If it weren't for the outstanding work of the two guys that were sent to complete this job I would have given this company an F. When the owner came out to give the estimate, it seemed like a no brainer to go with this company for the above services. Although, the pricing was on the high side we realized that it would require several guys to complete the work. Our house is very tall and also realized that large ladders would be needed. The morning that the work was to begin, the two guys (who are not owners but employees) were very punctual, polite, and efficient. We were told that this was a one day job and made several schedule changes to allow one of us to home for the day. However, there is no way possible that two men could get through this job even with the correct equipment. Which brings me to my next topic, on our quote it stated they would bring paint for the front door that was as closer to the current color as possible....they knew nothing about bringing paint. Additionally, the day of the quote the owner walked the property and never thought to measure what size ladders would be needed. They had to have one delivered in the afternoon the day the work was to be completed. Again, I must mention that the two guys that were on the job were great and did a really detailed job. So, of course they had to come back for a second day and again we had to make changes in our schedule to allow for this. When I asked about the schedule for the work to be completed, I was told that Saturday wouldn't work because they were on another job...the day of the quote the owner(Chris) told us that he has his guys working on his house every Saturday. They were able to get us back on the calender a week later at which time the work was completed. One last thing I must mention is that I also asked the owner the cost of installing replacement shutters, he would not give me a quote for this unless we ordered the replacement shutters through him. His quote for parts and labor was $1889 - I ordered my own shutters and a siding company is installing for $200. As a side note the same shutters that he was going to order were purchased for less than $700 so parts and labor were less than $900.

I'm very pleased with them. I just used them out on another property. I think they're fairly priced. I think their work is good but they're kind of tough to deal with in terms of getting estimates. Their paperwork is kind of slow. I've been trying to seek another quote that I've been trying to get for a week.

I called The Handyman Service the morning of Saturday November 23, 2013, and I submit a detailed listing of my first project, via their website, to receive a quote. The customer service representative stated that someone would contact me shortly; however no one called back. On Tuesday November 24, 2013, I called The Handyman Service to find out the status of my request, and I spoke with Carol. She stated that Chris would come to my home on Tuesday December 3, 2013 at 8:30am. Before December 3, 2013, Carol called me to reschedule for the evening of December 3, 2013, at 4:30pm, and on December 2, 2013, she called to reschedule again for December 4, 2013, at 5:30pm. The Handyman Service never provided a quote for the project list that was submitted via the website, and they never showed up for the scheduled December 4, 2013 appointment.

It was just not an okay experience and I wouldn't call him again. I had noticed that when he took the old fan down, first of all, he didn't put any covering over the bed and then he had put the old fan down on the floor and oil leaked down onto the carpet. When he was going in and out of the front door, he created a hole in my screen. I actually had to carry the old fan and everything three stories down to put it in the trash recycle. The whole experience was just not good. He did apologize. He did a good job installing the fan. I called him back to try to get him to repair the screen and he never called back so I had to pay for that out of pocket myself. He was on time.

Excellent job. The service was prompt and efficient. Cleanup was great. Insullation is working and my energy bills are much less.

Everything went fabulous. They are saving me tons of money on my electric bill and they even gave me fabulous advice before I had them do this work. They put me a program where the state of Delaware actually paid for a large portion of what they did. They also did an energy audit for me which is when they were able to get me on this program. After they finished the insulation they did another energy audit to show me how much energy was saved. Overall they did a very good job with the work.

They did a fantastic job. I would highly recommend them.

I had a Living Social Coupon for 2 hours of handyman services for $65. The estimate for the above job was $270. They were prompt in scheduling and arriving for the estimate but difficult to schedule to get the actual work done. When the men arrived to do the job, they were unprepared for the job and I had to explain to them what was supposed to be done. They then had to go to Home Depot to get supplies. One of the three jobs remains unfinished. UPDATE: I was contacted by Chris and the work was completed. I appreciate them contacting me and resolving it.

Chris came out to give me an estimate for handyman services. I e-mailed my list of small jobs, before he came out, to make sure it was work that he does. He was nice enough when he came out but seemed disinterested in the jobs I needed and, instead, tried to push a $500 home energy audit. I never heard back from him and he never followed up with a quote for the work I requested. Update 6/6/2011. I finally heard back from Chris with an estimate. $720. It included a home energy audit which I did not ask for and, even removing that cost, he was $200 more than my other estimates.

He was very personable and clean. He left everything spic and span. It was a very pleasant experience. He was prompt given the 3 inches of snow. He was very professional. I would use him again in a heart beat.
