The Fixer Heating & Air

Bill, from The Fixer Home Repair LLC (Newark DE) installed the outdoor unit of the heat pump system in my next door neighbor's yard (we adjoin) in Jan 2022 that blocks my service man from accessing my unit's connections, blocks my access to my garden hose, my sump pump hose that extends form my home, and my access to my downspout. I can no longer maintain or use these parts of my home. To boot, he didn’t file the permit paperwork. My new neighbor, who hired Bill on the recommendation of her realtor, asked Bill to move the unit as it blocks my access (it blocks her access too). He said he could not move the unit, which is just not true. Other units in the neighborhood have their units further out from the back wall of the house. My own installer put in a new unit exactly where the old one was with no problem. Bill, from The Fixer Home Repair LLC wrapped the connecting coils around to the front of the unit rather than behind the unit further blocking the ability to get between the units to access my unit connections and hose, etc. County code enforcement and Building Inspections were notified in Feb 2022 of this problem after I tried for a month to get my neighbor to get Bill to come move the unit. Now, 3 months since the incorrect install, and the unit remains blocking my access to my home. This is shoddy, immoral, unethical, and maybe illegal work of Bill from The Fixer Home Repair LLC in Newark DE. Do not hire him!

Bill came the day we called him, within a few hours, fixed the problem efficiently, explained the problem. We will always use him in the future and recommend him to our friends and neighbors.

He can the same day I called to evaluate the situation. After informing me I needed a new furnace, he researched and found the only local distrbuter of the furnace model that complied with the requirements of my condominium association. Wtithin 2 days he qouted me a price that I knew was fair because my neighbor had a furnace installed last winter. Bill followed through on everything I asked of him promptly. He even supplied the condominium associaation with proof of his insurance coverage. He arrived on time on the day of the installation, brought a well-trained helper, and did the ispnstallation in the agreed upon time : 4 hours. He put in a new thermostadt, water heater, and furnace. He cleaned up thoroughly, Overall he gave the impression of being organized and efficient. I am very impressed and will call on him in the future and recommend him to friends and other residents at Villa Belmont Condominiums.

The Fixer was on time and reasonably priced. Cleaned and serviced the oil heater. Also performed tests to make sure it was running at optimum.

Bill was very quick to make a site visit, quote and then meet to discuss options. He repaired a leak (on a Saturday night) and got the A/C working. He saved me $ (thousand) and was very pleasant to work with, knowledgeable and friendly.
