It was wonderful. Shawn found a leak in my exhaust pipe from the furnace that had not been detected by another company for years. Their rates were competitive, their service top notch and professional, and I will continue to use them in the future.

Our 15 year old Trane heat pump wasn?t working properly anymore I called Summit Heating and A/C to come out and check it out. It was shot and wasn?t economically feasible to repair the old unit. They gave me an honest cost to replace it. I contacted some competitive companies that were much higher in price, so I went with Summit. The technicians arrived as scheduled for 9 Am and started promptly. The laid down several drop cloths to protect my tile flooring and carpeted areas. They worked on the replacement for six hours and the unit runs great. The replacement unit is a Bryant pump unit outside and a Carrier air handler in the attic. It comes with a 10 year parts warranty and a 1 year labor warranty. A 5 year and 10 year labor warranty is available at a nominal fee. The work was done professionally and quietly. The techs were very professional and courteous. I was overall, very pleased with the whole experience and would definitely recommend them to anyone one else needing this type of work done. Another note, the Bryant and Carrier systems are made here in the USA and other units are not; you may want to check this before committing to other brands.

A pleasure to do business with. I initially contacted Summit after several failed attempts from other companies to fix our home hvac system. Our home like many in the area provided alot of challenges from the start due to shoddy builder work. Dwayne and Shawn took their time to thoroughly assess my particular problems and come up with the proper resolutions instead of just getting the quick fix and out the door. They never once made me feel like they were in a rush and took alot of time to answer any questions and actually help me understand exactly what we could do to maximize the performance in my home. I found them to be very upfront and honest from start to finish, their price was more than fair, and I was amazed at how responsive and polite their office was during the process. When my new system was installed, their guys were on time, polite, and took their time and did a great job. At one point afterward I had some questions and Dwayne and Shawn were at my home in 15 minutes to help me, and I have every confidence if I run into any problems or have any questions in the future they will be there to help. My energy bills are down, the system is running fantastic, and for the first time in 6 years the home is being heated and cooled properly, something I wasn't sure would ever happen after so many failed attempts by others in the past. I normally don't take the time to write online reviews but in this case I felt the service was worthy of acknowledging.

We moved into our house only to find out that the gas furnace would shut off after running for an hour. We were told by an HVAC technician sent by the home warranty insurance company that we would have to install a completely new furnace at a cost of over $6000. I was lucky to contact Summit - a very experienced HVAC guy was sent the same afternoon that I called. He said that the heat exchanger would be covered by the lifetime factory warranty and that he could replace the "guts" of the furnace for $1700. Work was completed as soon as the parts came in, and now we have essentially a new furnace. I couldn't be more satisfied with an HVAC contractor, and I would definitely hire them for all future work.

They were out here right away and finished same day. The Tech they sent us was the #2 tech in our area. I was extremely happy.

The service was very good. They came out on a Saturday really quickly when the heater stopped running. The price wasn't bad; it included the part and installation and the service call. The guy was easy to talk to and he answered my questions. It was a very nice experience.

They came because we have a warranty with the residential MD. Summit came and did the work before talking to me, and then charged me money. He then talked to the people at the home warranty, and so did I, and then he dropped the charges, but then I noticed that he has written on the invoice, that I refused to pay and that is why it was dropped.

Contacted the provider for routine maintenance on gas furnace. Provider immediately identified there was a cracked heat exchanger and recommended that the heater not be used due to risk of carbon monoxide. Provider gave price quote to replace furnace or replace the heat exchanger which was still under warranty. Decided to replace heat exchanger since it was 20 - 25% of the cost of a new furnace. Provider is very professional and does quality work. Have used them in the past for other minor HVAC issues.

Replaced heater, installed a new humidifier on heater unit and repaired a kinked coolant line to the air conditioner.

The gentleman was prompt and to the point with the problem. He gave the resolution and price. Great service by great people. Prompt and reliable service in our opinion. The service tech didn't seem to try and sell us something we didn't want. His focus was only on fixing our issue and preventing breakdowns in the future, which we prefer.

Zero issues, would used them again in a heart beat

I was lucky to find Summit in Townsend, DE through NATE (North American Technician Excellence, www.natex.org) when the compressor our heat pump died suddenly less than 6 years after it was installed at the time the house was built by the previous owners. I contacted at least a half dozen contractors online on Saturday and Summit was one of three to respond at all over the weekend. Dwayne actually called on Sunday. After a lengthy discussion of the options for repair or replacement on the phone, I could tell the Dwayne really knew his business ( I have a degree in Engineering Technology and took a course in HVAC design). Dwayne came to our house on Monday and made a thorough assessment of the existing equipment. He treated my wife with respect, and of the 5 contractors that came to bid, he provided by the most complete and comprehensive quote. I decided to go with Summit before most of the bids were in. Summit has been exceptional in every way. They are clearly customer focused and doing the right thing in every aspect of their business. I've been extremely impressed with their technical knowledge and obvious attention to detail and quality of customer service. Everyone at Summit has been extremely responsive and helpful. They jumped through hoops to help us get an Energize Delaware Loan so we could afford to replace the system. (We've been hit hard economically the past three years and are down to fumes). As it turned out we ended up replacing both the dead heat pump and furnace to qualify for the Energize Delaware Loan and Rebate. That turned a nasty negative cash flow hit, $4000 out of pocket cost into a $90/mo low interest loan payment with $4000 cash rebate. Summit had to cover their upfront costs until the loan company released the funds after the work was done. It took a lot longer than expected for them to get paid and we're still "friends". Summit was competitive on price and clearly every effort was made to provide the highest quality solution at the lowest possible cost to us while still being able to make enough to sustain their business. I was the one doing the up-selling on the project. I learned years ago that quality of work and quality of service is paramount when it comes to hiring any contractor. I did a huge amount of research online and asked a lot of questions while deciding what to do and who to go with when it came to this project. One of the most important things I learned is the quality of the installation is the most important part of any HVAC installation. It doesn't matter how good the equipment is if the installation is shoddy. The installation went smoothly. The workmanship excellent. Only one minor issue that was quickly resolved. Customer service has been A+++ Needless to say, I carry their business cards and sing their praises to anyone needing an HVAC contractor.
