Mr. Lindbergh called ahead to say he was on his way and was exactly on time. It took over four hours of work to access the greasy mass that was blocking the sink and disposal due to its location behind the dishwasher, etc. etc. He worked very hard and was very kind to charge only $200 for what was a great deal of work and on a holiday! We are definitely asking him back to do other things. He is super.

A few weeks ago I noticed a leak around our toilet's base. After searching around on the WEB for repair services, I came to Angie's List and discovered Pete Lindbergh/TopNotch Home Improvements. I was happy to see his great reviews and that he lived only a few miles away! I called him and he came and inspected the leak. He discovered a crack in the toilet and recommended a full replacement. I agreed. He came on 2/18/2013 and replaced the toilet within an hour - very professional! And very friendly! I had read on this list that he liked coffee - so I ran out to the local Dunkin Donuts and bought a box of Joe for all of us (my family was home that day too). It was a very pleasant experience and I look forward to employing his services in the future (I see from this list that he's quite the handyman). I am very happy to have found him - thanks to this list as well!

Pete answered my phone call promptly and quoted a price over the phone for the work to be done. He scheduled an appointment for the work to be done. He was always on time (it took three visits to repair the drywall) and cleaned up the work area after each visit. He completed all the work himself. His work was excellent and what I expected. I have already scheduled some additional work.

All work was completed as contracted, on time and the quality of work was excellent. I will use Pete in the future on all handyman type jobs needing completed.

He arrived on time and had called ahead to tell me he was on his way. Once there, he took apart the hot water stem and showed me where a rubber washer had hardened and had become inflexible. This was the cause of the leak. I asked if this was probably the case in the cold water stem and he surmised that if was probably in need of replacement. I authorized him to replace this one while he was here. It was in bad shape like the other one. I'm sure this saved me a service call in the near future. He was very willing to show me all the steps involved, in case I wanted to try the repair myself in the future. I was impressed with his knowledge on the various companies equipment. Would definitely hire him back.

We called Pete. He answered the phone personally. We setup an appointment. Pete came on time and did the work as requested. He was very professional and friendly. We would definitely use him again

The job turned out to be more extensive and dirtier than originally thought. Pete did it promptly and without complaint. He diligently completed the project and the result was totally professional. He conducted himself in a fully trustworthy, knowledgeable and personable manner.

I would definitely recommend him. He responded quickly and was clear with the pricing. He had helpful ideas and worked efficiently. He was a very pleasant person.

.Pete is one of those workman who truly takes pride in his work (so unlike many others nowadays). He is very professional and gave a fair price. The kitchen crown moulding was a tricky job. He took the time to carefully remove the old one and did not damage any part of the walls or ceiling. The new moulding was tricky as well since we have an old home and none of the walls or ceilings are straight or plumb. He really had to exhibit some meticulous work and he did it wonderfully. I would recommend Pete to anyone. Great job!

I have been very pleased with the work Pete does. He is very knowledgeable, works hard, gives good advice and charges an extremely fair price. I look forward to knowing I can call on him and will recommend him to friends. It is great to finally have someone I know I can count on for handyman services.

The leak was hard to find and hard to get to. He had to cut a small hole in our shower wall to get to the pipe, but repaired it nicely. He was at our house for 4-5 hours, including the time he spent going out to purchase needed parts.

First visit I had a toilet and a pedestal sink installed. This took a while and he had to go, he had an emergency call. He needed to come back to caulk the base of the toilet. This was $450.00. The second visit was 250.00. I had ceiling fan put in my son's room and a new shower dial put on. This was actually put on backwards.. the hot is now on the right and the cold is on the left. He suggested a call to schedule another visit to work on the rest of my list.. and he would finish up the toilet ring and he could batch the hole in the ceiling... The rest of my list wasn't done. The guy was very nice but I don't think I would use him again.

Pete was on time for the estimate and we accepted it that day. He was also on time to perform the service and was very professional in how he did the job and how he interacted with us. We are sure we will call him again for upcoming projects.

