+ -1 moreAfter getting a mis diagnosed quote of $1000 from 4 Seasons , I called Rich who had been reffered by a friend. He properly diagnosed and fixed the problem and saved me a lot of money. My AC is working well. I highly recommend Rich. He knows what he is doing and won’t rip you off !!!!!

+ -1 moreHe inspected my A/C unit and recommended that it be replaced. We'd had it worked on multiple times already and it was just time to let it go. I don't think I'll ever use another A/C maintenance service again as long as I live here because he was polite, on time, and got it done fast.

+ -1 moreGREAT CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE This was our first experience with Rich. He found a small problem and fixed it at no additional charge (unlike what our previous A/C company would have done). He also spent time to discuss our system with us and our maintenance of the system/filters. There was absolutely no suggestions of anything else that would cost us (also, unlike our previous company). He seemed very interested in doing a good, honest job for us and developing a long-term relationship.

Description of Work: I HAVE A 2400 SQ. FT HOUSE WITH A VERY OLD CHEAP JANITROL AIR CONDITIONER FROM THE PREVIOUS OWNERS. MY ELECTRIC BILLS FROM MAY TO JULY WENT FROM $500/MONTH TO $750/MONTH. THATS WHEN I DECIDED I NEEDED A NEW AIR CONDITIONER. AFTER A MONTH WITH THE NEW AIR CONDITIONER MY AUGUST ELECTRIC BILL WAS ONLY $250. I SAVED 500. I DID A LOT OF RESEARCH ON TYPES OF AIR CONDITIONERS. I GOT 5 ESTIMATES. RICH WAS RECOMMENDED BY A FRIEND. HE HAD THE BEST PRICE. I GOT A BRYANT PREFERRED SERIES, DUAL SPEED, 16 SEER HIGH EFFECIENCY, 4 TON, WITH DEHUMIDIFIER. THE MOST EXPENSIVE BRAND IS LENNOX, THE ESTIMATE WAS $9000.00. THE BRAND IS NOT SO IMPORTANT. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS THE INSTALLER. YOU CAN BUY AN EXPENSIVE BRAND AND HAVE A BAD TECHNICIAN AND YOUR UNIT WON'T WORK PROPERLY. RICH IS A ONE MAN COMPANY. HE DOES ALL HIS OWN WORK. HE GIVES YOU THE ESTIMATE AND DOES THE INSTALLATION. HE IS METICULOUS AND FAST. HE IS CERTIFIED AND EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGABLE. HE IS NO FRILLS, BUT THAT IS WHERE ALL THE SAVINGS COMES IN. ALL THE OTHER ESTIMATES CAME FROM BIG COMPANIES AROUND TOWN. DON'T LET RICH'S RETIRED ROCKER LOOK FOOL YOU. HE KNOWS WHAT HE IS TALKING ABOUT AND WHAT HE IS DOING. THE AIR CONDITIONERS HE INSTALLS IS MADE BY CARRIER, BUT UNDER THE BRYANT LABEL.

+ -1 moreHe did a regular preventative maintenance on one of the units because it was a duplex. He also fixed some problems with leaks in some other units. He has done service at our other properties too. He is fair, on time, and does good work. He only charged me for the preventative maintenance, and not for the other repair.
Description of Work: We used Rich Vanderwerken's Air Conditioning, Inc. to replace the whole system, from straight cool to a heat pump.
