Description of Work: I gave the provider a D overall rather than an F because he was very nice. The problem was that he never followed up with us, even after I emailed him several times and he wrote back asking for extensions of time before sending estimates. The whole experience was very frustrating because Mr. Witkowski seemed like a great person. He came to our house and spend an hour looking at the area where we wanted work done and he drew a detailed diagram of what he was going to do. He said he was busy that the estimate would take about a week to send out. After not receiving the estimate by the week deadline, I waited an additional week and then emailed the provider. He wrote back after a couple days explaining that he was very busy and very sorry for not getting back to me. He told me that he would need another week or so for the estimate. The estimate never came. I actually wrote back to him after several weeks to give him a third chance to send the estimate. He again apologized, explained he was busy and asked to come back the house since it had been so long. I told him when we were available and he never wrote back. My husband and I were very surprised by this whole experience because he was very nice and had spent a lot of time with us assessing the work. All we were hoping for (if we couldn't get an estimate) was an email back saying thank you but I'm too busy to do the work. That way we would not have been waiting and wondering for all of that time. I didn't really want to write this review (again because he was so nice), but I don't understand why the provider kept ignoring our request to do the work? It ended up being a very frustrating experience.

Description of Work: Repaired a joist in my garage that had moved when it was bumped into by a car.

Description of Work: Repaired outside door and bolt lock. Even touched up paint when finished.

Description of Work: When we bought our house several years ago, it had two single stall garage doors with a post in between. We finally decided we wanted just one big garage door instead of two. Bob cut out out the post and got the garage surround ready for the new garage door. Around the facade of the garage was brick, he facilitated the removal of the brick so the post could be removed. With those bricks, a post was put up on our front porch. Towards the end of the job, we decided we wanted to have our shutters taken down so we could repaint them. He quoted us a reasonable price and did it right away. Once we called to say we had repainted the shutters, he was out in a couple of days and had them installed very quickly.

Description of Work: Bob installed the deck on our house using Temper-Tech custom material. He has also done work in clients houses for my interior design company. Some work included complete custom bathroom remodeling, as well as a custom coffee-bar in the sitting room of one of my client's houses.

Description of Work: When I decided to change our windows, it took a long time for me to decide who to call because of fear that I might not get the right company. Mr Witkowski from the beginning demonstrate that he is reliable, he was punctual, thorough in his assesment of what he need to do with our windows. He removed eleven windows with the frame ( like in new construction)one of which is a bay window . he then installed the new one, fabricated the trims and covered with aluminum in the exterior, In the interior he installed new trims around the windows and painted with the same color of the windows. Because the measurements was so precised ( he came back few times to measure and remeasure before he ordered the windows ) there was not any problem at all about the installation so the job went so smoothly.The hardest part of the whole project was the installation of the bay window. It took two days to complete the job but just the same they completed it with no problem. All together the job from start to finish took 3 weeks . I am so delighted with the neatness and precision on how he did the job. I will surely call him again for my next home improvement.,.

Description of Work: We have a three-car garage that used to have three separate doors for each bay. It was very difficult to get cars in and out because each section was so narrow. Bob took out two of the garage doors, put in a support beam (so our master bedroom will not collapse into the garage), and installed one double-wide garage door.
