Delmarva Repairs

Description of Work: We contacted this outfit to do some home improvements to our home. He and his girlfriend came for an estimate and we later hired them. After they picked up the deposit check, they were gone...this after assuring us that they would be returning to work. There was very little subsequent work but instead a steady stream of excuses. Finally a negligible amount of work was performed and it was time for another deposit. While reluctant, we gave these individuals the additional payment....You guessed it...another disappearing act followed by a long list of yet more excuses....after the second week, we heard nothing and they ceased returning text messages. After said week, I began issuing threats of legal action....I was then contracted by Dietrick and he informed me that he was ill....this was after the supposed completion date.....I then informed him that the contract was nullified for lack of performance. We have subsequently hired someone reputable to repair the damage done to our property by Dietrick .....faulty wiring, a poorly constructed header beam, and the clean up of a debris field in our yard....This individual asked to come back to complete the job....having seen the inferior work as well as a total lack of trust we declined.....we asked for a return of part of our deposits but Dietrick declined.....We will be filing a formal complaint with the fraud division of the Delaware Attorney General's office. We are seeking damages as well as prosecution for fraud.
