sand after laying the bricks down. Patio – When doing the landscape, the bobcat driver hit the patio and damaged it. Not only was it damaged, they ran out of one size of bricks for the perimeter and used a different size brick – now it does not match the driveway. I was told that the patio guys would be back to fix it but they never came back. Landscape – They were to lay approx. 16 pallets of sod and landscape the yard, but just like the driveway and the patio the job was not done to completion. I had asked for a low spot next to the patio to be filled in and brought up to grade – this was not done. When laying the sod they left gaps in between each piece of sod; I was wondering why they would do this but then when I saw the front yard was not completed and it needed another full pallet sod it makes sense. It is very difficult to walk in the yard because of the gapes in between the sod. They were trying to stretch out the sod. Again, I tried several times to contact Rodney but he never returned any calls. I had to but a pallet of sod and lay it down myself. Permit – I had to call and have the final inspection done because Rodney did not. What a terrible experience this was, from no supervisor on site to damaging my sprinkler system, and a terrible landscaping job, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND Accurate Pavers to anyone. I am in the process of talking to my lawyer to see what can be done. Hopefully I can get all this fixed right like it should have been. The sad thing is I had several neighbors wanting to do paver driveways too. You have been warned!

TERRIBLE!!! The workers showed up on a Friday evening with out letting me know, They did a terrible job with the drain installation and had no idea how big was the wall...just lost!! I tried calling Rodney who never returned my calls or showed his face at all. Very unprofessional and to top if off...used my credit card to pay himself without my consent or not knowing if that was the card I was going to use. I'm reporting him to the Better Business Bureau.

Rodney is the Most unprofessional, keep your money and run far away!!!! We signed a contract with him for a paver job, It had the price and the total that we all agreed on and we put half down upfront. The job was almost finished when he threatened to walk off the job if we did not pay him more money. It was like we were being extorted for more money and he knew that we had to have the job finished. There is also a year warranty in his contract where he is supposed to come back and fix any issues. He won’t pick up, he won’t respond and he definitely won’t come back and honor the contract. There are lots of issues with the pavers, spacing and unevenness. These people should not be in business. They did a horrible job and have an even more horrible owner. Don’t expect good work and don’t expect them to fix a single thing.

Would NOT recommend this Company to anyone!!! The saddest part is, the initial layout & service was fine. It's the customer service part that stinks!!! Rodney (Owner) does not have the integrity to stand behind his word or his product. He gave us a verbal 90 day warranty on our plants. After 3 weeks our Driftwood roses died. Rodney was notified immediately. He asked us to send pic's which we did. After which, we sent Rodney numerous text messages asking when he intended to honor the warranty. We received only two responses, both being "we'll get there as soon as we can". Well, the 90 days have passed and our roses were never replaced. VERY disappointed in Rodney and how he represents his own company.

Terrible...worst experience all year. Rodney is unprofessional and unresponsive. The irrigation installer had no idea what he was doing. Sprinkler heads too high, no water coverage in certain zones. The sod job was the worst I’ve seen. Sod on top of grass, sod on top of sprinkler, bunched up together. No pride in workmanship.

It went very well. The estimator Brian came out very quickly and measured the lawn that I wanted replaced and gave me an estimate. He explained that he would first kill the existing weeds and bad sod with concentrated Round Up grass and weed killer. He did that and also came back a week later and sprayed the area again to be sure it was all dead. A few days later the sod crew came out and cut out and hauled away the dead material and they leveled and smoothed out the area before installing the new sod. The lawn now looks very good. Their estimate was the lowest one I got and they did excellent work in a timely manner.

Home privacy fence was installed - several months late - however, after 2 months the fence started to settle and gaps occurred between the panels. All efforts to contact Accurate Pavers & Landscaping (Apopka FL) via e-mail (accuratepaversland@yahoo.com), phone calls and phone messages were not returned. Presently I am facing Hurricane Irma and am worried about wind damage and damage to my patio fence. I have installed strapping to try and hold the fence together. I would never use Accurate Pavers & Landscaping again no matter the price.

A business's integrity is demonstrated by good work ethics and most importantly good customer service. We entered into a contract with Accurate to install pavers in our driveway and build a patio porch in the front of our house. We had several competitive offers and decided to hire Accurate primarily because the owner expressed that he really needed the work and guaranteed that we would be satisfied when they completed the job. I will not go into the intricate details of their performance, however, I seriously doubt that we will do business with Accurate ever again as well as refer them to anyone. After paying them we found mistakes with the layout of the pavers. We called and texted the owner with pictures showing the discrepancy several times and all we got in return were crickets.......no response. Because of our constant persistence of texting the owner asking him for at least a courtesy response if something or nothing would be done he finally sent a crew to correct the discrepancy.....after 30 plus days. We contacted the owner again twice and asked if he would send a crew to apply the sealant on the pavers in the area where they had corrected and we never received a response. At that point we were done. What is so baffling, before Accurate started the job we had discussed with the owner about having our pool patio replaced with pavers by his company and later informed him that we knew of at least two others that wanted driveway pavers and we would recommend his company. That's approximately $10k or more of business Accurate will not get because of very poor customer service. I've used Angie's List to find contractors that I've been very satisfied with......performance and customer service. Accurate is my first bad experience. I'm not suggesting to anyone not to do business with Accurate, just sharing my very very disappointing experience.

