I had found broken shingles on the ground after the last wind storm. The technician found the damaged area showed me where the water damage had just begun in the attic and completed the repair. I had also showed him some water damage at the side of several of my windows. he exposed the window and found the window were installed with some of the original shipping packing not removed causing a fault in the install and allowing water to enter. Several of my neighbors reported the same condition, and diagnosis Santana's went the extra mile and were very professional. I would recommend them to anyone needing roofing, window or door work

First, the steps are surrounded on both sides by Pa.native plantings. He and his crew were incredibly careful and no damage was done to the plants. He discussed the job with us, and the availability of railroad ties. He is a perfectionist and went to some trouble and effort to locate ties which closely matched what is there now. He did have an "easy out" with readily available pressure-treated "ties". He both explained these were available - and advocated strongly against them on the basis of a consistent appearance. Each step of the job was fully explained; and Mr Santana took all the time required to answer and to address any questions or concerns we had. We never wondered where we were / what was happening next - as - this was anticipated at every stage of work. The result is quite excellent....a bit better actually ...than what was there before, and meticulously (and carefully) pitched for run-off. Happy to recommend him again ...as a real craftsperson.
Description of Work: A falling tree damaged three of our front steps which are sand-laid bricks with railroad ties. The ties were uprooted and rendered unusable, and, a number of bricks also picked up / damaged. Mr Santana did a careful review of the situation, discussed materials availability and choices; and brought in - at no charge - a colleague who was a stone mason to ensure no details were missed. While his primary avocation is roofing; Mr. Santana very willingly takes on other jobs - including small ones - where he has the skill and capability to ensure a good result.

Mr Santana was never in a hurry. He explained - fully - the entire job and costs before starting. During the work there were several instances where he stopped, and explained what had been done, what the next step was - and why - and invited our questions and/or suggestions. We always knew where we were, and what was happening. Questions and concerns were addressed on the spot and time made to ensure we understood before he moved ahead. There were also a number of discussions about the kind and quality of materials - for example - grades / types of shingles, rafters, etc. Where there were choices - we were invited to make them - after having the options fully explained Mr Santana fully cleaned up after the job - actually the garage was cleaner than when he started ! Mr Santana also returned - at his own suggestion - after the first rain to check that there were no leaks, inviting us to "walk-around" with him; and checking that we were happy with the result. We would - without reservation - recommend him to anyone in need of roofing...and its associated carpentry.
Description of Work: Mr. Santana repaired one side of a shingle garage roof which had been damaged by a fallen tree. He removed all shingles on the damaged roof section, sistered / replaced damaged rafters, replaced damaged fascia, installed underlayment and new shingles. He also identified and replaced shingles that had been damaged on the front of the garage roof.
