The local telephone book had an expired coupon advertising their services at $ 99.00. When the person came he quoted the price of $ 360 which was nothing short of a rip off. We paid $ 49.95 for a visit and declined their services.

We called Peninsula the day before Xmas and they came immediately and started to do the repair. Finally found that the furnace was not repairable and so we made arrangements to have a new one installed. The same day, they removed the old furnace which had to be taken out in pieces. Not an easy job! Day after Xmas they started the install and two days later we had a new furnace plus cooling capabilities. We are very pleased with the work. The employees were the best. The working conditions were not great because this furnace was in the cellar and the entrance was not an easy one to access. Had no complaints, the guys did their job and were great in answering any questions we had for them.

We are happy with them, and they have been very good on service and very reliable. The best thing about them is that we have an old boiler, the kind that is not easy to take care of, and they have a service plan which maintains it very well. They have people on their rosters who know how to handle these things and how to clean them; a lot of the newer companies do not. We would recommend them to friends and family members for this type of service. I also know some people who have used them for propane and they are very happy. They come when they are called, and if there is a problem they take care of it. They are available 24 hours a day. We have had to use them on Christmas Eve in the dead of winter with no heat, and they have been here. They have a 24-hour service; it is manned 24 hours and they have people on call. Sometimes we do have to wait because at times everybody calls at the same time because of storms. The overall experience is excellent. They have raised the prices of the maintenance service contract recently, and that kind of surprised us a little bit. I can understand it, but I was surprised. They also have a very helpful program, whereby we can either prepay or pay on a monthly basis on an average so that we don't have the ups and downs of a big bill when they fill it. We also have the option of locking in the price of gas/oil going forward. It is like an insurance contract; if the price goes above a certain point, we won't have to pay that amount, it will be capped. That was attractive a couple of years ago. We use it sometimes and sometimes not, we have to pay an extra fee for it. It was $180 a year the last time we did it. They cap the price of oil and the price of oil did go through it. They try to time it based on when we should run out, so they anticipate it. As far as the maintenance is concerned, the quality is very important and it is excellent. We would use them again in the future.