We needed help in updating our middle bathroom. It required updating and replacing the items listed above. We used Angie's list for recommendations and hired Pete. He was very professional and friendly. He did a great job at a great price. He is highly skilled at the various handyman tasks we contracted with him. He has a pleasant personality and is very clear in what has to be done and how much it will cost.

We were very happy with the work. He arrived on time on the day of the appointment, and completed the work in a timely and professional manner. We will definitely use him again.

I was in a bind since my kitchen sink drain backed up on a Friday night and I had house guests arriving on Sunday evening to stay for a week. After trying all day Saturday to get a plumber (my usual guy was out of town but he did call me back!) who could or would come out on a weekend (or even return my call), I finally went onto Angie's List where I should have started in the first place. I found Top Notch which has excellent ratings and the promise to return a call within minutes. There also was a customer review which described my situation so I knew Top Notch could do the same for me. I called late Saturday afternoon and the owner Pete answered the phone. I described my problem and he agreed to come out on Sunday at 10:00 AM. I knew I would be paying double his hourly rate on a Sunday but it was worth it to even have someone respond! Pete arrived on time, snaked out the drain and I was back in business an hour or so later. He was prompt, professional, pleasant to deal with, explained why the clog occurred and gave me suggestions as to how to keep the drain clean in the future. Even at double his normal rate it was less tham a licensed plumber would have charged me on a weekday! I will definitely use his services for other issues as well and have given his name to my neighbors.

The work went well, I was very pleased.

Pete removed the old post and mailbox at the end of our driveway and installed a new one. He set the new mailbox in concrete and put together the post / mailbox and address sign. The job was done neatly and timely. Did a great job!

I arrived at my office today to find that the water service pipe to my toilet had been leaking all weekend, and that a small pond had formed below on the basement floor, and my condominium manager called to complain about this. After checking Angie's List for local plumbers, two were listed as exceptional. The first, and well-known company could not come out until tomorrow, but I couldn't expect people coming to my office to meet an out-of-order sign on the bathroom door. My call to the second company, Top Notch, surprised me with the owner, Pete, answering the phone, himself. When I clumsily described the problem, the gentleman said that he'd be out within a half hour. Not so. He knocked on my door 15 minutes later. He diagnosed my problem quickly and he even found a second problem for which he had the simplest and quick solution. He left to purchase a part and returned a half hour later and then he quickly went to work, fixing all problems. We were discussing his instant availability on his smartphone and he showed me a handy tip on using my iPhone, which will save me time and frustration. At all times this gentleman was courteous and respectful of my time and office appearance. Total time spent, including his travel to get parts, was about one hour and forty minutes. The charge was a very respectable $170.00. I am a physician and I am always wary of service people who might inflate their fee because they assume that doctors are rich and can afford it. That fear was unfounded with Top Notch. I understand that he does work other than plumbing, and since I live in a 100 plus year old house, I will be glad to call on Top Notch in the future to take care of other repairs I am in need of.

There was no way this experience or this work could have been improved. I was entirely satisfied. By the way, the $70 included his time AND a few parts.

Pete himself answered the evening I called (after regular work hours), asked me a few questions and agreed to come to the house the next day. He came the very next evening, as scheduled. He looked around and asked some more about the work I wanted done. He told me it was too big of a job for him since I had added more things to my list, like remodel a few bathrooms, since the day before. This doesn't bother me, it is his business and he can take the work he wants, or not. I would be angry if he took on too big of a job and couldn't do it or had it drag on because it was too much for him. The person I called two weeks ago came to the house late, smelling of alcohol and looked around and told me he would get back to me with an estimate in a few days. I haven't herad from him since. I wish he had been as professional as Pete and just told me he didn't want the job, or couldn't handle it. Based on this experience I will call Pete when I hve smaller jobs in the future.

Overall, everything went well. Simple swap of tanks. We had a 220 line sitting near the install area so it was simple to change over

Pete did the repair at my mother's house and all went fine. She thought the price was high, but I believe it was reasonable. She also wished a higher grade faucet had been installed, but she didn't specify that before he went to purchase it.
