Kulhanek's Appliance Repair

We noticed stuff melting in our freezer about 2 weeks ago. There was a huge buildup of ice on the back panel of the freezer. We manually defrosted the fridge/freezer and then turned it back on once the ice was gone. It worked fine for about 10 days and then the temperature started rising again. Ice was built up in the back again so we manually defrosted it one more time and then called Kulhanek's. I got their VM when I called and left a detailed message around lunchtime. They returned my call 5 minutes later. The woman to whom I spoke was very helpful and courteous. She told me it was probably a simple repair and her husband would most likely have the part I needed on his truck. They were willing to schedule me for the next day but I asked to have a Friday appointment since I was in no hurry because the fridge/freezer was working for now. She scheduled the appointment for some time between 12 and 2. The repairman (and owner) showed up around 12:30. He asked for the details of the problem and got to work. Unfortunately I failed to empty the freezer before he got here but he took care of that without complaint. He removed the offending thermostat and took it out to his truck to test it. After confirming it was a bad thermostat he replaced it with a new one, closed up the freezer, and even reloaded it for me. All in all, a very good experience and I would be happy to recommend them to anyone.
