Made the appointment in the morning and the new water heater we purchased from them was installed by 6:00 that same evening. The old one was taken away. The installer was personable and professional and we would not hesitate to use them again should the need arise.

Well. Efficient, informative and polite.

Everything seemed fine until a few days ago when I noticed a leak by the toilet. First, the quote I received stated a 2 year warranty on labor but when the plumber showed up he told me it was only for 1 year. I had to show him the receipt before he called the owner at which point he was authorized to proceed with the repair. There were 2 leaks that needed to be addressed hence the reason for the poor quality rating. The plumber tore down the area of sheet rock where the pipes were leaking and fixed the leak. But 2nd, the owner did not authorize the drywall to be replaced. I called him up to discuss the drywall situation. He acknowledged that it would cost him approximately $75 - $100 but that it was not covered under the warranty and that I would have to pay for it. The sheet rock was damaged due to the leak caused by the work they did and the materials they used. I expressed to the owner that it is better to get a few referrals and be considered for future work than to leave a client with a hole in the wall in order to save $75 and he arrogantly responded with a retort as if loosing one or two customers would not affect him. He also stated that he's responsible for the plumbing and not the drywall but when they installed the new plumbing, they replaced all the drywall. It was part of the scope of the work. Now that this is a warranty repair, the drywall is no concern of his and decides to leave the hole in the wall just to save a few dollars. I expressed to the owner that given he would not replace the drywall they cut open to expose the plumbing, I would never consider A1 Plumbing for any future work and that I would never recommend them to anyone. His response was one of someone who couldn't care less. It's funny how upfront everyone plays nice but when it comes to situations like mine, you get a finger...

Owner (Mike) came out to determine what exactly needed to be done. He explained everything very concisely and clearly. Two days later three guys came out and spent all day getting the job done. *Not* an easy task, as they had to crawl through a very narrow attic. It was amazing to see how they got the lines where they needed to go. They also installed a new water heater and service line. Two days later their drywall guys came out to patch up the holes. Thoroughly impressed with the quality work and professionalism of this company.

We contacted A1 Svc Plumbing for estimates on re- piping our home since we had a huge leak coming from underneath our garage floor. Mike came by to provide the estimate. Not only did he give us the best price for the job compared to the other estimates we had, but he was friendly, professional and explained the steps of what the job would entail patiently and answered all questions asked. The day of the job, the staff were all professional, and did a magnificent job and cleaned up all debris left as a result. All phases from the re pipe to drywall process were great. The level of service was what made us choose A-1 Service, and they were also well recommended to us as well by another provider. We were happy with the job and the service throughout the entire process. Thank you for giving us peace of mind and such great customer satisfaction.

The owner Mike met with me first to inspect the house answer questions and provide a quote. He was very helpful and discussed options with me which I appreciated. The plumbers doing the repipe called to confirm when they were on their way and maintained excellent communication with me throughout the two day process. They were so clean they used drop cloths and seemed to be extremely careful with our vanities and other furnishings in e rooms where they re piped. Their work was absolutely beautiful - the original plumbing was from 1978 and the new piping installed was PEX. The new hose bibs outside looked fabulous as did the new water line for the refrigerator. I like to be informed about what's happening with my house and I also like to learn, so I ask a lot of questions of contractors. These guys were full of information and never seemed to be annoyed with my curiosity. They also went above and beyond notifying me of issues that had come up and offering to help. For example, when they installed the new kitchen lines, the faucet started leaking. I went and bought a new one and they easily installed it for me the next day. I have three easily excitable dogs in the house too, and the plumbers were so patient with them, which I also really appreciated. The only downside of the work was the drywall company that A1 subcontracts out to do the drywall repair. As clean and neat as the plumbers were, I expected to have the same treatment with the drywall repair person. But they didn't use any drop cloths, nor did they clean up thoroughly. Overspray of the texture entered my closet and got on my suits. I understand I'd need to clean up a little after work. But I was having to scrape drywall plaster out of my grout lines and wiping splatter off of my vanity and other bathroom fixtures. I would still use A1 again... I would just prepare more in advance if drywall repair was a part of the package.

They used an electrical cable to snake out the pile of gunk that was causing the toilets and sinks to backup. They showed up 30 minutes after we called and took about 45 minutes to resolve the problem. The tech was very polite.

This is the second time that we have used A1 Service Plumbing. Their rates are very competitive - almost half of what some other plumbers had quoted for similar job. Easy to set appointments. Crew is punctual and professional - workmanship is satisfactory as both problems were fixed and we never had same problem again.

It went smoothly. They hooked into the pipes with no problem.

You pick up the phone and they come and take care of the problem quickly. They have been very good about taking care of my plumbing needs at my home.

There was a little problem because I live out of town and needed them to take a credit card over the phone, that was against their policy. We were able to work everything out. Overall, I was very impressed with them. The owner was very courteous and straight forward.

They gave me one price for the kitchen, but charged me more. They had to come back after the work since the hose was installed improper in the kitchen. There were leaks through the kitchen. The garbage disposal was the only thing done correctly. The repair in the bathroom was not fixed, it was still leaking. They also scratched and chipped my tub and refused to repair the damage. I had to have a second plumbing company come out to repair their work.

The technician was there on time and worked professionally the whole time. There was one part that he didn't have on the truck and another employee delivered it so that he wouldn't loose time. While they were there I had them complete some additional odd jobs that I had been wanting to get around to doing myself. Having the right tools and the experience pays off. I was glad that I paid to have one of the valves replaced vs. doing it myself after watching the difficulty that the technician had. The only down side of the experience was that I thought that the price of the additional work that they did was a little high but I should have negotiated prior to telling them to do it.

Great communication via telephone. Installer arrived when expected. All work was done satisfactory and unit is working great. No mess was left in the garage. Very polite installer, and he answered all my questions and advised me on how to care for the unit. Very professional. Would use again.

A-1 was contacted in the morning and able to send a plumber within an hour and a half. We had purchased the water heater at Lowe's and just needed it installed. Because the dimensions were different than the previous unit, adjustments had to be made to have piping and wiring reach the unit. Tony was very polite and showed me each time there was an additional fixture or part needed and told me how much it would cost. There had been an original estimate given of about $200 for the installation. I was not surprised that there were additional charges because we had not purchased any installation kit or extra parts for the unit installation. The parts needed made sense and I did not have a problem with the additions to the bill. He seems to have done a pretty good job. It took about 3 hours. He removed and hauled away the old water heater. He did not totally clean up, but did most of it, and had dripped some rusty water on our carpet when removing the old water heater.

Gave a minus to the "overall service experience" grade of A, because A-1 team did not begin workday until 10am, and appeared to be undermanned somewhat (1 man?). But team did stay until 10pm to finish work, so I will concede that my minus may be too harsh. Overall, very nice people to work with.

THEY GOT OUT HERE ON TIME. THEY PERFORMED THE WORK IN A GOOD TIME AS WELL. THEY HAD THE EQUIPMENT WITH THEM THAT THEY NEEDED. THEY DIDN'T HAVE TO LEAVE AND COME BACK TO FINISH THE JOB.
