+ -1 moreMike was right on time and did a great job again. The price I was quoted was the price I paid, no surprises. Very happy again with the work. Left the place clean. Kept me informed all the way thru the job. Very easy to talk to and work with. I would highly recommend Mike to anyone.
Description of Work: Had Mike back again to install backup power to my house. Mike installed a recepticle in my garage to connect to a generator, also installed another breaker box so I can run my heater, water pump and a few other appliances. Now I won't get flooded during a power outage or be in the dark. Very nice setup and easy to use.

+ -1 moreMike arrived on time, and was very professional and knowledgeable. Everything was completed as stated in the estimate and was done in a very timely manner. I am extremley happy with work. He kept me informed all the way thru the job. You would never even know he was there after he completed the work. He left the place very clean. I will definitely recommend and use this company again.
Description of Work: I had my family room rewired. Removed old aluminum wire and replaced with copper. All new outlets installed and switches for over head lighting relocated. Mike also installed some communication boxes for my internet and home network. A new outlet was also installed in laundry room. A GFI recepticle was installed in my garage and switch installed for light over garage door.

+ -1 moreMike did great work and he completed the work when he said it would be completed. The price paid was the price he quoted and he left everything very clean. I could not tell he was even in my house when the job was completed. Mike was very informative in explaining all of my options and he was a pleasure to deal with which has not been my experience with other contractors. My neighbor also hired him to set up his house to run off of his generator and he had similar positive comments. I have since hired Mike again to add some receptacles in my house and his service was consistently excellent. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an electrician.
Description of Work: After a power outage last year during a bad storm I contacted Mike to get options on how to deal with a power outage. He set up our house to run off of a portable generator after discussing several alternatives with me. He came up with an option that was much cheaper then a whole house generator. Mike installed a special receptacle and a special fuse box in the basement to run selective appliances, lights and water pump in the basement. Now we can run what we need to be self sufficient and we do not need to run electrical cords throughout the house from the generator. We can run our heater, water hear, microwave, lights and water pump in the basement to avoid flooding. Several of our neighbors got flooded during the storm and suffered thousand of dollars in damages which prompted me to get this work done. All we need to do now is plug the generator into a special outlet Mike installed outside and then flip the breaker he installed in the basement and we are good to go. We could not run all these appliances without the work that Mike completed.

+ -1 moreEverything started off great. Mike was very polite and completed the work per the agreed upon terms. However, given the nature of the work on the second floor, we paid Mike based on the number of hours worked and not by a piece rate. Our perception is that he adjusted his work speed to fit a rate amount that he felt was appropriate for the work. i.e. he was very slow, so it cost us twice as much for him to do the work. It took him almost 6 days to finish the work on the second floor. In the family room we agreed on a set price and miraculously he was able to finish the job in one day! While the work was very good quality work and everything passed inspection, we would not use his services gain.
Description of Work: Replaced approximately 28 non IC rated recessed lights with IC rated recessed lights on second floor. Installed 21 additional recessed lights in family room. Replaced a few outlets and switches. Installed a GFI and a new junction box to carry the additional load from the 21 new lights.

+ -1 moreThe work was scheduled and performed within two days of my initial call. He didn't charge for the travel since he had another job in Wilmington. (That was greatly appreciated) I plan to have more work done by this company later in the summer since he was reasonably priced and professional.
Description of Work: I had two plugs outside that were not functioning. He came and replaced both plugs and tightened the connections on the pool electric box.
