It was a perfect experience. When Perry first estimated the work, the limb was still attached to the tree and hanging precariously into the yard. After the estimate--but before the work was performed--the limb fell. When Perry and his crew showed up, he reduced the estimate by $200. I thought that was very cool. These guys are really good. In half an hour the limb was gone...completely gone. The crew cleaned up everything. First rate. Call this service. You won't be disappointed.

Back in 2007, I learned of Word of Mouth Tree Svc. (WOMTS) through seeing their trucks multiple times throughout my neighborhood and asked Perry, the owner, to provide a tree trimming estimate. My family and I found Perry very knowledgeable, personable, & professional and, though his tree trimming bid was not chosen back then, we felt WOMT would be among the considered for any future tree work we do. Last week, a storm downed one of my neighbor's oak trees -- thankfully across my backyard rather than on our homes or pool enclosure. I got estimates to remove the downed tree from five tree service providers, including WOMTS. By the fourth estimate, my wife and I were leaning towards WOMTS based on Perry's knowledge, timing, and price -- but it was the fifth "estimate" that sealed our decision. For the fifth estimate, I tried to have Angie's List's highest rated tree service provider in the area, Sunbelt Tree Service, come out; however, workload kept Paul, that co's owner, from coming out on the days he had planned. Feeling bad that he could not come out as planned & knowing this work needed to be done ASAP, Paul wanted to help me make the best choice for a provider. Though he knew he was putting himself in a position to lose potential business, Paul asked me who the other bidding companies were & offered an actual objective opinion on their service and approximate price ranges. [Note: I say "objective" because his input matched my findings via BBB, word-of-mouth, and past references.] Of the four companies, Paul spoke highly of Perry's tree acumen and said that WOMT's quality of work is "top-notch" and felt that if we went with WOMT, they would do a comparable -- if not better -- job as Sunbelt for this job. When your competitors are singing your praises, you must be doing something right! That night, we let Perry know that WOMT was selected and he scheduled us promptly for next business day service. Perry and his team of three were on-time and did their work with purpose and no nonsense. The methods they used to haul the logs/debris was extremely lawn-friendly -- esp. in comparison to a past tree service provider who used a bob-cat that left tracks in the lawn that took two-years to return to normal. Midway through the job, I asked Perry to do some additional work in trimming another tree that had gotten damaged by the fallen tree. Perry's team did so and at a fair price. Both my neighbor and I were pleased with the results and would not hesitate to do business again with Perry and his team.

We got off to a bit of a shaky start. Initially I called to make an appt for a estimate for some tree trimming work. Perry, the owner, set up an appt for the following day but did not show or call. After the appt time had passed I called and left a message. Within 15 minutes he called me, very apologetic for missing our appt and explained that his crew had been busy cleaning up damage from severe weather the night before. He kept the next appt and gave me an estimate for $450.00 . After checking 2 other companies I decided that his was the best deal so I called on Monday and he told me he could probably put me on the schedule for Thur or Fri and that he would call the day before to confirm. On Friday, since I had not heard anything, I called and left a message. He returned my call within 1/2 hour and was once again very apologetic for not getting back to me sooner explaining that the weather had pushed his schedule back. We settled on the following Wednesday. On Wednesday, Perry and a crew of 3 arrived right on time and he reviewed the job with me before beginning the work. They all had hard hats, safety sunglasses and bright orange shirts which made me feel comfortable that they were very conscientious about safety. They were extremely fast and efficient. They trimmed 4 oak trees and 2 palms (one of which was over 20 ft tall). They also removed part of a neighbor's tree which was overhanging my fence. They picked up all the debris and blew the driveway and walkway clean. There was only a handful of twigs to pick up after they had gone. Perry stayed on site until the job was finished. The whole job took about 1 1/2 hours. He was very cooperative about going over a couple of areas until I was completely satisfied. Perry was kind enough to replace some blown out bulbs in the entry, fighting off some wasps to do so. Except for the miscommunication at the beginning, I was very satisfied with the rest of the transaction and the results.

Perry came out to give an estimate for all the work. I contacted him to accept the proposal and he and his crew came out within a few days to perform the work. They were running a little behind schedule, but they stopped by to tell me that, which is always appreciated. They are very professional, they work quickly and efficiently. The trees look great because they take care to leave them with a nice shape after trimming. They also clean up everything extremely well. This is the second time we've hired them, and we'll use them again.

I would definitely go back to them for any of my tree removal needs.I got my subscription fees back in a sense through this particular transaction.

We miscommunicated on the time to meet, but they'd done work for me before and gave me an over the phone estimate which I accepted. He thought they'd maybe call me the next week some night to say they'd be there the next day, but it was the week after that when they called one morning and said they could do the trimming that afternoon, which was fine with me. They arrived and got right to work. A crew of 4 or 5, one sawing, the others hauling away. They had a chipper shredder with them, they did a beautiful job of trimming my tree. I asked them to be aggressive and they were. They took a lot of which I loved. They cleaned up and hardly left a trace that they'd been here. The trimming made a world of difference. I'd had them do the same thing three years ago for the same price with the same good results. I'd highly recommend them.

Perry came by to look at the trees and talk about what we wanted to do and why. He made recommendations and then did exactly what we agreed to for the price he estimated. He and his crew worked quickly and efficiently and cleaned up and hauled off the debri.

They were wonderful! Very professional, fast response time, and very concerned about doing the job correctly and not disturbing any cables that were near the house.

