+ -1 moreJust wanted to acknowledge the techs, especially Matt, from Calvert Commercial HVAC, for diagnosing what the issue was with the salon HVAC unit and repairing same. The hole was caused by the wire laying on top of the copper tubing, and as you can see the wire's sheathing was missing. Hole repaired, wire repaired, salon now toasty again. It always pays to get a second opinion. Once again, thanks Matt and Rich, for a job well done.

I knew I was in trouble (slow leak every since I bought the house) and freon was gone:( . I made a call after your recomendation to A-1 and they were here in hours -on a week-end ! After giving the TECH the info he got right to it. Big Happy, Huge praises for these guys! I am going to update my out dated system with A-1.

Description of Work: I signed up for a 1 year maintenance plan and they sent a technician to my house the next day (6/16/17). The technician did not perform his maintenance duties; in fact, he may have purposely caused an issue which would have required a service call. After he re-wired the system to 'get me through the weekend', I had to contact their office on the following Monday, and they sent out their field supervisor, who then fixed a 'disconnected wire', increased the flow rate of the unit, and then told me it would be a good idea to have the duct work cleaned and sealed ($3700). I said that it sounded good, and scheduled the work to be done on July 3, 2017. After perusing different HVAC sites, talking to a couple of references and reviewing the work that had just been done, I decided that I did not want 1 hour HVAC to do any work inside or outside my house. I called their office and cancelled my maintenance plan, as well as the upcoming scheduled work. Now I was told that it would take 4 - 6 weeks for my money to be refunded! And I found out that they have a third party (Direct Energy), providing the maintenance contract! They were paid on the spot to start my maintenance plan, why can't they refund my money in a timely fashion as well? This is unacceptable. Poor work ethic and dishonest people led me to cancel this relationship - now I demand my money back. They did nothing to warrant or support any part of maintenance. If the technicians did not understand my system, why did they attempt to 'service' it/perform any type of maintenance on it?

+ -1 moreAmazing experience! The salesman (Alex Cox) was extremely polite and professional. He was more interested in getting us the product we needed than selling us as much as he could. Even after the sale was made, he stayed in contact through the installation process to make sure we were satisfied. The installation team did a great job too. Professional, hard-working and very knowledgeable. They spent extra time making sure it was right and even widened the duct leading from the unit to improve airflow, at no extra charge. I would highly recommend One Hour not only for the great service, but we are very happy with the equipment and the price we paid for it!

+ -1 moreSetting up an appointment was easy and the salesman that came to the house was very friendly and professional. He was also very thorough and spent about 90 minutes with us. He gave us a lot of information about the units, the company, the service and answered questions we had. It seemed like the company was reputable and the services would be reasonable. We opted not to go with this company for cost. The quote we received was about $3000 more than another quote we received, for equipment that was not as superior. This is a large company so they must have a lot more overhead costs. But again, the gentleman was very nice and I think this company could be good to look into if you are shopping around.

Poor guy walked into a buzz saw when he told me my Calvert Warranty was done and would not be honored, under new ownership of One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning. Bought the a Trane Gas Furnace and AC in 2012. Signed up for their Diamond Club (for new installs only), which at $20.95 month, gave me a 15 year parts and labor warranty. "All covered, piece of mind, buy your system from us and maintain your service plan." Now that they have "merged" with One Hour, the service tech is telling me I have to change my plan to a $26.99/mo. plan that gives me $500 per incident credit up to $2000/yr. So I lose my 15 year parts and labor warranty, and when my blower warranty goes after year 5 under Trane's warranty, anything over $500 I have to pay. The rub is that I went with them and they sold me on this protection. It was 3 years better than Horizon's, and they touted that. So while Calvert names still exists, they should honor their agreements.

Went above and beyond when 18 SEER unit installed was found with a problem that could not be resolved the manufacturer upgraded to a 21 SEER unit at no additional cost and no hassle. Calvert installers were very knowledgeable and made sure everything was okay with the new unit and that I understood how to operate the thermostat. Would highly recommend both.

+ -1 moreI had a major issue with a Viessmann Modulating boiler. I called at least 3 companies to come out and try to fix it . Calvert was the only one that had the expertise to try get it working. That Boiler did not make it through the winter it was already too far broken to ever work properly. Buyer beware of Viessmann make sure you purchase from someone who services what they sell and have been trained on Viessmann equipment. When it came time to replace the Boiler one of 3 contracted I called was Calvert. I had a previously abandoned Oil Boiler still in place that is what I replaced. The sales rep was very professional and knew exactly what I wanted and did not try to sell more then that. I had two very similar quotes but I choose Calvert because previous experiences with them I knew they would install it correctly which is important. The work was done on time and with excellent communication. I would recommend them again. I went with a Weil-Mclain as all I wanted was a reputable boiler to get my baseboard water to 180 degrees. Through my first winter the boier has been efficient and reliable. Calvert did an excellent job installing and getting it running.

He found that we needed to replace the filter in our humidifier, which I had not known and he showed me how to remove the old filter. He showed me debris which he had found and explained that we needed a chimney cap and told me where to buy one.
Description of Work: I bought a coupon to have my furnace tuned up. I called to schedule the service, and someone from Calvert came to check my furnace.
