Both drywall and interior painting was performed extremely well...very satisfied.

Everything went great. Rick was prompt, answered any questions knowledgeably, performed the work expertly to my eyes, and cleaned up before he left. I don't think it can go much better than that. I would use him again and recommend him to others.

Smoothly. We were kept informed throughout to include where we had to make style decisions. We entered into this much needed project with little idea of what we actually forecast as the end result. HOME SERVICES guided us through the process to ensure the end product was something pleasing. Great workmanship and the price was very fair.

The work that Eric and Rick did was amazing. It was better than we imagined. We were walked through the entire process. They worked with us to give us exactly what we wanted. The house was left very clean during the process. We will definitely be hiring them again for another bathroom. They paid attention to every detail.

Rick spent a good deal of time explaining the step-by-step of what was needed and why. He accomplished the job in one full day and was very thorough. He jacked up the roof and rebuilt the header, tailoring it to the existing roof, installed the new column (which I had previously bought), and tied everything together. My porch is now ready for new fascia and trim.

Replaced vanity, drywall, flooring, painted. Would definitely call again.

We are very pleased with how the entire process went from start to finish. Rick came in an expanded on our idea of how to update and use the space efficiently. Sealed off work area to prevent dust and debris from entering other areas of the home. Work went smoothly and stuck to the agreed upon proposal and time frame for completion. Have already referred to friends and family and will be using again for future bathroom work.

The entire job went superbly from start to finish. Rick communicated with me on an almost daily basis and all work was performed in a quality manner. Both Rick and his associate are meticulous and take great pride in their work. I needed to have things done within a certain timeframe and all of that was accommodated to meet my needs. He is very trustworthy and I did not have any concerns about him working in my home while I was at work. My new kitchen is beautiful and I am overjoyed with the finished project and the quality of his work. I am going to use him again in the near future to finish my basement and install a powder room. All debri was removed and they cleaned up any mess that was made on a daily basis before leaving for the day. The value of the service that he provides is fair and I do not feel that any of this work is overpriced. I've used this company repeatedly and they've always gone above and beyond. They warranty their work and nothing has ever gone wrong. I highly recommend Home Services Unlimited and Rick Smith for any type of home services that need to be completed.

Everything went very well. I felt comfortable with the people that came to work in my home, including outside contractors that were brought in. Care was taken to keep the areas clean and protect belongings. The owner shared my vision for staying consistent with the theme/surroundings of my home and selected features that matched my taste and budget. I would use him for future projects.

They did a great job in repairing my wall they were professional. I was expecting them first thing in the morning, but they showed up at 10 am. The only issue I had was it took a month to get a bill (receipt) but they wanted paid as soon as job was done. Also the check I paid them was for $1150 and the receipt has $1100 not sure what happened to the $50. I will use them again but next time I would get an itemized written estimate before work starts.

Prompt communication, timely completion, expert craftsmanship! We especially appreciated the explanation of the ongoing project - learned some new things along the way and got even better than we hoped for. Our new deck is so much sturdier, neater, and more well-crafted than the one we replaced.

Thought it was a little overpriced. But you know plumbers

I decided to opt for a different contractor due to pricing considerations. However, I was very impressive with Rick's knowledge and responsiveness.

We were in need of an outside faucet repair that had frozen during the winter. Rick was very responsive to my phone call and quick to schedule the repair. He arrived on time as promised, quoted a fair price and repaired the faucet in a good amount of time as promised. Fast friendly and courteous service was received. Overall, very happy with this service and this company and would hire them again.

All work was done on time and professionally.

The work is just perfect. Whether you look at the shingled roof or the inside ceiling, you cannot see that work was ever done. We don't know how Rick found shingles that are almost identical to what we have there! The ceiling that has the large drywall patches is absolutely smooth. It literally looks like it was always this way. At one point, Rick offered to just take care of a couple of nail pops and places on our walls where there were a couple of small patches from the water damage. This was going above and beyond and we appreciated it. In addition, they used sheet of plastic to completely close off the room in which they were working so that our house was dust-free when they were finished. Rick and I had a miscommunication about the start-time of the first day (hence the B rating for punctuality), but he quickly took all steps necessary to iron that out, and we really appreciate his professionalism. We will use Rick and Home Services unlimited again for our next project, without question.

