Service Today

Refrigerant didn't last a week. Call them out again. Second repair man tells me it won't hold refrigerant. Charges me again. They automatically include a $39 charge for a fuel surcharge. Even when they were in the neighborhood.

They bought another business that I had done work with for many years. I was quite pleased with them, because they finished sooner than normal. They were diligent, they had to order a part for me, and I paid for overnight shipping, and when it didn't come the next day, and they had to install it for me, they refunded me my money. I was quite pleased with the experience. I was especially happy to see that the guy who came out had been to the house before. I was happy to see that they had kept the folks that were working there previously.

Service Today's response for information on this type of system was prompt and a representative scheduled an appointment right away. The rep was very professional and knowledgeable. I had two other companies come in to give me bids and they had suggestions that made more sense, the Service Today rep embraced these with no problem, even though they were not his own ideas. Do to an over run on a previous job, my install was delayed one day, but proceeded quickly and was done expertly. The installers were experienced and had complete command of what they needed to do. I especially appreciated the fact that they were careful not to let my cats get out once I told them that they were indoor only cats. I am more than satisfied with all the work done.

The are good compared to other companies i have used for heat pump service.

Yesterday morning when we got up we noticed that the HVAC unit outside the house was running but very little air conditioning was happening. I decided to call a repair service. My boss had a similar problem a few weeks ago so I called him to ask who he used. He said "Service Today." I never heard of this company but took his recommendation. I called to make an appointment and was told "someone would be out in the afternoon." Much to our pleasant surprise, when we returned from Rehoboth the service truck was waiting for us in our driveway, less than an hour after I called. This company is appropriately names "Service Today." I went around to the side of the house where my HVAC air conditioning unit is located and found the serviceman, "Frank", had already repaired the unit. He said it was a bad capacitor. He replaced the capacitor. The total charge was: Labor 10:08 am to 10:53 am@ $150 per hour, one hour minimum 3/4 hours = $150.00 Dispatch & Fuel Fee= 28.82 For a total charge of $178.82 The serviceman accepted my Discover card as payment. He was professional, friendly and efficient. I will definitely use this company again. In fact, I have arranged to have a service agreement with them for any future problems in my house.

I am skeptical about their validity. I want a second opinion because they just quoted me $1800.00 for a coil in my 5 year old A/C unit.

They're excellent. They respond within an hour. We've had to call them on the weekend. They're excellent.

Great company. Last year on the Friday of Memorial Day weekend I couldn't get anyone to help with my refrigerator and dishwasher install. I called at noon and a service tech came by that night and completed the install. I have used them several times since and every time they are prompt, professional, and a pleasure to do business with. I have called several times with repairs and each time they are able to come by the same day and fix it. They also do repairs while I am away. Very good company and I highly recommend them.

Service Today returned my phone call promptly to discuss my HVAC replacement project needs. I asked for an approximate price based on what I already knew about the size of the system that had to be replaced and the lines. I indicated I did not want to waste their time (or mine) to have them provide an onsite estimate if their price was more than I was willing to spend (that had happened with a few other HVAC companies). When asked, I told the representative on the phone what I felt was a fair price and my budget. He chastised me, saying that I was not going to get a replacement system installed within my budget - that they would not even consider my budget as it was far too low. So, I thanked him for his time and said I would keep looking because I was certain I could find a fair and talented company within my budget. And then he gave me the classic tired relic "little lady" warning: "Let me just tell you, no one reputable will do the work for that price and in this business, you get what you pay for." This unwelcome bit was delivered in that condescending voice some of us know all too well. Truly, there is nothing more insulting to a woman than to be given the "little lady" talking down to. In the end, I hired a better company within my budget that did a fabulous job with the same warranties. And they treated me with respect.

They were the most reasonable of three estimates and they did an excellent job. They wore hoodies and I was impressed with that. They came when they were supposed to and their price, quality, and service was excellent. They charged me $3400 for the heat pumps and I had gotten two other estimates in the $5000 range for the same product.

