Repaired existing construction for inspection by state . Repaired faulty ground, replaced 4 breakers, installed new GFI an 2 plastic cover on fluorescent lights with bulbs. Originally said it would take an hour or hour an half for 2 electricians at 65 an hour. Charged me 2 jours for 2 electricians, double for each breaker, 25 for plastic covers that are 8$ an 130$ for 70$ inspection. Charged 709$ for a 3 or 4 hundred dollar job. He gave me a 200$ break only after I contested charges. Get a written estimate an check parts cost. Beware

We had an outlet installed in a cabinet for an Over the Range Microwave. They ran the line with no damage to ceilings or drywall which involved some creative thinking which we were thankful for. Install went well. Was fast and done with no mess or dirt. Professional and on time. Outlet works well. (They did not install the microwave, we did that ourselves.) Very satisfied and would hire them again if ever needed.

I had called several electricians btwn 8 & 10am (three of which are also listed on Angies List!) and Mr. Stapleford was the only one who responded appropriately due to the known circumstances/emergency! One contractor did not call me for over 2 hrs despite that I made a 2nd call when I did not receive the response from their dispatcher as promised. One didn't call back until after 4 pm and another not until after 4:30pm hours after Mr. Stapleford had already completed the job and gone! Mr. Stapleford was professional, fast, honest and fair! After my experience today I would NEVER WASTE MY TIME CALLING ANYONE ELSE!! Mr. Stapleford arrived in less than an hour after my initial communication with him. He quickly diagnosed the issues at hand. He did one repair (caulked where water/moisture was liking getting in to cause a problem) and replaced a second circuit which was bad. His rate was already reasonable but with a $25 New Customer Coupon for Angies List Members I saved even more! It was such a pleasant experience that I made a 2nd appointment to have new lighting installed in my kitchen for which his estimate was also very reasonable. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS ELECTRICIAN !!!!!!

Very professional, was here on time both for estimate and installation, reasonable time from estimate approval from work. Even, came back to get outside lamppost done quickly at my request, before coming back to finish work. Flexible and good to work with.

We needed to put a cable outlet on a wall in our music room where we were relocating a computer, desk, router and speakers, and Mike Stapleford did the job in about an hour or so. He has years of experience and was a nice guy.

Oh HAPPY day! This was my first Angie's List contractor experience, and I am SUPER pleased! I found them here with an A grade, called and left a voicemail. Two days later got a call back (not the quickest, but I didn't have an urgent matter anyway), and after sharing what I needed, Michael said he'd send two guys and probably be an hour worth of work for a total of $130 ($65/hr/man). I booked an appt for a week later. Two guys came today and quickly (borderline magically) installed the two ceiling fans and security light in 45min. I get they can do these easy things in their sleep, but I thought it was still impressively fast! Since I booked an hour, I asked them to check out my garage door that works most times, but randomly doesn't. They checked the wires and found they weren't fastened together very well, so he stripped the wires and attached them securely in about 5 min. The guys were super friendly, and there was no evidence they were here because they kept everything so clean and neat. They were happy to do whatever I needed and said that numerous times. I didn't have anything else unfortunately, so when drafting the bill, he remembered I said I found them on Angie's List, and reminded me of the coupon I didn't have! That was ABOVE AND BEYOND and unexpected. It was $25 off! So actually came to $105 but I gave $130 because that's what I expected to pay and their service was WELL WORTH IT!

Mike installed a ceiling fan, after taking down an existing ceiling box and putting up a fan-rated one, all within an hour as he promised. He was knowledgeable, professional, punctual (came early, which is rare), and his expertise was obvious. My only (mild) dissatisfaction was that he charged a few dollars extra than market value for the ceiling box part he provided after he explained that the ones I had were not going to work. I understand that this is common as he is providing the part on the spot. I would hire him without any hesitation for future jobs. Here is an advice for anyone looking for help installing a ceiling fan. It's a heavy item and could be huge safety hazard if not done properly and with the right parts. Before Mike, I had contacted a handyman with good reviews here, and he thought the box I had was good enough for hanging a fan, and was charging me double what Mike did. He was obviously wrong. I had luckily done some research of my own by then, so I didn't get the handyman to do it as I had doubts. Please get a good electrician for such jobs.

