+ -1 moreWow...overall, this experience has been exactly what I expected. I'm not a person who just wants to write a check and have it magically done. I want to know what's going on! Usually I go into home improvement projects with my heart in my throat and a "What Next?" attitude. Don't have to worry here. From start to finish, I feel like I've been a part of this improvement process, and I can't wait to hear rain pounding on my new roof and know that I don't have any worries.
Description of Work: This is the second time I've used this company. The first time, there was no Angie's List for me to rate it. I called Mr. Shaw on a Webdnesday. He came out that afternoon, inspected my crappy roof and called me with a ballpark estimate. Then, he scheduled time to come on that Saturday and go over the estimate in detail with me. Everything was clearly laid out and itemized. He said he would start Monday sometime between 7 and 7:30 am. He and his crew showed promptly at 7:15 and went to work. He has kept me in the loop with every step - showing me where there were defects in the previous roofing job and making sure that I knew he was going to fix it and with what. I'm no carpenter, but I know rotted wood when I see it! I highly recommend Mr. Shaw. His workers are as polite and as hard-working as he is, and I saw the same faces every day. I didn't have to worry that he picked up his help from the local immigrant corner. When I came home from work one afternoon, I saw one of the workers combing my side yard with a magnet making sure there were no stray nails. That kind of attention to detail is why I'm recommending him. I wish there was a higher grade. Getting a new roof is a pain, but Shaw's Roofing made it as painless as possible.