They came early and finished the job right away. At first I was very impressed with their work. This was the third time I hired this company. I had hired them twice before to lay some sod. However a few days later, I called Rodney since I noticed that they were some sand missing between the pavers and also the concrete padding had some breakage so I was concerned. I also called to remind them about the stump left behind. After numerous calls to Rodney and being told that he was coming but not showing up with no phone call that he was not coming, I filed a complain with the better business bureau. After issuing a complain, he called back and told me why I had issued a complain against Accurate Pavers since he was more than willing to come and pick up the stump. He was just busy and did not have a chance to stop by. He certainly had time to pick up the check right away but didn't have time after a week to either come pick up the stump or listen to my concerns on the phone since every call I placed he would tell me that he couldn't talk and that he would address any issues when he came over. As mention after issuing the complain with the better business bureau, the next day he came and picked up the stump during the day and told me that he looked over the pavers and there was nothing wrong. All i had to do was buy some sand and add it to any areas that need it. After a short few weeks later since my installation of my pavers, some of them are already cracking. I tried calling him again since I have 1 year warranty and of course no answer. So i hired another company to come and at least add sand and seal them to try protect them from any additional cracks or breakage. This is the last time I hired them.

they promptly came the same day and power washed bricks. my son-in-law happen to walk by sliding door and noticed they were power washing the mold sand etc into the pool!!! So we went out and found the pool was all mucky and brown water. took us a week to clean pool. And the filter started to run slow. so now we have to have pool filter cleaned and hopefully it isn't broken from all the sand. also i told workers they were to raise another brick a few feet from the ones raised. needless to say the guy told me that he can raise it but he has to use two screw drivers and will probably chip the bricks. I just said you are the prossional do what you think best. So he did nothing. I paid 250.00 dollars for them to raise bricks and they weren't even raised enough and one he left low so my patio area looks nearly same as when they started. Also my son-in-law watched a video and these guys missed a step. they were suppose to resand between rocks after power washing and they didn't. They washed so much sand out between the bricks it just looks terrible. Don't hire these guys they take your money and make excuses why they can't do the job after the fact.
Description of Work: Rodney came and gave me estimate to power wash and seal brick patio around pool area cost 545.10.. also raise some sinking patio bricks for another 250.00.

As I have read in many of these reviews Rodney was very responsive with a same day call back from my initial call. He met with me at our scheduled time and to my surprise when I arrived back home that evening all of the work had been completed! Unfortunately the only issue was that when they replaced a large diseased tree, the heavy equipment that they used cracked and raised up the concrete border on our plant bed. I had to make 2 calls and send an email just to get a response. He was very kind and indicated they would repair but a week has gone by and I have not heard anything. I will continue to pursue with them. 6/10 - update...After many emails and phone calls and three months later my damages still have not bee repaired. Im lowering their rating as they clearly care more about the sale than service afterwards. Given the number of similar complaints on here I would recommend finding another service with better follow up after the sale. Very disappointed and will seek alternate methods to get the repair taken care of.