I came home one Monday afternoon in early February to find that my heater would not come on. We had just recently used Service Today for a plumbing problem and were very satisfied so I called them again. It was about 4:45 pm when I called and there was a technician here by 6:00 pm. Unfortunately, our 21 year old heater was not to be saved so the tech made a phone call and a salesman was at my door by 8:00 am on Tuesday. Before he left Monday night, the tech offered to go home and return with 3 of his own space heaters for us to borrow. I was able to decline his kind offer but really appreciated his concern. When the salesman came on Tuesday morning we had already decided to also replace our 21 year old air conditioner. Although we were able to keep the house comfortable with our radiator type space heaters, we didn't feel that we had much time to shop around for price. I did have a chance to do some research on line the night before though and felt that the price that we were offered was probably pretty competitive. By 7:15 the next morning, Wednesday, there were two installers here who worked continuously and efficiently throughout the day. By 5:30 that evening, we had a whole new heating and air conditioning system up and running. They also did a great job of cleaning up the area before they left. The next morning I called customer service because I could smell an occasion whiff of gas. A technician came out immediately, made a small adjustment to the furnace and fixed the problem. Even though I had not asked them to , the company kindly billed my credit card in two installments. They even credited me for the full amount that I had paid for the service call that first night. Everyone that I had any contact with was very kind, courteous and efficient. Overall it was a very pleasant experience and I would recommend Service Today to anyone.

Jack from Service Today provided a quote and different options for me to consider. Once I determined the best option for me the service gentleman, scheduled the date of my choosing and the service technicans where prompt and professional and cleaned up afterward. OK job, rush to get it done in one day, required shortcuts. Had to redo a/c compressor foundation. Had to redo booster fan installation, could still have been done better. Connection of furnace to plenum works but could have been done better.

We first began using Service Today about 5 years ago and have been satisfied since. Our service man is Dana and he is always pleasant and thorough. I trust his work and he has never let us down.

Quick response. Clean work in the time frame promised.

They took over a month to resolve my issue and the whole (inaudible 52:6) was supposed to be covered by my warrantee. They ( inaudible 56:0) a cord out of one of my units after I had a conversation with the overall service manager, Randy. He said that they would take care of me and I saw no fewer than four technicians during that time frame. It is not Service Today, it is Maybe On Time Next Week! The last two technicians that came out, they verified that everything was good covered under warrantee. The bottom line is that we got a bill in the mail a month afterwards for $3000. And I called up and said what about our conversation that we had, and also mind the fact that your technicians said they can't do the service until they verified I discovered about the warrantee. And they did slow and postpone the service. So the company still insisted that we hold them and we got harassed for two years with phone calls. I will never ever use them again. We tried to get hold of the owner to let him know what was going on, and he would not return phone calls. We never spent money with them, we were under warranty. They had actually purchased service contracts from a previous provider that sold the company and I think the owner of Service Today actually was involved with the previous provider. And the bottom line is they didn't honor the commitment. The only silver lining in their company is that most of their technicians tried to communicate and resolved the issue. But their overall management was not willing to help.

I have a service contract. They are great. They do a fantastic job; I have never had any complaints about them.

I signed a service agreement with them. I did not like their services. I like that they are dependable. They were messy. They did not clean up after themselves. They did not put the unit back together. Their prices are reasonable. I grade them a B overall. I will continue to use them for their pricing, and because I know how to put things back together.

We only deal with one person over there because he had his own company before and then he went into service today, so we have always used the same person. His name is Castle Forsel. We were very pleased with him.

I was happy with their service. They fixed the air conditioner and there was no problem. The technician was very courteous and reasonably priced. It was a difficult time for this are because half of Delaware lost its power, and it was a terrible heat wave. They were really very accommodating because I was back and forth to New York and they just worked around my schedule even though they were busy. They were running the trucks 24/7 but they just did their best to help me out. When they did come, they were honest about what was wrong. It wasn’t the whole unit, it was just the motor. They could have told me anything and I wouldn’t have known the difference.

Our A/C stopped blowing cool air at 6pm on Sunday the 25th of July, 2011. Service Today had installed our unit 5 years ago so we called them. We called and told them the problem. About an hour later a repairman returned our call and told us he could come out immediatly but it would be a $220.50 charge. I did appreciate being informed of that. We choose to wait until Monday. I made a follow up call to the main office on Monday and spoke to Kelly. There was a wait on "hold" but when Kelly came on the line she was friendly and professional. She asked specific questions and told me there would be someone coming that morning. About an hour later a repairman (John) called to say he was on the way. It's so nice when they call ahead,....we have 3 dogs to wrangle in the bedroom before we open the door. My husband went out through the garage to lead John to the compressor and after a few minutes the problem was diagnosed as a compassitor problem. The part was in John's truck and installed. He went to his truck to prepare the bill and when he came inside he had shoe protectors on. Very nice person. Explained the bill and was on his way. Thank you Service Today. We were very relieved to have our A/C back.
