The provider gave us an hourly rate for the work to be performed. He told us the date and time when he would perform the services, and he came to our home exactly on the date and time agreed upon. We were very happy with the work that he did, and the professional way that he conducted himself during our initial meeting and while performing the work. I would highly recommend Top Notch Home Improvement to anyone considering hiring a handyman. We would also use the company again if and when we needed any additional work to be done.

I wasn't going to post a review for this company but when I read the other posters comment about him not wanting to do work I thought I might as well share my experience too. I called 2x because I needed drywall and painting done. He told me he was a one man crew and could not do the work I needed done. Umm, it does say you do drywall and paint?! He did act like I was asking him to rebuild Rome and he couldn't be bothered. I only contacted him because it seemed he had great reviews but I guess he's too rich and famous now to work for us little people! Perhaps he should remove himself from angies list?

He followed up in a very timely fashion, I was really impressed. He was one of the few service providers that followed up so quickly. He was able to meet my timeline and come out the very next day to take care of a caulking project for my bathtub. He did charge me extra since it was short notice and since the work was done on a Saturday. He was very friendly and very nice. He showed up on time and did an excellent job.

I found Pete Lindberg here on Angie's List and made an appointment with him at my residence to discuss three projects we needed help with. The first was a new door and frame on our side entrance. It has some rotted wood and needs replacement. The second was new columns for our front porch. Similarly to our side door, there was some rotted wood and they need replacement. The third was a moving our HVAC return to a new location. Pete was very professional, met at my home on time for our appointment, and provided sound advice for the three problems we have. It turned out that the work was out of his scope so we wound up not hiring him for these projects, but given the demonstration of his knowledge on these matters and his professionalism, I would not hesitate to hire him in the future.

Because my garbage disposal was leaking, I assumed that I would need to have a new one installed. I called Pete and after examining it, he told me that it was an original installation problem and that all he had to do was make some minor repairs and it would work properly. Pete took the time to explain the problem and how he was going to fix it. It was clear that he knew what he was doing and shared his knowledge with me. I was also considering other projects and asked his opinion and he gave me all the information and options that I needed to make a decision. After having 2 very bad experiences with local contractors, Pete was a breath of fresh air and gave me hope that there are honest dependable and efficient contractors out there. I will most definitely call Pete again and have no doubt he will do the job the right way!

Pete has done general handyman work for us on several occasions. Cannot recall total spent but he will quote you an hourly rate, which I found to be reasonable. Consistently excellent service & quality of work. I believe Pete is a bit of a perfectionist, which is a very good quality in someone doing work in my home! Responds quickly to voice mails & has always been on time to appointments. Also has given us advice on minor repairs that we can do ourselves. I know that he prefers to schedule odd jobs in half-day to full-day increments, so we save a list of the smaller things until we have enough to do to schedule a substantial block of time. No repair in "This Old House" ever goes completely as planned due to obsolete fixtures, poor work by previous owners, etc., but Pete persistently works through the obstacles to deliver a finished project.

I was impressed that he came out that night, Fixed the problem and charged me a good parice.

We had a few troublesome plumbing issues around our house so we called Pete. Our house is older and he ran into small problems along the way, but handled them all in stride. He made sure every step was done properly. He made recommendations for future work that I greatly appreciated. He's just an overall good guy: knowledgeable, honest and efficient. We will be calling him again and would highly recommend him to anyone needing plumbing work!

our old house had an old faucet that was leaking....we was not very happy with the service we got from a plumber a couple years ago so we decided to use angies list. I went through the names and businesses and found Top Notch, the reviews were great...and now i see why.Pete was amazing he found us faucets that would fit and replaced all in a timely manner.He was very pleasant and easy to talk to. I will be calling him again . I would highly recommend him!!!!

Well, it ended up that I knew Pete when he was a little boy! I was more than satisfied with the work he did. He had all tools he needed and was very clean and efficient. Pete is a very nice person and was helpful in giving me information about some of the equipment I have so that I am better able to use it.

We contacted Pete and were able to reach him right away. He was able to come in and fix our water leak in the basement and install an under sink water filter system. He did a great job...did not create a mess...showed up on time...was very professional...and finished in a timely manner...Pete will be our plumber from now on. The $200.00 included the price of the water filtration system.

I found Pete on Angie's List. He was extremely responsive to every phone call. He answered every time. I don't think I ever had to leave a message. He was creative in finding solutions for difficult to fix items. I plan to use him again after the holidays to complete my punch list.

Job was on estimate. They arrived on time and finished, as promised, in one day! Bottom of frame and brick molding had rotted. They crafted on the job site the correct dimensional size PVC planking. The door is braced better than before.

Pete was to our house very quickly to give us an estimate - I think it was the same day I called. He surveyed the work and recommended that we have some other work done first tom make sure the leak was fixed and so that we wouldn't have to go through this process again. This additional work was outside his scope of expertise, but I appreciated his thoughts on how to ensure the problem was permanently solved the first time. Once we had this additional work completed (siding modifications and repairs), Pete was back to our house promptly. He ensured he had all the pieces and parts he needed when he arrived; he worked efficiently and had the repairs completed quickly and professionally. I would definitely recommend and use Pete again.

The job was eventually completed. Although more expensive, the delay was long enough that replacement of the unit would have been a better option. The contractor was thoughful on saving the money, but replacement might have made better sense.

Pete did two jobs for us. first, he replaced a 6' stair railing with a longer railing--this involved buying a 16' railing, figuring out & cutting to the right length (13'), sanding, staining, and varnishing it, and finally installing it after removing the old one. all the work was done perfectly. no muss no fuss. it looks great and we love it.the second job was to put 2-16' wood strips on the wall of the garage so we can hang tools on them. a simple job for someone who knows how to do it, but as you all know, it can also be a big mess. well, Pete got exactly the right boards and put them up very securely at exactly the heights i wanted them. simple, straightforward, well-done.We will continue to use him and hope to be able to get him as he is in steady demand. He answered our phone message promptly and came out to give an estimate within a week. He was very accurate about when his schedule allowed for our work, and he stuck to his schedule. an altogether positive experience.

They did a really nice job. He solved the leak and everything has been working fine. He did a great job. He came at the time he promised and it was a very reasonable price for very good work. The price was good because he did real good work. He showed up when he said he would, diagnosed the problem, had what he needed on the truck and finished the job. I was very impressed. I would use him and recommend him to others. Top Notch was very good.

Pete stayed in close contact via phone and email. He showed up on time to assess the job. Spent a minimum amount of time gathering pieces and parts. Replaced the fixtures quickly and professionally. Made sure all tested fine and I was happy before finalizing the paperwork. Excellent job!

Overall, I was satisfied with the completed project.

Our overall experience, right from the first phone call to the finishing of the projects, was highly positive.