Accurate Pavers was very prompt with proposals and revisions and with starting and finishing the job. Lots of advice and ideas were discussed with the owner, Rodney, as we explored options, prices and the pros and cons of alternative products. Rodney made sure we understood which product we were selecting by sending us to see installed exterior samples of concrete and brick paves at two different local paver supplier sites. Accurate Pavers quoted us the lowest proposal of the four contractors we requested to give us quotes. The total proposal price was $13,535.00. HIs proposal was several thousand dollars less than the other proposals and he was able to provide the sod, fill and irrigation required where others would not do so. Rodney quickly provided the list of at least 5 references we requested and most of them responded promptly to our telephone inquiries. We spoke with four references. Rodney accepted full responsibility for the job, including acquisition of a building permit from Windermere and fulfilling any other required governmental permits as part of the contract. We obtained permission from our HOA once the brick was selected. We asked that rebar be added to the stabilizing concrete along the edges of the new driveway and Rodney provided it at no charge. We offered 50% of the cost of the brick as our first payment upon signing the contract in order for him to start the job. Rodney required that we pay 100% of the cost of the brick before he would order it. The work started very quickly because the brick we chose was available locally. As soon as the brick was delivered to the site (a few days later), the 3-man crew arrived promptly and worked very hard for a long day to remove the concrete. Rodney came to the site the next morning to supervise the layout of the crushed concrete base and to ensure that the new course of the driveway and sidewalk would meet our needs. In the meantime, truck loads of fill dirt were delivered to bring the eliminated circular portion of the driveway up to grade and sod was installed. The sod was in very good condition and laid nicely. Since the concrete was thicker (about 5 inches) than Rodney had anticipated, additional fill was required. He gave us a fair price for the additional fill and we agreed to the increased price. All of the crew on the project were responsive and willing to discuss any concerns that we had as the job progressed. They did a great job laying the bricks in a 45-degree herringbone pattern with a border along the edges. They contacted Rodney by cell phone when issues arose that they could not handle. The irrigation controller installation by Rodney's subcontractor went smoothly. Coordination and work stalled when it became apparent that Rodney did not estimate the amount of brick for the project correctly. About twice as much brick was needed as was delivered. Rodney apologized for his error and asked that we pay for the additional brick and he would not charge for the additional delivery fee and installation labor. We agreed to compromise with him and that explains most of the price increase from $13,535 to about $16,500. A minor problem occured when the front-end loader broke a protective plastic pipe conduit around an irrigation line that had been laid under the original driveway and was exposed upon removal of the concrete. Rodney promised that it would be replaced by his irrigation team but they did not arrive before the paving crew paved over the pipe. It is not likely to cause a problem in future and there was no crack in the water line itself or a leak so we let it go. We have a two year warrantee on the installation to cover any problems that may occur. Cleanup of the site was satisfactory. Overall, the project went smoothly and was started and completed very quickly. It was started with the tearout on April 17th and completed on April 24th. The resulting driveway, sidewalk, sod and irrigation controller are very nice and have more than met our expectations. We have not had any problems with the products or the installation. It's a pleasure to see these improvements to our home every day.
Description of Work: Replaced a large circular concrete driveway, parking area and sidewalk with about 2,900 SF clay brick pavers laid over 32 YD crushed concrete plus 1600 SF sod. Project included concrete tear out and 18+ YD fill dirt, restoration of any damaged irrigation system, installation of a new electronic irrigation timer and clean up.

When initially contracting for services, the provider was exceptionally responsive to calls and completing the work. He offered a guarantee that if I followed up with a green service, any sod that did not root properly would be replaced. The challenges I had with his company began after the job was completed when the new sod did not successfully root in many areas of the lawn. I would categorize my challenges as: 1. Lack of attention to quality and detail during installation 2. Exceptionally poor customer service According to both the green service I hired, the lawn service and an external expert, my sod was not rooting because of two things -those who put in my lawn cut lines into the sprinkler systems which caused the system to not work properly although I had paid extra to get the sprinkler system to work and because old sod was not removed properly and new sod was put on top. My biggest problem with this company is when I tried to call to get my situation resolved. As soon as I became aware of the problems with the sprinklers, I contacted the owner who neither took my calls or returned them. After about a month of calling, he finally answered my call and told me that the sprinkler company would call me. When I tried to explain that about the cuts in the sprinkler line, he would not consider it and tried to get me off the phone as soon as possible. I never heard from the sprinkler company and had to find another vendor to fix my sprinkler system at my own additional cost. When the sod continued to die because of how it was put down, I called and called and did not get a response. Finally I asked my neighbor who also used this company to reach out and his call was answered immediately. The sprinkler contractor did finally come out. The owner promised he would come out and check out my situation but he never did. I started calling again and there was no taking of my calls or returning of my calls. Finally, after reminding him of our shared relationship on Angie's List, did I get a return call and in that call he yelled at me for threatening him. Finally, he did come out and replace a small section with leftover sod from another job which of course did not root. The owner's unprofessional behavior has put me at a loss at how to proceed.
Description of Work: Provider was contracted to replace sod in entire lawn, plant new foliage, trim trees and ensure sprinklers were optimized.

