The Longest Yard was a pleasure to work with! Our estimate was scheduled within days of our initial contact. the company rep was friendly and knowledgeable, and we received our quote within hours of his departure. We were indecisive about going natural or applying a stain, and both Tom (the owner) and John (estimator/employee) gave insight and opinions that helped us make our decision (we went natural). We are very happy with the result! They arrived on time each day and worked diligently. I would highly recommend The Longest Yard to anyone who asks. They are professional in their work and all around nice guys!

Tom did a great job! He took the time to explain to us what work needed to be done. Noting that we had had the floors finished a number of years ago, he explained how the materials used have since changed, and then gave us a quote under what I expected. The quality of workmanship was extremely good, but I was a little unhappy with the finish, for it was not as shiny as I had hoped. Tom explained that this was due to the change in materials used (water verses oil based) and offered to return the next day at no charge to re-coat the floor using a higher gloss. The end result was exactly what we had hoped for. Overall, a great job at a great price!

Ok so here is how this went down���Purchased another home which is almost 100 years old and has 90% hardwood floors. Nice hardwood floors, great wonderful trees made these floors. Previous owner took good care of them except they painted one room and then sealed it. Didn���t like it after they painted it and put a rug down. Ugh. We obtained 2 quotes from other flooring companies for the following options 1) buff and coat the floors and 2) sand and finish the floors. Knowing the latter would be more involved and cost more. But these quotes were outrageous. One company spent 7 minutes with and then took days to get a proposal to me I had to chase after them. Then argued with us about how we didn���t know anything. So we continued our search and found The LONGest Yard. Reached out to Tom and he fit an appointment in to accommodate our schedule. John, a member of Tom���s team, listened to what I was asking and my options took measurements and asked questions. Example, do you have pets that will be on the floors, will there be area rugs, etc. to be able to offer the best options for us. A few days later I had the proposal with the options I asked for in the price range that I thought it should be. NOTE: I never mentioned my price range or that I had taken other quotes from anyone to Tom. I asked Tom to explain in detail to me what the difference was and he happily did. I accepted the proposal for the sand and finish, picked my options. A few days later Tom and his team, John and Nate, began the work and a few days later it was completed. Less than a week after the initial meeting people! Even the room where they painted the hardwood floor came out beautiful. They came back a few days later for some minor touch up which is to be expected and to answer any questions we had. It was a great experience and they all are professional, nice and fun. Me I love to laugh and have a good time and so does the LONGest Yard without losing sight of their assignment and the quality of their work. So yeah, I would recommend them for many reasons���honesty, quality, punctuality, knowing their product and what they are doing, respect and one thing that I is lacking greatly in many companies���customer service. Tom didn���t have to respond so quickly to my inquiry and meet me on the one day and time I had available because he too had other clients, but he made it happen. And I thank him and his team for everything.

We sourced estimates for three companies and the longest yard gave us the best price. Tom the owner was incredibly professional and accommodating wth our schedule and his crew were also very professional and polite. The quality of the work is spectacular, it honestly looks like we installed brand new floors. Ours were in bad shape too and hadn't been touched since the house was built in 1954. They say "we'll floor you" and they are true to their word!

Tom went out of his way to meet our time constraints. He personally made sure the job was done right and on time. The workers were professional and courteous. I plan to use them again for future projects.
