BasementGurus are truly the gurus. We did 2 projects with them and we were satisfied with both of the jobs. Ashley (the inspector) who came out to quote us was very nice and understood our problems, she had a solution for us right away and walked us through the process in detail. They have reasonable pricing and they provide financing as well. The workers were really mindful of everything and finished their jobs with perfection and made sure we were satisfied. We did basement waterproofing and were really satisfied with the work so we also decided to get our second project done with them which was to stop water coming in the house from backyard and removing our shed and deck. They provided all the services and cleaned up everything nicely. Ashley Dougherty was always just a text away and ready to help us and made sure we got everything done the way we wanted. All the staff was really nice, the finance department and scheduling department were always ready to help and answer questions. I would recommend this company to anyone who wants to get any type of waterproofing job done and other services as well.

I worked with Ashley, and found her to be very knowledgeable. She had no trouble answering questions, more than once if necessary. All work was completed in one day including clean up. There have been a couple of hard rains since with no issues.

Dan Kelly is amazing to work. He first came to my clients property a few months ago to install a sump pump in the basement. Which he did an AMAZING job with. Then he came back a few months later over concerns on one wall. He treated the wall then painted it because it was important to him that his clients be happy with everything. As a realtor I work with A LOT of contractors, but this on is at the top of my list for his field. His pricing are more than fair, he is communicative and does what he says he will do. I highly recommend.

Dan was wonderful and exceeded our expectation. They were fast and very reasonable on pricing and cleaned up when they were done. I would recommend them to anyone.

As Promised, they came on time for the proposal and the work, and everything was done quickly and efficiently. They prepared the area and cleaned up every speck. We are so received not to have to worry about heavy rains now in our utility room and basement area. I would recommend them for sure!

The actual install of sump pump and French drain were fine but promised finish of the job was not done. Once my check cleared, they went poof. Have contacted company repeatedly to no avail. We are seniors and can not finish job ourselves. Will have to pay others to complete BGs work. UPDATE: After my review (above), Basement Gurus reached out to me to complete the work as I had hoped. Definitely appreciated the customer service person who contacted me. The finished job is fine and I would consider recommending them to others. As a result, I have revised my ratings.

Basement Gurus did a wonderful job. The professionals, Bill and Dan, are very experienced and hard working. Especially Bill comes with a lot of knowledge and solves issues with forward thinking. They are ready to help out of the way to make sure the job is well done and customer is satisfied. I would highly recommend them and will work with them again in future.

They completely redid the crawl space with new French drain, dehumidifier added to the existing sump pump, insulation and wrapping. It is clean, and pretty now!

Excellent detail of the scope of work provided by Dan. Crew of four men arrived as scheduled. Very organized and methodical andcompleted our job in one day! Amazing! Cleaned up the entire area including the driveway before leaving. Gave an overview of how the system works. Communicated with me throughout the project. I am very happy and hoping for a big rain so I can see a dry basement as a result of the work by Basement Gurus!

My basement flooded from a split in my foundation. Dan from Basement Gurus came to give me an estimate within two hours of my initial inquiry. The work was completed in one day just 5 days after my initial call for an estimate and is completely fixed along with preventive measures to assure I never see a drop of water in my basement again. Professionalism and quality of work are unmatched.

Basement Gurus exceeded my expectations. In addition to improving the drainage system around my basement, mold was removed and basement walls and ceiling was painted. An egress window was installed and the basement was put back in better condition than when the work was started.

One of the best experiences I have had as a homeowner, hands down. In February 2020, we had a flood in our basement due to a clog in the sewage pipe. At the time, we did not realize that this had caused mold to spore. Our home started to have a strange smell and soon we made a realization that we had to do something about it. We remembered that we had previously been given a quote for waterproofing and mold remediation by the Basement Gurus (following excellent work we had done by Roof Gurus). They did not pressure us to do anything or try to up-sell. There was no icky/slimy sales rep feeling. Just natural, human connection with the customerâ s best interest in mind. These guys came in and gave us service at a fraction of the cost and ten times the friendliness of the larger competitors - no price gouging. Whenever I think of a home project, I will think of the Gurus (Roof Gurus, Basement Gurus etc.). They have always been willing to come give estimates or simply investigate an issue - even when it has turned out to be not 100% related their service area. I come from a 10 year background of customer service so trust me when I say these guys are the real deal. Quality work, quality products & excellent customer service that I will never forget.

For anyone looking to get waterproofing done in their home: I moved into my house about two years ago and would get floods in my basement during every storm. I tried to fix it myself environmentally but failed in my attempts. I then decided to finally fix the problem and get my basement waterproofed. Being relatively new to Delaware, I put in a request to get free estimates. I had a few companies come out to look at it and narrowed my choices down. I was down to Basement Waterproofing Specialists (BWS) and Basement Gurus. The difference was the representative from Basement Gurus had a more natural approach and took the time to ask numerous questions, as the other representatives asked little to no questions. The Basement Gurus representative suggested to fix internally AND externally, plus they even added a lateral system in my basement. No other company felt to even thought of a lateral systems or external drainage, or to even ask about it. I could not speak more highly of the representative and his team at Basement Gurus, they took the time to explain every step and the process before and during the installation to keep me involved with what was going on. The crew was extremely polite and respectful of my house, they were very efficient and they *did not play games* for lack of a better word. lol The very next day we had heavy rains, which I was excited to test out my waterproofing system! During and after it rained there was not even a single drop of water in my basement or laundry room. The representative even had his team remove and replace all of the studs that had become moldy and also put in new mold-resistant drywall. Basement Gurus treated us as if we were family and for anyone looking to get waterproofing done in their house, call Basement Gurus, they truly stand themselves apart from the competition!

Basement gurus diagnosed the problem with the dry well and installed a better system than the existing one. They included points along the system to monitor the well drainage.