Mr. Tollman provided a very competitive price for trimming two trees in my front yard. He said he would commence work the following week. He did not show up, and did not call. After calling numerous times I was able to reach him and he said he would be out the following week. Again, no show, no phone call, and no response to two voice mails. I have subsequently hired another tree service.

Very careful not to damage landscaping or surroundings. Came on time and left yard cleaned up.

Mr. Tollman called and asked if he could arrive earlier than our appointed time. He inspected the tree we wanted removed and recommended another company to do the job. He was very professional from the first contact.

Perry arrived right on time and his crew was top notch. He patiently followed my instructions as to how I wanted the trees trimmed in the front of the house, but I did not have to worry as he knew exactly what to do. He even trimmed some excess off the front of one of the trees, which was not in the original quote. His equipment was state of the art and when they were finished, they cleaned everything up. I was impressed and will definitely call him again. This is a top notch company with the customer in mind.

Job went very well. He showed up at 8 am as agreed with 5 other workers and they were finished by 10:15 am. Easy to work with. Equipment worked well and appeared to be well maintained. Everyone worked together like a well-oiled machine. All communication was verbal, no written contract was ever offered to be signed.

He showed up on time and he was very polite and neat. He cleaned up after himself well. His prices are very good. I would use him and again.

This is my second report for this company. As they did the first time, They showed up on time with plenty of men to rapidly complete the work. Their equipment is first-rate. They ground up the tree, ground the stump and left the property appearing as if they had not been there. Absolutely a Grade A company!

Mike started providing this service for me last year, but he has helped me in various areas of landscaping knowledge. Very dependable and excellent service as it can see the results in healthier lawns and shrubs compared to the other larger company services. His ability to evaluate and adjust the fertilization or treatment are the features which were lacking in the past. We are quite pleased with the nicer appearance and his dependable every other month visits make it worry-free. I will continue to use this company.

Perry contacted me promptly when I called for an estimate. He arrived on time, calling ahead to let me know exactly when he'd be there. Work was scheduled within a week. He had a crew of 4 or 5, and they were fast but did an excellent job. They cleaned up all the debris afterward. They arrived later than scheduled to do the work, but Perry called to let me know that the job before mine had taken longer than planned. They were only a little over an hour late, and I appreciated the fact that he called to let me know.

From the first telephone call, Perry was a professional and a gentleman. He arrived for the estimate on time and identified all aspects of the anticipated work to be done. As the tree was struck by lightning several years ago, there was a severely damaged and rotten area about two thirds the way up. We were not able to determine whether the entire tree would have to be removed but I received an estimate for saving the tree and an estimate for removing it, if necessary. Both estimates were extremely fair and more than reasonable. (I had checked with non-Angie's List companies to confirm the reasonableness factor though I had no plan to use them.) We created a tentative schedule for the work which I revised for my own reasons. I called Perry when I was ready to schedule. He called back the next day and we scheduled the work to begin today at 8:30am. Perry was here about 8:10 with his crew and equipment ready. The roped the pieces down very carefully and did not even damage the smallest of plants under the tree. The whole operation was very efficient and the team worked very well under his instruction (of course he was working, too.). The cleanup was smooth and comprehensive. I asked them to collect several piles of branches in the front and back yards for which I paid in addition to the initial estimate.

The project went very smoothly. Perry came out and estimated the job on a Friday afternoon, and we got on his schedule for the following Friday. Perry and his crew came on-time, did everything they said they would, and hauled away all the debris. They did an excellent job of clean-up (you wouldn't have been able to tell that our trees were trimmed today). Also, Perry was very good about explaining to us what he was going to do and checking with us before making major cuts. One surprise: The Sanford arborist came by while the crew was working, and informed us that since a couple of the trees being trimmed were on the street easement, we were supposed to get a permit from the city even just to trim them. I was quite surprised by this. FYI...

Excellent overall. Approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes from arrival to clean up. Preparation and actual trimming was carefully handled to avoid cutting off too much early, recommended me from his experience and knowledge but Perry has never pushed me to do anything I do not wish. Cleaning was really excellent. I have seen the yard and street in our community after some other company finished with trimming, but, you would never know that my trees were trimmed today. It was really a pleasant experience.

Perry came out and looked over the trees I had concerns about shortly after I called him. He gave me a really good price, the lowest of 3 quotes, and told me about how his equipment is Eco-friendly and wouldn't damage my property since the trees were in the backyard and down a small hill. He was very professional, courteous and listened to what I said. He and his crew came back the day after I called and told him he had the job. They were right on time and worked really hard, climbing the tall trees and carefully removing the branches and then working down from there. They take safety classes on tree climbing, which is great because those trees were really tall. I worried about another tree, but Perry said it was good and strong and did not need to be removed, so he is very honest and helpful. There was a LOT of debris to remove and they ground it all up at the street and cleaned up everywhere before they left. Excellent job! No pressure and very honest and helpful.

Perry and his team a great job. They took approximately 45 minutes to cut down and remove the tree and grind two stumps. They cleaned and swept the area when they were finished.

I can hardly express our satisfaction with Word of Mouth. Their price was very competitive, They were prompt to respond by phone. Called to reschedule a date to do the work then showed up on time. The project was to remove a tree that was approx. 30 feet tall. A crew of six showed up and they had the latest and greatest equipment. The job was done quickly and with a minimum of fuss. They cleaned up the area and left it looking great. I recommended them to a friend and they did a great job for him, as well. I wish all contractors were this good.
