Description of Work: Service Today installed a new air conditioner and furnace. They did an outstanding job. Since my old AC had died on me, they spent 11 hours at my house and had the entire job completed in one day.

Description of Work: Repaced 3 faucets and line. All of whih was provided by us to them. |Job took less then 1/2 hr. No complins except exceptionally high cost.

Description of Work: Our heat was not working. A technician came out the same day. It was determined that e needed a new heat pack. Two hours later a sales person arrived and walked me through all the details. Two days later the new unit was installed. Just in time for Thanksgiving. Great service!

Description of Work: Installed a new Trane Heat Pump and air handler with a Honeywell internet thermometer. All old equipment was removed and hauled away. We were very pleased with the new equipment as well as the professionalism of all the installers.

Description of Work: We were visiting our son in Felton, DE. When we arrived on Friday May 25 we all noticed the A/C was not cooling properly. It was in the over 90 degrees for the next three days. This is a three year old unit in new construction but hadn't been used much. Our son purchased the home in January and had a warranty with AHS. The first company AHS sent out shut the unit down since it had froze, told us it would take 24 hours before the unit thawed. Well it took only about an hour and it needed freeon. Instead of the technician waiting on Monday (the earliest AHS could get someone to come out), he left. He mentioned he didn't know why their company was dispatched since they were so far from Felton and he would have to see about coming out tomorrow. The technician said someone would call us tomorrow. Of course noone did phone and we had to start from square one. Once again letting AHS know what happened and this is an emergency because of my husband having a heart condition. By the next day I let them know I wasn't happy with their service and they referred me to a case manager. The case manager approved we could call our own company. The search was on with everyone needing A/C service. We paid to get into Angie's list and were able to find a company that would service the same day - Hence "Service Today" ! The technician added Freeon, fixed some burned wires and another part within an hour. We are so grateful that we found this company through Angie's list otherwise the earliest any other company could come out was next week! Price is secondary in an emergency situation! Description of Work: We had one whole air conditioning/heat unit replace - both the outside unit and the unit in the attic. (We have another unit for the downstairs which will need this in the near future. ) We were very pleased with the service and responsiveness from Service Today. I called and they came the same day. Then they sent a salesperson to come to give an estimate. Although we were shell shocked by the price ... in checking around, they were comparable for what we needed. They arrived in a very timely manner for the install and although we had one minor issue following, they came right away and fixed it. We are very pleased with the unit and the service we recieved.

Description of Work: On the hottest two days of the summer our airconditioning failed. Delmarva Power in the spring, had suggested - and we had agreed to - attach a wireless controlled cycling device. This, Delmarva said would save us money and help avoid the possibility of a brownout for the local area. However, on the hottest weekend of the summer the temperature in our house would not fall below 95 degrees, We discovered that the compressor, having been turned off by the cycling device, had never restarted, the fan had remained on and hot air poured out of the registers. We called Delmarva, received no help except the suggestion that we call an airconditioning company and have them remove the cycling device. The Service Today technician arrived within a very short time after our call, removed the device, removed and replaced the motor which had burned out under stress. and cleaned and serviced the unit. We are very appreciative of their timely help. We now have a contract with Service Today and feel very confident of their help in the future.

Description of Work: On November 3, our Carrier heating system failed. We checked with Angie's List, called your recommended heating and cooling company, Service Today, and true to their name, their service person arrived within a couple of hours. He diagnosed the problem, which was a faulty inducer. Six days later he returned to to repair the service. All is now well. We had not had any occasion to need repair previously. We now know who to call when we are in trouble - Service Today. Many thanks to Angie's List for the recommendation.
