+ -1 moreThe installers started the day about 8 a.m. and finished close to 5 p.m. They put down tarps so they wouldn't track dirt through the house, and were careful to close doors as they went in and out so my dogs didn't get out. They dismantled the old furnace and a/c unit and hauled them away. We purchased what is called a "hybrid" system. It uses the heat pump for air conditioning and heating until the outside temperature gets below 40 degrees or so. Then, the oil furnace kicks in. We noticed a difference right away. The upstairs is now the same temperature as the first floor where the thermostat is.
Description of Work: We purchased a heat pump and a new furnace. Everything was done as promised. The installers were professional and neat, and we had a pleasant surprise when our salesman came to check the work and show us how to program the new thermostat.