The sales man that came out Steve was very nice , I explained what I wanted done(sand based sod) and also the fence work as well ,since my side fence was old and I wanted it to have it replaced. I spoke to Rodney only to discuss the initial payment and scheduling after that it was communication with Steve via phone and text as well. They cleared the old sod, spraying to kill the old grass etc.. then a big truck and came and dropped off a truck load of sod. The subcontractors installed the sod fairly quickly within a couple of hours while I was at work. When I got home there were 5 pallets of sod left over, which I had to call Steve and remind them to pick up the remainder sod. Then they scheduled to have the fence installed, which involved removing the old picket fence and installing the new fence in the same spot..The guys that came out (subcontractors) had the vinyl fence and the equipment to install it as well. They used my exterior power outlet, which was shorted for some reason while they were using it.. I came home for lunch and noticed the guys getting close to completion minus a door for the fence. I asked them where was the door? They advised me that Rodney did not tell them about the door, so they had to call around to a local fence shop here in Sanford to purchase the door kit. I said fine, just as long as the door was installed. They installed the fence and everything looked great, but soon there after I received a call from Steve who stated that they received a call from the city of Lake Mary regarding the placement of my fence and the fact that Rodney assumed the permit went through. Steve states that Rodney received an email from the city of Lake Mary and assumed everything was ok and approved from the city. If he would have opened the email and read it he would have realized that the city denied the privacy fence placement because of some city ordinance. The city wanted the fence along the property line, I told Steve to tell Rodney to take care of it (moving the fence along the home property line) since he was supposed to handle the permits etc.. Steve gets back to me and states that Rodney wanted an additional $500.00 to move the fence where it was supposed to go. I told Steve if the fence was moved , there will be a patch of weeds where the fence was covering the view from my back yard, I wanted the strip of sod as well, since I paid for a full truck load of sod that was recently removed. I contacted the city regarding my issue with the company ,and they were fined by the city until the issue could be resolved. Then Randy finally contacted me and was really rude telling me that he was not going to pay for anything or taking a loss on this job and also still offered to move the fence when ever he wanted with out still going through the permitting process as outlined by the city..I had advised him I would like to be there when the fence was going to be moved,(since I don't trust him or his company) he stated he is very busy for the next couple of months and would not the fence.Long story short the fence is still illegally placed and the city is aware of the ongoing issue..

The paver crew did a great job. They knew what they were doing. They designed the paths and walkways better than I had imagined. On the other hand, a different crew, the irrigation crew was...I don't know how else to say it...but really stupid!! The poor salesman explained to them several times what to do and they kept doing it wrong several times over the course of three days. In the end, the paver crew had to fix all the irrigation and re-do the French drain and they were not to happy about it. I would say my experience with Accurate Pavers was good, I wouldn't say great. The price was reasonable and in the end the pavers turned out nice.

My experience with Rodney Johnson was a good one. He was friendly and responsive to my request at the beginning. He was very flexible with my changes. The workmen that came for each portion of the job were extremely hardworking. I did have to stay on top of the various jobs and pay close attention. For example, I noticed that the cleaned and sealed pavers did not have any sheen to them. I had them re-sealed for an extra cost. I discovered the paving crew had cut out a four foot section of my drain tile, but never told me. I also later discovered my sprinkler system had been cut, but I was never informed about it. The pavers themselves looked great! Only one 7and quot; x 8and quot; place where they concreted around a drain that I saw as an ankle breaking potential. I will never again be able to access this drain. I was short changed on the mulch job, because when they came to deliver it, I had another workmen putting down curbing from a different company. SInce the curbing was wet, they removed the sod, but did not leave the majority of the mulch I paid for. It was only because I personally took out 4 bags of mulch that they left in a wheel barrow in me neighbor's yard, that I had any to lay down. I did inform Rodney about this. There are two things that I am really saddened by. 1) Rodney never saw it as important to stop by to check on the workmanship of his crew and to make sure his customer was happy with the job. 2) Rodney has not responded to my phone call to correct one of the gates that is resting on top of the pavers with little room to spare. All in all, I was pleased with the workmanship and the outcome. I would love to give Accurate Pavers an and quot;Aand quot; rating, but cannot at this time.
Description of Work: The provider gave me a bid for 1) Cleaning and Sealing Driveway Pavers 2) Install of a fence and two gates 3) Pavers 4) Removal of sod and replacement with 3" of mulch

Crew arrived on time and worked quickly. I had requested that they clear the lumps of old sod out of the new planting beds. They said they did, but subsequently I determined they did not. Curb guy did not show up or call. Accurate sent another guy when I complained - he did a good job.
Description of Work: installed sod and curbing

Unfortunately I was not able to use their services. They left me a written quote which I felt was very reasonable and I called back to schedule. I was told that the quote was below their minimum fee and they couldnt honor it. I was quite surprised that they would not honor a quote they provided - not good business! Even if it was a mistake, it was unprofessional. I was looking forward to using their service as their responsiveness was excellent. A bit ironic given their name....
Description of Work: I requested a quote to pressure wash and seal paversand they came out the same day.

The crew service was great. They were here when they said they would be and completed the job in 3 days (tearing up concrete, hauling it away, laying sand base, laying pavers and sealing). However, during the laying of pavers, they covered over one of the sprinkler heads. This was not noticed until several days later. We were unable to use the sprinkler system because the water was coming out of the covered head and washing away the sand under the pavers. The office was called several times to remove the pavers and to move the sprinkler head. They always said that it would be taken care of, but they never came. We had to hire someone else to finish the job.
Description of Work: Removed damaged concrete driveway and replaced it with pavers.
