The claimed to have fertilized and pre-emergence my lawn. Do not know where they went wrong but as soon as the technician left the grass turned brown. I contacted them and uploaded pictures and they are claiming that it is heat stress and fungus. My grass was green when they came over to analyze and was informed it only needed some weed control. Now they want to charge me $195.00 to correct the issue they seem to have caused. I had a staff member email me stating that pre-emergence treatment does not cause the grass to turn, well than the question is "what did you apply to the grass?" That answer cannot be given by any of them because they were not at the premises applying the treatment. You would think that they would correct the problem but they do not have the honor to make things right!!!

They tore up the lawn. Killed plants. Left debris around. Drilled holes in walls and didn't repair them. Dug through our walkway and left it. Put 3 (that we are currently aware of) sprinklers in the leach field. Which is against DNREC code 5.5.4.1 That states ...there shall be no lawn irrigating systems installed over the absorption facility when the absorption facility is active, without our knowledge or permission. Pulled out our driveway lights put most back but not where they were and other set aside in containers. Said they were going to leave the lawn as they found it and rake and seed. They did not. They only seeded where they put the two boxes in the ground. They left voids in the ground that are still there over a month later. They said it would be done in 2 days, it took 3. They showed up late and left early. Average was 10-3. They took out the screen to the basement entry, left it unlocked and left the screen on side of house. They didn't give us a manual or go over the system with us. I had to ask repeatedly for one and then weeks later gave me a manual to a system that is not the one they installed, saying they were close enough. The electric has been blowing out when sprinklers come on, we had to replace the gfi repeatedly. They tried to charge again for a pump that was part of the contract. Only time owner came out was to make sale, not once to check the work or resolve repeated stated issues. They are unconsciencious and do shoddy work

Bad. Irrigation was ok. Lawn seeding, fertilizing and weed killer was a disaster as was the Landscaping. Customer service doesn't exist. After 1 year I hired Fox Landscaping to remove all of the unwanted weeds and grasses from the landscape beds. He also put down a pre-emergent and weed killer and covered with 3 inches of mulch. He did an excellent job. Compare pictures below taken 1 month after both were dune. Attached is also a photo of the lawn overrun with crabgrass. R & L had tried three times to kill the crabgrass. He wanted a 4th try at it but I told him that I didn't want him putting any more chemicals on my lawn. The first 2 photos were taken 1 month after R & L"s installation. The last 2 photos were taken 1 month after Fox Landscaping work. You can make your own judgement.

Slow, workers didn't show up and planted a half dead tree. Promises he did not deliver.

Contract signed April 19 for spring planting. Project was not installed until June 15 due to weekly excuses from R&L. Sloppy work, unfinished project (walked away when issues continued), poor customer service (owner denied over-watering was his problem even though R&L installed drip line and set the watering schedule for 1/2 hr. every day for 2 weeks). Plants, trees and shrubs were of excellent quality but suffered from poor installation (some died). Foreman was not in control of project and was unfamiliar with planting design which existed only in owner's head and owner was not on-site to supervise; owner did not return to review the project until issues arose approximately 10 days after installation and did not show up until 2 weeks later. We told owner what the problem was and asked him to disengage the automatic watering system. He said he was not responsible for the dead grass which resulted from an over-watering schedule and system R&L installed. I filed a complaint with BBB and reply from R&L was inconsistent from the facts. Another project performed by R&L, a paver patio, was installed prior to landscapiing and has yet to be completed (as of 8/25). R&L gave us a bag of sand and told us to finish it ourselves.

I chose to use a lawn service this year because my beautiful blue grass, sod lawn has been having major issues with invasive grasses, with a bit of fungus and broadleaf weeds. My biggest problems were invasive grasses and grass-like weeds and the owner who visited and sold me the service said his special treatments would take care of the problem. The service has been generally timely and good but my invasive grass problems have gotten worse and the overall condition of the lawn beside the grass problem is only marginally better than when I did the treatments myself. I asked to talk to the owner about the situation but rather than talk to me, he sent out a technician to take pictures and apply additional chemicals. With still no improvement, I asked to talk to the owner again and got no response. The office said he was too busy getting new customers. The technician seems like a nice guy and so do the office staff. They seem like they are trying but I'm not getting what was promised. Perhaps they just don't have the knowledge or equipment or over-promised. I had great hopes from this company but am getting little results in my lawn and that has to be the measure of a lawn service. Its pretty hard to work it out with a company where the owner will not talk to you after the sale. I do not plan to renew my contract with them at this point.

This is a small family owned business of lawn services. They (the mom) always calls me about a week before the service to tell me when they are arriving. They arrived on time and applied the fertilizer to my lawn, which is about 3/4's of an acre. I've been using R and L for several years because I noticed how well my next door neighbor's lawn was compared to mine and he was paying about half the price I was paying for my then (Lawns Unlimited) lawn service. I made the switch at that time and have been very pleased ever since.

It turned out we could not be here. When they did the work they did an excellent job and billed us.

We trust Ricky to tell us the best solution to our problems and never offers a service he doesn't think we need. He is extremely knowledgeable about drainage and flooding issues and you can trust him with your jobs. He offers other services besides irrigation such as stone patios, walkways, etc. as well as lawn service and landscaping He is and his crew are skilled in all of these jobs. We trust his advice completely because he has proven he knows his stuff. He will soon be doing reseeding of our 2 acre property. We have been extremely satisfied with all the jobs he's done and have already recommended his services to our friends. He shows up on time, finishes the job as promised and always offers a competitive price for his work.

I would certainly recommend them. I would continue to use them in the future.
