Description of Work: I purchased 4 used appliances for a condo I lease. Items were purchased 02/04/2012. I also purchased Extended Warranties. The tenant reported that the refrigerator was not cold and the freezer was not cold. The initial service call was about the beginning of April. The service contract was for repairs and labor for the first 3 months. If the appliance could not be repaired it would be replaced with a comparable unit. The refrigerator was repaired and returned to the tenant in approximately 10 days. The refrigerator worked for about 2 1/2 weeks. Once again I called the service department to report this. I paid $75.00 for the pick-up of the refrigerator the first time. For the call back I refused to pay a pick-up charge again, because I felt this was a call-back for the original service. However the service department refused to pick the refrigerator up unless I paid in advance with a credit card at a cost of $85.00. Since I didn't have much choice I had the refrigerator picked up for repair. It was returned again in about 10 days, but it only worked for about another 2 weeks. This time I requested that they swap the refrigerator for a comparable one, as is stated in the service contract. After much hagling back and forth they replaced the refrigerator. The tenant was very disappointed with the replacement unit, since the unit I purchased was a side by door, with ice cubes and water accessable from the outside on the door, and it was 15 cu. ft. The replacement was much smaller with a dent on the outside and only had one inside shelf. Certainly not a comparable unit. When I called to request another replacement since I didn't consider this a fair swap again I called a number of times to try to persuade them to be fair. I advised them that one of the other appliances which I purchased from them had stopped working, the micro wave. I tried to reason with them for fair refrigerator replacement and that I would accept the total loss for the micro wave, but I was given all kinds of excuses for why this was not possible. Since I've heard much about Angie's List I felt this might be worth exploring for help. I wouldn't want any other unsuspecting people to purchase any appliances from Appliance Outlet and have the unfortunate experiences I've had.
