G Fedale General Contractors LLC

There was a lot of research that went into choosing a contractor for our roof. We had people come out to our home for 2+ hour appointments doing a hard sell on extremely expensive roofing jobs (as in 25K+) and honestly that just made us angry (the invasion of our home for many hours not the price). We had small local groups that quoted us as low as 5k for this job but they weren't necessarily licensed properly and they weren't backed by a strong company name so that made us nervous. A friend recommended G Fedale and we couldn't have been happier. The estimate was given with all of the information we needed but without a super hard sell and a several hour presentation for the job. The pricing they quoted us was really straight down the middle of all the estimates we got. While we could have gotten the work done for less, I think that we got a really excellent price for the quality of work that was done. When additional problems were found with our roof (the damaged rafters) I was informed of the problem and I was able to decide how I wanted to proceed rather than have them make a decision and hand me a higher bill at the end of it. I was given a deal on some higher quality plywood at a reduced cost which was a nice opportunity. In the end the work was done quickly (just a couple of days for everything) and cleanly. A manager came back out to our house after all the work was complete and checked up on how the work had been done and how happy we were with the results. It's nice to see that the managers of this company are taking that step to ensure the quality of their work. I gave a rating of a B on price only because you CAN technically get work done for less money than G Fedale charges, but I do believe that they deliver the quality that their prices demand. So in the end it's worth it if you can afford it.

Thrilled with job! 1. Tech added insulation "Batting" to a common wall in our crawl space on first floor to eliminate a problem we were having in a second floor bedroom. That room was too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter. My wife and I notice a big difference already. This was the main reason we contacted G Fedale General Contractors LLC. 2. Being that we were entitled to one additional bag of insulation, we took the Tech's suggestion and had him blow-in insulation in our attic. We live in a townhouse so the attic is not that large; however, the one bag of insulation that was used covered at least 1/2 the attic space. We may have G Fedale General Contractors come back in the spring to do the other half of the attic. Job was well done and $99.00 was quite a deal.

Angies Deal for $99 included two bags of insulation. A third bag was needed for an additional cost of $250. Two men did the job very well and cleaned up. A Certificate was provided confirming the R-25 rating. Good selling point when selling the house.

We needed a new roof. Fedale was responsive to our initial call. They came out, reviewed the condition of our existing roof, and gave us pricing options. The work was completed quickly, and they cleaned up after themselves. We have not had any problems with the quality of the work. We're happy customers.

The house is practically new so that is basically all I needed him to do and it was fine. Everything went fine. It worked out right. I'm glad he did it because I had a lot of wasp during the summer and I will have to pay somebody to do it for me anyway so that's what I asked him to do. I didn't have a problem with him at all.

Weather was terrible,cold, breezy,but all the installers did their jobs well!

Fedale solved an issue for us that other roofers could not. They did everything they promised and were always on-time. Their final bill was less than the original estimate and they even returned to scour our yard and driveway for debris. They also performed a final inspection and provided us with two written guarantees one of which included labor. We made the right choice!

They were reliable and thorough. It took about a week to complete the job and there were 4 crew members. They arrived every day on time and everything went well. I am satisfied with their work.

I would not recommend G. Fedale. I called them to fix a leaking dormer. I chose to have Fedale replace the entire roof to ensure the issue was resolved completely. Despite having my entire roof replaced, the original issue of a leaking dormer was not initially resolved. It is now November 2013 and, after countless visits to fix the leaking dormer (over an 18 month time period), we think it may have finally been resolved.

We have not had any leaks since.

They did a great job at a reasonable price. Cleaned up constantly. Would definitely recommend them.

A YEAR EARLIER THE ESTIMATE WAS MORE THAN $2000 LESS. THEY PRESENT THEMSELVES WELL TO GET THE JOB AND THEN THEY LEAVE THE JOB SITE MOSTLY UNSUPERVISED AND LESS EXPERIENCED WORKERS DO THE JOB.

Job went fine. Gentleman who performed duties seemed surprised that caulking was needed on a home that was only about 13 years old . Job was done quickly and neatly but mostly was a touch up. No complaints at all.

The contract was signed approximately four weeks before the work was performed, although the contract indicated that the work would be completed within two weeks. Rain was part of the problem, but not every day was rainy. Due to a previous commitment that would keep me from my home for several days, I requested the work to be done on one of two days remaining in the second week. The materials and dumpster were delivered, but the work was not done. After three days of materials in my yard, I had to ask that the materials and dumpster be removed from my property until there was a more firm day of job completion. On the next scheduled day the materials and dumpster were delivered, but again, no workers. Finally, the next day, the workers arrived, an hour and a half after scheduled time. English was not the language of communication with any of the workers. No one checked at the door to advise us that they were beginning the work. Old shingles rained down on my landscaping as well as that of my neighbors. The job supervisor never came to my door to comment on what work was being done, or what we could expect of the work and/or the workers. The work was not finished the first day, so workers were scheduled to return the next day. The workers arrived almost three hours after the scheduled start time. Once the work was done, the clean-up was done, and the remaining materials were removed. However, the workers did not indicate that they were finished, they just disappeared. There was some damage to the gutter of my adjacent neighbor's garage which needed to be repaired. One of the original, non-English-speaking workers came to fix the problem, but his work was not acceptable. Finally, a representative of the company came for a final inspection. This gentleman listened to my concerns, and arranged for my neighbor's garage to be repaired. The remaining old shingles that were still on the property were removed by the company representative. y

They weren't punctual and because he was late I did not get my full time of the Big Deal. What work he did do was fine but it was annoying that he couldn't finish the project because he was late. The project was to winterize my windows.

Couple of things went wrong - First we asked the service provider to give us pictures of before and after they have done the work, so we can understand what work was done. They roof specialist nodded his head for everything and so far hasn't sent it yet - Next we asked the "again The professional" to check the attic space. He never entered the attic but just standing on small ladder & using a flashlight he said everything is good The whole thing was completed in under 30 mins, till date not sure what work was performed.

It was okay. I did have some challenges in getting the person to show up but otherwise, they were good. I got the service. What happened was a couple of time they scheduled and nobody showed up. Otherwise, once they were here, they did a good job.

I requested a quote and I'm still waiting for it despite repeated attempts via email to get a quote. They responded quick enough to schedule an appointment to look at the potential job, but never followed-through on the quote. I will not even consider Fedale for my roofing project.

The appointment was scheduled in advance, the guys were punctual. The caulking on the exterior was done but it seemed the guys were in a hurry to complete it. The time was for up to 2 hours but it was done within 70 minutes. Few days I had a friend come over and he showed me couple of spots in the rear of the house where there was no caulking done.

The experience was fair to average. They did average work. The problems overrode the good work. The salesman and foreman were not synchronized on what the salesman sold us. he sold us a product that did not do what it was suppose to do. The project took longer then it was suppose to because they messed up the roof vent and had to redo that. There were a serious of numerous problems. The price is higher then others.

They were fine. They were pleasant. It was a short visit maybe only for about 30 minutes. They came and looked at a few things and left. They were fairly priced.

Didn't feel that the workman wanted or cared about being at my home.

Everything went very well. The service was completed on time (slightly late but weather was of issue) and under budget. The personnel were professional and courteous.

They came out a day or two after I called and gave me an estimate. We then scheduled a date to have the work completed. They came out, did the work, cleaned up, called to see if any problems, then sent the bill. Very professional, honest and courteous.
