I chose Dave because of his high ratings and use of email. Interaction with him was pleasant because I hate using the phone. When I received his bid I was not happy because the 2 services added up to more than the kiln (and they are not cheap). I contacted 2 other electricians whose bids were 50% lower, so I am going with one of them. zI know people who have used Dave for other things and think very highly of him.

He gave a great inspection, provided a lot of excellent information and took his time to check & re-check. However, he missed that the heating plenum was too small for the heater. It took another company and rep who had 30 + years of experience to notice that detail. BUT, other service representatives from other companies missed that problem, also.

It was Saturday true... but never got a reply to my phone message. Toughed it out till Monday and called again. After that I Got 5 star service. Told them what to expect, they brought parts, fixed in about an hour. Excellent. Will recommend.

He was a very nice man and I believe I will use him in the future. I believe he gave me the quote on the 24th and that took about a week, it took a little longer to get the quote. He was very nice and his prices for some things were very reasonable and some were very high. I liked him a lot and I think that probably he would be someone I was to work with, but not for every job. Donald is the owner and he came out. When I called to inquire about the status of the quote, they sent it over within a day. I would get a quote from him again.

Went without incident. Shut power off to try out, and it worked first time.

It went well. The first solution did not work, but the second did. Don responded quickly to both calls and came promptly.

They did good work. They were very courteous, and for the most part, came when they said they would.

He is typically not the cheapest, however value for the money is very worth it. He keeps our house up to code and we have decided to use him exclusively. He has upgraded outlets, maintatined and supported out heater and a/c unti twice a year. He also services our dehumidifier. He installed a battery-operated backup sump system for us. We have a 52 year old house and he has been able to update and add onto our electric system for modern amenities. He lets me ask just about any questions pertaining to the work and we are able to discuss the options.

Earlier in the day we had a toaster oven malfunction and overheat. When we used that outlet later in the day, we became concerned that maybe the wall outlet had also been compromised. He came very promptly, checked it out, ran several tests and then explained why he thought the wall wiring was okay. He explained options to keep same receptacle or replace it with a GFI (that would meet current code) one. Since this is an older house, we had the new receptacle installed. While he was here, he also checked out our attic fan and determined it had a bad motor. (We did not replace the fan/motor at this time.) Overall, it went fabulous. He was prompt, efficient, knowledgeable and courteous. We would have him again.

The entire process was first class. I called and spoke with Don (the owner) and explained to him what I wanted to have done. We agreed on a date and time for him to come to our home. It was less than a week between the initial call and the scheduled walkthru date. Don arrived on time to do the walkthru and view the work in order to provide an estimate. He showed and explained to me exactly what work he way going to do as well as why he was doing certain things. He explained that he would need to shutdown the electrical power to the house for a period of time. He explained the work that would be performed at a later date by Delmarva Power. Don emailed me an estimate within two days. I got comparable pricing from other companies, and although Don didn't have the lowest price, it was competitive and his scope of work was more comprehensive. During the bidding period I had a few questions that I emailed to Dave in the office. He answered all questions in a timely, clear and concise manner. Once I notified Dave that I had selected them to do the work, we scheduled a date (within two weeks) and a start time. Don and his assistance arrived on time and performed the work in a professional manner. All facets of the work are first class including clean up. Additionally, they honored their on-line coupon.

Don was very nice and professional. He suggested a solution to my issue that was very practical, and the work went off without a hitch.

We got prompt, courteous service. Eichholz diagnosed the problem as a loose wire in one of the outlets and re-wired. This had been an outlet that the homeowner had replaced himself. Turns out that a good quality receptacle was used, but not wired in the best way. Some professional advice was given to the homeowner. We were pleased with the service and would call them again.

We've used them several times and they always do very good work.

Matt, the electrician, took the entire top part of my lamp post apart, checked all the wiring for rust and/or leaks (it's an old post), found everything to be fairly good (no rust but some wet spots on the inside) and replaced the sensor. And now, it works perfectly.. Concerning the timer, he said that as long as I had already purchased a new one, he'd replace the defective one right then and there on the spot. Now, I'm really annoyed with myself, because for the last 7 years, I've only been able to control the hour portion of the timer, which is a pain, and just like that, in less than 10 minutes,...the entire new one works exactly as it's supposed to. This could have been taken care of years ago!! Oh well, better late than.......

During our house renovation, we called Eichholz come in to repair and finish up the work of another electrician. Eichholz is fantastic! Matt, our technician, Don, Dave, and Sandy are extremely professional, amiable and knowledgeable. They gave us upfront pricing, and completed the work faster than we scheduled. It has been a pleasure to work with Eichholz, and we are still looking for work to have them do, because we like them so much! I don't hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing electrical work.

These people were great! It is such a pleasure to work with people who obviously know their craft. The amount of work they did was amazing and they completely cleaned up after they were done, both outside and inside. They also came back the next day to check over all outside connections. They initially came on an emergency call from me and were here within a half hour to see why my electric was going on and off. I have been very impressed with their performance! I do not know if their costs were higher or lower than others, I did no comparisons. I wanted the problems fixed and am incredibly pleased with the work they did.
