+ -1 moreEverything went well. I had to pay $50 extra for them to take away debis. We had to leave 2 hours after they came. So not sure how long they were there. The deal was for four hours. When we got back I had to clean up trimmings and branches around all the areas they worked. It filled up our recycle bin which is the large trash container. I continued to clean up for a couple of days. Mom asked if the trimmed the three trees by the driveway. It was not really done. but I told her yes, so that she would not get upset. I didn’t have the heart to tell her that I had to clean up after they left. And that they barely touched the trees by the driveway. They were nice and the yard looks nice. Just didn’t expect to have to clean up myself. Especially after paying $50 extra.

+ -1 moreWe like Mike's work very much. He and a co-worker arrived at the appointed time and worked continually for most of the afternoon until the job was done. They cleaned up as they worked and took away all the ground cover they tore out. This is the second job Mike has done for us. He pulled out two shrubs in our front yard and replaced them. He also put red brick around the outter edge of our front garden. Again, very professional and worked until he was done. I would recommend him highly.

Description of Work: They were supposed to clean up the leaves and cut my grass. They didn't come when I expected them to or as agreed . They did not do the work. They actually sent another lawn service company after rescheduling due to a persnal matter. The company that they sent in their place did not complete the job. The job was only half complete. The front yard was cleaned but the backyard was only partially serviced. I would not recommend. It was not a good experience. I am not happy with the service (or lack of) that I received.

+ -1 moreMike was excellent...he contacted me immediately and we discussed our plans. We just purchased a new home and wanted to make some changes with the landscape. Mike identified our needs and was able to get all of our requested work done in two days. After removing shrubbery near the house, Mike noticed that the siding needed to be powerwashed as the plants had overgrown into the house. He went above and beyond to make sure the final product was excellent. We will be contacting him in the spring to complete our landscaping project.
Description of Work: Removed overgrown shrubs, bushes, trees. Winterized the property with mulch in the beds, Provided temporary plants to not leave a bare landscape for the winter.

I was able to select the plants and colors that we like on a trip with Mike to a local nursery. He could not have been more helpful or accommodating. I would highly recommend his work to others.
Description of Work: My yard was very overgrown and in need of a major overhaul. Mike and his crew did a great job trimming the trees, laying stone around the perimeter of the house and replanting the front flower bed as well as at the end of the driveway and near the mailbox.

Description of Work: We would definitely do this again with A Personalized Landscape. It was well worth the Big Deal cost to have someone come out and clean up the yard and do some much needed trimming of hedges and bushes. We ran out of bags so they were not able to get everything bagged but that was our mistake and next time we will make sure we have enough. They were responsive and professional from when I first purchased the deal until the completion of the work. It was easy to get the clean-up scheduled at a time that worked for us. I've given them an A all around, after briefly considering a B for Quality. With no A-, their work definitely deserved an A much more than a B. They used heavy-duty gas powered shears and trimmers to do the trimming with the result that some interior branches on a too tall, overgrown bush are not trimmed in the best spot. In a perfect world, I prefer to take my time, finding the nodes and individually trimming to avoid the breaking and splitting that often comes with using gas-powered trimmers. This was a very large shrub. We clearly didn't have time to maintain it and that is why we took advantage of this Big Deal with A Personalized Landscape. We were paying them to do a lot of work across the front and back yards and not to concentrate time on one large unruly bush. They got the job done and we were very happy with their work.

+ -1 moreWe recently put in a pool and wanted something to give us a little more privacy, and Mike suggested we use arborvitae. He planted 17 arborvitae, placed mulch around each tree, put down landscaping fabric, placed 2-3 inches of river jack stone around the trees and between the pool and our fence (approximately 200 sq ft), and installed metal edging to hold the stone in. We are very happy with Mike's work, it looks great!

I had him come out again to trim back some trees and grind a stump for me, and tear out a bush and do some weeding. I'm going to have him come back again in a couple weeks and clean up the lawn again once the rest of them fall out of the trees. He's very nice, and called to let me know when he would be here, and if he was going to be late, he would call to let me know when he was going to be here. I would recommend them to other Angie's List member.

Mike matched the service level and price we were looking for and was able to fit us into his schedule quickly (squeezed us in on an off day to get the house back to presentable status and then finished up later in the week.) Knowledgeable. Will use again, already called him for our other property.
Description of Work: We had our property's landscaped areas "cleaned up." All overgrown weeds were removed, tress and bushes trimmed and we also had a tree and a bush removed. Our landscaped area is relatively large.

+ -1 moreThe flower beds in front of our house were in need of some love. Mike cuts our grass, so we asked him about landscaping since we didn't know what we wanted to do with the flower beds. He was very helpful and gave us lots of suggestions, and send us sample pictures of plants that we could use. Once we decided what we wanted, Mike and his team came and removed all the plants we didn't like, planted the new plants, and installed a stone retaining wall in a single day. The results look great and we are very happy with Mike's work.
