Installation of a new front door and storm door was done efficiently and on schedule with quality work and painting. After installation, a minor adjustment was requested and the work was done promptly and at no additional cost.

We initially retained Martin to redo the kitchen, and we chose him because of price, flexibility and lack of hassle. Martin did all the carpentry work for the kitchen remodel, including plumbing the walls and fixing a termite-damaged floor beam, and he also did all the plumbing work. Work was done very well. Because of the good work, we then asked Martin to remodel a bathroom, and that was done very well, and included tile installation, new piping etc. That went very well. The prior work held out, and so we asked Martin to replace the roof. That roof work was done very well also. On the first day, Martin had about 10 people working on the shingle-part of the roof work to make sure that work was done before rains came. A following day his people did the flat part of the roof. We have now had some heavy rains, and I checked and everything is fine. No damage to the guttering system. So, very happy and would recommend.

Our experience with Martin and his crew on these jobs was overall the best we have ever had with home improvement projects. Martin was extremely professional and willing to work with us on all aspects of the jobs. Martin’s crew was very polite, , professional, clean, punctual and paid attention to detail. We replaced our tile in the foyer, and the entire time the work was going on the job site areas and house were kept extremely clean. The end result of the foyer is even better than our expectations. The front door entranceway’s surrounding woodwork was replaced and a bluestone step was added. The detail on the work is extremely good. They paid attention to the detail. I am not easily impressed, but I can easily say the work of these jobs by Martin and his crew is awesome.

Marcin and his crew are outstanding. The show up on time every day. They were courteous to our home and property and have good etiquette. Marcin responds to all phone calls in a timely manor and checks up on his workers. We had the exterior of our house painted. It is a stone and brick house so only the windows/doors/trim, etc were painted. The men did a few things that we didn't even ask for that added to the quality of the job. 1. They removed and replaced some damaged window glazing. 2. We discovered, after they had finished, they polished the brass door handles on the front door. Unfortunately, we had a small problem that caused the work to take a lot longer than we expected and thus the job ended up going from $7,000 to $11,000. Since there were multiple layers of paint, there were many highs and lows when the paint was applied. We ended up having to have wood filler put on the entire house, and that added about a week to the job. While the increase in cost wasn't the best feeling, the job was done right and looks great. Of course, we are always prepared for unexpected costs when doing home improvement jobs. This was our second large job with Martin's Home Improvements, and we expect to continue to utilize them.

We are very pleased with the work that was done. The team was very punctual, gave wonderful attention to detail, and communicated with us throughout the duration of the project to see if we had any questions and were happy with the progress of the project. Martin's Home Improvement (MHI) did an excellent job. This was the third and final bathroom that we updated after buying a home in North Wilmington. The first two we had done by another contractor who did a great job, but was too slow with some minor problems we found later with electrical work. We decided that our final bathroom needed to be done in two weeks (not two-three months!) and at a good price. I reached out to four contractors and Martin's Home Improvement met our requirements. The project was completed in about two weeks - this was a complete job from gutting the existing hall bathroom to studs and replacing floor, walls, tub, sink, toilet, shower, tiles, mirror, lighting, and fan. They showed up everyday on time. The workers were very professional and skillful. I was home most of the time while they were working and so saw how careful they were to do the job right. Communication was great. Marcin texted back in a timely manner and dropped by the project often to supervise his team. I could tell they knew what they were doing and Marcin himself told me that he does 25-40 bathroom jobs a year. I bought the tile, vanity, sink, toilet, tub, faucets, fan, and mirror and MHI provided building supplies and paint. The price quote from MHI was for labor and building supplies. I would definitely use Martin Home Improvement again and will highly recommend him to others. MHI is dependable, fair, efficient, and the quality of work is excellent.

I obtained three estimates from pros from Angie's List. Martin was quick to grasp what needed to be done. He knew the requirements this job needed and explained the process. He submitted the estimate in a timely manner. Although his estimate was not the lowest I chose him because he impressed me with his knowledge of what was needed to get the job done. It was about a four week wait for work to begin. Work crews arrived on time, worked steadily throughout the day and cleaned up before leaving for the day. The work took four days to complete. All work was done professionally throughout the four days. I am very pleased with the result. I now have a wonderful, well-built, beautiful laundry area on my second floor. No longer do I have to descend two flights of stairs with laundry basket to do the wash. I made the right choice. Whenever another home improvement project comes up, I will be calling Martin's Home Improvement.

It was expensive, but the quality of work was excellent. We are happy with the results.

We finally found the right contractor! We had 3 projects involving the basement, Master bath and front porch. Martin and his team are very skilled. The work is high quality, efficient and done correctly. Estimates are provided in writing in advance of the job. Martin is often onsite - either doing the work himself or supervising and guiding his team. He communicates well and often and he stands behind his work. We had a small issue in the Master Bath with the painting on the ceiling. He came immediately to inspect it, figured out the issue and had his team redo the ceiling paint. It's now perfect. He is also strategic in making suggestions and giving creative ideas on how to approach the job in ways we had not thought of ourselves. I highly recommend Martin's Home Improvements.

Martin and workers showed up on time each day. The workers had a serious attention to detail when completing the bathroom renovation. I am super happy with the work and will be hiring again to renovation my master bathroom.

Martin and his team did a phenomenal job remodeling our living room and powder room. They did a great job of removing the wood paneling and installing drywall in the living room and powder room. They also gave us several suggestions (installing recessed lights and opening up the entry to the hallway) that were practical, reasonable and not at all pushy. They always arrived on time, were exceptionally clean and finish the job exactly at the time they said they would. Martin was always available and came to our house to discuss different options. Well worth the price.

My house was badly damaged by a water main burst and needed new floors, drywall and baseboard. We were in a tough situation living in a hotel and under a huge time constraint. All other contractors told us start dates of 4-6 weeks. Martin and his team came in within a week and worked late all weekend to get the job done for us knowing the situation. There was some damaged areas that I missed with Martin on our first walk-through and without any hesitation they fixed all additional requests I had and still finished ahead of schedule. The quality of workmanship, professionalism, and overall experience with Martin's Home Improvement was EXCELLENT! If I ever need any work again, he will 100% be the team I call. I can't say enough good things about them!

It went perfect. Marcin and his crew showed up on time every day. We received quality workmanship at a great price. Marcin's communication is great, his men did good work, and they were very respectful to out home. They did the work as if it was their own home. We hope to have the crew back next year to do more work.

They were too expensive for me. They were friendly guys. Their cost was too high compared to the other estimate that I got. I got 3 estimates and theirs was probably the most expensive one.
