Initial contact with the office was great. Received a call from Tyler telling me exactly when he would arrive. Tyler diagnosed the problem, told me what he would need to do, then went through his book giving me the exact cost for each step. There was no pressure. I had Tyler go ahead and do the work. The price was a little more than I planned to spend, but was fair. Couldn’t be happier.

Tyler was so efficient, professional, helpful, and pleasant. What we had feared would prove to be a struggle was addressed quickly, a diagnosis was proposed, we scooted out and bought the relevant part, and Tyler was back in a jiffy to install and test it. It's been an hour since he left, and we're still smiling. Thanks for a great job.

During a recent cold snap on a Saturday I was running into issues with a pipe freezing, and while trying to resolve the issue I discovered that the screw for the access panel had been screwed right into the shower cold water line! I spoke with one plumber who didn't seem too happy that I was calling him and asked if he would be able to come out. He informed me that he had a bunch of other calls and he wasn't sure when or if he would be able to make it. No rough approximation on time, nothing. I knew with the weather it might be hard to find a plumber, so I asked him to add me to the list and I started making more calls. I called Delaware Plumbing Professionals, and I got a call back from a wonderful person in their office who was more than happy to take my call. She informed me there was a plumber out working about 10 minutes from my house, and once he was done with his job in about an hour or two he would come right over. She was clear to inform me that there would be an extra $65 charge because it was weekend, which I totally understood. I absolutely appreciated the upfront notification of the cost. When the plumber showed up, he was also polite and courteous. I showed him the issue, and we then sat down to go over the pricing. Delaware Plumbing works off a fixed price list, so he found the service, got the price, and told me exactly how much it would cost. Just like most services (electricians, plumbers, etc.) it always is more expensive than you think, but knowing upfront the cost with no hassles made the whole situation easy to handle. The work was completed shortly thereafter and it was done well, looked great, and the issue was resolved. Overall they get an A from me. I do want to make one note about price since everyone is doing DIY nowadays. In the end, I paid $350 for about 30 actual minutes of work. That is not an insignificant amount of money, and most people balk and wonder how a tradesperson can get away charging what amounts to $700/hour. A few things on that. First, there is a shortage of workers in many trades right now, so basic economics means prices will go up, not down.. Additionally, you have to take into account everything else that goes into the service - the truck, tools, training, back office support and so on. Additionally, while he spent 30 minutes at my house and only had a 10 minute drive, his next job could be 30-45 minutes away, which eats into time working on a call. Could I go out and buy pro press fittings and the tools to do the work myself? Absolutely. But in the end I'll wind up spending $1500 for tools and supplies to fix a problem that I've run into a grand total of twice in my life. Unfortunately, there are a lot of bad tradespeople out there which can make finding a good professional difficult. However, Delaware Plumbing is definitely not in that category. The staff is courteous and professional, got the work done when I needed it, and I have a 1 year warranty on the work to boot. I'm happy to give them my hard earned money for a job well done.

I found out about DPP from my business with Goldstar. The DPP tech came out, examined the old water heater and explained the options for repair vs. replacement and walked me through everything. He was very helpful. I opted to replace the old unit. The tech was very professional and did a great job. We can now actually use our soaker tub with HOT water, which we could never do before (lukewarm at best). Previous install was by a widely popular and prominent company in our area (you can probably guess which one)... the tech showed me how that company had plumbed the hot/cold lines BACKWARDS on the old hot water heater... sheeesh. I would definitely use DPP again. It cost me about two hundred dollars more than the 12.5 year-old unit that was replaced!

My experience with Delaware Plumbing Professionals (hereafter DPP) was unfortunately much different than the norm. My problem was a toilet water tank with a leaky flapper. I had a replacement part (including the refill tube), and I probably could have done it myself (despite absence of mechanical aptitude) if the toilet was not in an enclosed area making it hard to work there. It required removing the water tank, and DPP considers that a “major repair” with an automatic charge of $285. I actually like the idea of set charges for types of repairs, as it takes away any incentive to purposely work slowly to jack up the charge with an hourly rate. But in this case, I feel ripped off; this should NOT count as a major repair. I approved it anyway because I needed to get it fixed, and it took the repairman less than an hour to do. Given this experience, it is unlikely that I will use DPP again.

Toilet had a damaged seal which was replaced. The repairman was on time, professional, efficient and friendly. The office person was also pleasant. I was happy with the price and would use this company again.

Took one look at it and said we don't do repairs of those faucets but we will replace it for $1000. I have never heard of a plumber that would not fix plumbing. Still charged me $20 to come out, to tell me they don't do basic plumbing. It is a simple gasket change that I would have done if I had the tools. Unbelievable. UPDATE: Disassembled the faucet myself and took the parts to Home Depot. Found a repair kit for $49 by measuring the size of the gaskets. Brought it home and did the repair work myself in about 2 hours. It was not a difficult job nor was it more complicated than it appeared.

The installation went smoothly. The technician, Tyler was on time and the job took about 2 hours. Tyler used booties while working in our house and cleaned up the area of the basement where he was working. Tyler explained the use and warranty of the system. We were very happy with the results and would hire this company again in the future.

A pipe had sprung a leak in Basement. Called Monday at 7:29 AM and reached the answering service. Left a message. Got return call at 7:36 am, Scheduled service. Guy doing actual repair called me at 8:35 am said he was on his way and would take about 20 minutes. Got here in about that time (didn't keep track). He assessed, fixed and left in about 45 minutes (estimated). Not commenting on cost because I don't really know what costs for different things should be. I expect plumbing and HVAC visits to always cost a lot. Was exactly what I was looking for. would use again.

This company is fantastic. I had a leaky pipe and called Delaware Plumbing Professionals to see how fast I could be seen. I was very happy when they told me that they could be out that day. When the they came out to fix my situation no matter how busy the plumber was he made me feel as if I was the only customer. Tyler took the time out to explain everything to me as well as asking me if I had any questions. I felt very satisfied with the job that was performed along with a very reasonable price. if your looking for great work along with a great price this is the company that you want.