Good. I had to reset the timers. We'll see if they work tonight and in the morning. It took about two hours for them to do the work. I would hire them again.

Mr Stapleford responded to my call the same day. An appointment was set within two days and the electrical problem was assessed and fixed. I will use his services again in the future.

Arrived on time, worked steadily and courteously. Wanted to have them back and scheduled a followup appointment, but I was unable to meet them. They are good contractors.

Perfect experience from beginning to the end. Stapleford Electric was recommended to me by a realtor and then I checked Angie's List as a confirmation. Michael Stapleford responded immediately to my call and an appointment was made for a visit to my home for an estimate. When he came, Michael was thorough in his inspection of the work that I had requested and offered an explanation for the need to make these changes. He assured me that he would be on site to do the work along with his capable and well trained employees. I did not feel a need for a second estimate since I felt confident with two excellent reports and I appreciated his time explaining the work that would be done. A start date was set soon after the estimate was given. The electricians were scheduled at 8 AM and arrived earlier to unload their equipment. Mr. Stapleford and his men worked diligently until about 2 PM. After completion of the job, clean up was thorough. It was a pleasure doing business with Stapleford Electric and would highly recommend them to anyone needing electrical work done.

Mr. Stapleford was prompt, efficient, courteous and most of all, he listened to my concerns. Having him work for me was a pleasure and I would highly recommend him. Also, he is very reasonably priced.

I emailed this provider on 8/18/14. I called and left a message on 8/19/14, saying I knew it was short notice, but please let me know if they might be able to help us. I did not receive a return communication as of 8/21/14 at 11am. I waited 48 hours before contacting another provider because this provider was well-reviewed. A simple call or text to say "sorry, not available" would have helped since we had to scramble for a repair. I would have understood! I believe they do good work but need to work on communication.

Throughout this process we have had to deal with a number of different types of contractors with numerous calls to find the right person. We have had a number of negative experiences during this process. Mike was immediately responsive to our request for a quote, and we were instantly impressed with his professionalism and knowledge in his field. When putting in a pool, the electrician needs to provide certain services along the way, including arranging for the necessary inspections for each step, and this requires multiple visits and flexibility on his part. His final visit will be tomorrow, and he has arranged for the final electrical inspection for Monday which will complete his work. He has many years of experience and has an excellent work ethic. When he leaves the work site, you hardly know he has been there as he and his crew are very neat and considerate. He takes the time to thoroughly explain what he will be doing, is willing to answer questions along the way, and is very knowledgeable about the state and county codes. We absolutely will call upon him again for any electrical work we need done. The only other comment is that he responds faster to calls on his cell phone because he has it with him all the time. We were selling our house and came to find out that basement electrical panel had never received its final inspection when it was finished. As a result, we had to bring everything up to current codes, which included child-proof outlets. There were at least 25 outlets. They changed all of them out, and arranged to have a final electrical box inspection. There were a couple of other minor issues they noticed and took care of while doing the work. Also, 2 outlets had to be changed into GFCI outlets. Mike and his crew were very friendly and professional. They initially did an estimate, and then came back pretty soon after we requested the work. I was very happy with them and felt I could trust them, and I felt the price was extremely reasonable for what they were doing. I will definitely use them again.

They were nearby and they actually called back. I met the man and I like him. He's been very competitive. His price is good and I like that his helpers were professional. I was impressed with them. One of his apprentice didn't wired the two way switch correctly which I didn't realize until after they have left but he came back the next night and fixed it. Everything was fine and he was very responsive. When you are doing a three way switches...it can be messed up but he came back took care of everything and no problem.

Mr. Stapleford showed up promptly on time, was courteous and professional. He installed two outlets, doubled another existing outlet and installed a light fixture. He did great work and I would highly recommend him.