This was a 8 week job and it went beautifully. Rick's work is exceptional and the finished product is better then I imagined. Rick was considerate of my schedule and at the end of the day left the work area looking perfect. He and his crew have a good work ethic and will work hard to please the customer. I highly recommend him for anyone needing remodeling, painting, and flooring.

Rick and his team did a wonderful job! There are so many variables with an old house--nothing is square anymore, and you never know what you'll find when you pull up the old Pergo. Rick was great at finding low-cost solutions to any problems that arose. He always kept in mind that we were looking to sell the house, not live in it forever, so he was able to make suggestions that would keep the house looking beautiful but neutral, to interest potential buyers. He worked carefully and did fine work. We had already relocated when Rick started working on the house. It could have been very nerve-wracking to have a contractor working on your house when you're 900 miles away, but Rick did a good job keeping in touch with us and letting us know how things were proceeding. When Superstorm Sandy came through, I emailed Rick to ask him to check on the property, especially the roof, and he wrote back to say he had already done it. I felt that the job was in excellent hands at all times. I highly recommend him.

Originally when Rick came out to do the install, they ran into some complications (not their fault). He assured me that he would address them and be back to install. He returned a week later and did the install. The price great and he is very professional.

First contacted Rick 10 months ago. He suggested we replace the roof before this work was done and recommended several good people. (We chose one of his recommendations and were pleased with the result.) We then proceeded with the bay repair this summer. Scheduling was tough between our schedule, his schedule, and the miserably wet summer weather this year. When we finally found a workable window the project was done as promised, on schedule. The work is absolutely 1st class, using the right materials in the right way. It was a tough, tight job site and Rick dealt with that without complaint. We plan to use Rick again for some other issues. Rick always got back to us, though sometimes it would take a day or two. He could improve on that a bit. His work is not cheap but it is quality, and we'd rather pay for quality than pay less for junk.

First he provided a quote quickly. He started the work on our schedule--not necessarily his. He sowed up on time every day. He stuck with the job until it was absolutely complete. He is extremely attentive to his work. We were very pleased and will definitely use his company again.

We had had water damage to our house due to a leaky roof. I had the roof repaired some time prior to this fall. Rick came out and gave me an estimate on the drywall work over Thanksgiving. We schedule the work for December 27 and 28th because it’s our vacation home and don’t get to the beach as often as we would like. Rick was very impressive and explained in detail how the project would work. He showed up on Thursday the 27th as planned knowing he would have the work in our guest room done in plenty of time before our company arrived on Saturday. When he pulled the drywall out he found that the previous roof repairs had been done poorly. I could see the sky and obviously it was still leaking. So not only did we have company coming on Saturday but a storm as well and I had a leaky roof and drywall needing to be repaired. Rick devised a plan to make sure he could at least get the roof fixed before the rain and wind caused more damage. He then came back on New Year’s Eve and Day so that we didn’t have to give him access to the office after we left. Rick did a great job of sealing things up while our friends were there so they didn’t mind using the room. He did great work and we are discussing two additional projects with him. DON’T USE ANYONE OTHER THAN RICK!

Was persistent with doing the job right and getting the right supplies. Had to make several trips to locate the basement window which was not a standard. Had to modify; but looks great. Would definitely hire again.

Rick come out as scheduled and seemed interested in the project. He left us with a verbal baseball estimate and promise to send us a written quote along with the material I needed to purchase, essentially a time + material contract. Except for one email saying he would send me a written quote I have heard nothing from Rick. This is the second Angie's List contractor that has done the same thing on this project. I will not be renewing Angie's List membership since I would have better look or no worse like with the Yellow Pages.
