The workers drove a forklift onto our yard breaking the backflow box and cover. Also, they left chips and pieces of pavers in our yard and bed. I called and emailed the owner and never received a response. Our neighbor tried to get him to response. A Better Paver did clean up most of the debris, but never replaced the box!
Description of Work: A Better Paver was work at our neighbor's installing pavers in the backyard.

I’m not completely happy with the end result. The waterfall is already leaking and I want them to come back out. I’ve been trying to get him to come back out for about 4 months! They were very responsive and cordial when we first started, but now that there's a problem, they're not responding. Now I'm not so sure if I'd use them again.
Description of Work: We had him do some paving and install a brick waterfall and fire pit.

A would not hesitate to recommend this company. There attention to detail & getting it right is hard to find these days. They re-laid the pavers several times because the color was not right or it was not level. They replaced the lights in the water fall three times to get it correct and to make us happy. They did all of this in a timely manner. They also went to extra distance providing us service to satisfy us without arguments. Mike is a very professional person who wants to get the job right. They may not be the cheapest on the surface, but you get what you pay for. Their waterfall is unmatched by any other company!!

Looked like a hurricane came through my property. Had a slew of workers on 6/26/13 pave the walkway all in one day, with no regard to my property. I have a four car driveway, 2 wide, 2 deep, and they never used it as a work space. They had all their tools on the lawn and did all their cutting on the lawn, and washed all the cement and cleaned their tools on my lawn. (I was at work and my neighbors informed me when I got home.) This day long stress of workers tools and chemicals/cement, killed my front lawn. When I got home, I arrived to complete mess. They did not clean up after themselves; left all the mess and said they were done. Took a couple of phone calls to the company and having the sales rep stop by (two days later) to see for himself, as the company was saying they were done. After sales rep came by, someone came back and cleaned up mess. The company who cuts my lawn came the following week and asked me what happened to my yard. (My grass was in wonderful shape.) After this company (A Better Paver) had put in the walkway, my grass was stressed and dying. I have pictures the company took when they gave me the estimate, and pics after they finished and you can see the difference in the grass. The company who sprays my yard for insects and weeds also called me two weeks after and said what happened to my yard, as they were just there prior to the pavers. The lawn care company said they went into emergency recovery mode to try to bring the grass back. Both my yard guy and lawn care company recommended re-sodding; however, stating you cannot re-sod during the heat of summer. Have to wait until mid-Sept. They also said the paver company needed to clean up all the excess gravel and cement that was extended too far out along the pavers. Week of July 4th, paver company came back to seal the walkway and collect other half of payment. I was on vacation and when I returned I called the owner (Alex de la Hoz) to talk about killing my grass, and that the other half of the payment would not be made until I recovered my grass. And if I had to re-sod and clean up the excess cement/gravel, this would be deducted from payment. He said he had stopped by to see my grass and did not kill it. I asked him to stop over the night of 7/9/13. He said he would be there at 6:00 pm, but never showed. That same day on the phone, he threatened to come over and "rip out the pavers" if I didn't pay the other half due. I said we can work this out, he said no we can't. I've been waiting for the weather to cool so I can re-sod, as my grass has not recovered. I left his A Better Paver yard sign in my yard this entire time, because this issue was unresolved. Today is 9/2/13 I awoke to find the A Better Paver yard sign gone and bright yellow marker (construction) paint sprayed all over "half" of the paver walkway. Police were called and complaints filed. On another note, I found out today that this company is not licensed. Not sure how they do larger jobs. They must work with a local (licensed) pool enclosure company to do these jobs.
