G.M.A. Painting LLC

This is actually the second time I had Alex out to do work on my house. The first time he did such an amazing job cleaning and sealing my deck that I knew right away that I was going to hire him to fix my walls and paint several rooms in my house. Alex also helped me to pick out the right colors to paint the walls in my bedrooms. Alex was always courteous and nice. He went above and beyond. I felt completely comfortable having Alex paint my house while I was working. I would recommend Alex to anyone (& already have), he does excellent work and is very clean.

To say it went well is a total understatement....it went as perfectly as any large painting project could go. I was concerned about so much painting to be done while all my furniture was still in the house. He was very careful to cover everything including the carpeting. Alex is very detail oriented and is a perfectionist. He takes pride in his work and it shows!

This was my 2nd time selecting Alex from GMA Painting. Alex had previously made a great impression in the work he did painting my exterior, so I gladly asked him to quote my next job. I needed my cabinet doors and drawer fronts painted. Alex was able to take them off site to be sprayed. He explained in detail his approach, which made me confident in the quality of the work. As expected, Alex was great to work with. He communicates well, in whatever method works best for the customer (email is preferred for me and my busy schedule). He can be counted to be on schedule (picking up the doors, how long they needed, and when he delivered the doors). The doors are all hung now and the kitchen looks amazing. I will surely continue to use GMA Painting for any future work!

I contacted Alex of GMA Painting on Monday 11/2 for a quote for some exterior painting on my 100+ year old Wilmington home. Alex promptly returned my call and arranged to come out the next day to take a look. Alex provided a detailed quote explaining his approach, and what is included with the price quoted. The price was right, but an important factor for me was also the timing (eager to get this exterior painting complete before the weather turned too cold). Alex was able to find a date the following week that he and his brother could tackle the job. Both men arrived on time, were friendly, professional, and completed the job right on schedule. The end result looks great, and I am thrilled to have found a painter that I will certainly use in the future!

GMA was great! They came out and gave me an estimate the same day I called. They were easy to deal with through the scheduling process. (Which was an added bonus because the original company I tried to hire stopped returning my calls when it came time to schedule the job.) Alexander was polite, quick to respond to questions, and very nice to my dog. He offered to also clean my fence at no charge, without me asking. He power washed my deck and then came back to stain it. I have no complaints about the quality of the work. It looks great. I will definitely call them again when it is time to have my deck done again.

Alex did a great job of painting my son's bedroom. My son's room had dark red walls and we choose to repaint with a much lighter color. Red is a difficult color to cover. Alex did a great job of covering the red and repainting my son's room. He's very professional and a really nice guy. I had absolutely no hesitation with leaving him in my home without me being there. He is completely trustworthy, and I'm a single mom! I would highly recommend him. He will definitely be working for us again. I've also referred him to clients of mine and they all love him!

We first hired G.M.A. for work at our beach house, last summer (2013). Our house is on the bay, facing west, so it is an ongoing maintenance job. Alex scraped, patched, sanded and painted the woodwork of a big wrap around porch. We then hired him to clean and stain the deck, that measures over 1000 sq. ft. He brought his brother along to help with the deck. It was a very big job! Last fall, we hired G.M.A. to paint several interior spaces in our Wilmington home. He tackled an exercise room filled with heavy equipment which he moved carefully. We then hired G.M.A. to continue with additional interior spaces/rooms this winter. Alex is young and anxious to please. He is conscientious about protecting floors and furniture and about the very important clean-up. He works efficiently and his prices are reasonable. He is not afraid to ask for help if the job is bigger than he can tackle on his own (like our beach deck). Our home is filled with art and photographs. Alex replaced all very carefully. We are on G.M.A.'s schedule for more beach painting this spring!

Our house is on the bay in Rehoboth, facing West, so it is an ongoing maintenance job. Alex was diligent in finishing these two projects to our satisfaction. The project went very smoothly.
