Ferris was a wonderful company to work with from the initial consultation all the way to the finished kitchen. They started the project on the time and Mike checked in throughout the entire project. I thought the schedule to complete the job was aggressive but Chuck did an excellent job and finished it ahead of time. I would definitely use Ferris again.

It went very well. Wayne was on time, did the work efficiently, finished in about 5 hours, and the details were attended to. The frame, molding and trim is lined up and all the edges and corners meet. Caulking on all seams is clean. The door opens and closes without dragging, it is airtight. I don't have to lift the door to get it to shut. I am thrilled with the installation and with Wayne doing a professional job. Thank you Wayne and Ferris Home Improvements.

Last year we had our windows replaced in our living room and our family room. I like them very much.

From Spencer coming out to give us an estimate through the installation process everything was perfect. Friendly, explained everything, professional, and quick. Took care to ensure the dogs didn't get out, showed up on promised date and time, and used quality materials.

Starting off with the estimate, Mike was a very polite, responsive, and courteous. We received the estimate in a timely fashion. We received estimates from several other companies and Ferris was the best and most economical. We chose Ferris b/c we could supply all the fixtures, tile, and construction material on our own. We could control cost and pick exactly what we wanted. We were not pressure to use a specific supplier or product. We had complete control and this is exactly what we wanted. Not only that but Ferris advertised that they work to do it right and that is definitely true! Wayne and Brandon were amazing!!! These two guys did the entire job from start to finish. We had constant contact with Wayne and he was always responsive about changes we wanted to make last minute and extra work. We cannot say enough about how professional and amazing Wayne was with overseeing and performing all the work throughout the project. The entire renovation took 6 weeks from start to finish. Both bathrooms were gutted in 2 weeks and the rest was put back together in just 4 weeks! The quality of work was exceptional. We were beyond impressed with the attention to detail. I will definitely hire Wayne and Ferris again for any project in our house.

Ferris is a great company to deal with. Prices are more than fair, and the sales, customer service and the technicians are great. Ask for Mike and Jim they know what they are doing. Jim found some other problems while replacing the window. He showed me the issues which were nasty, had the fix and materials and when Mike came by for the price adjustment which was very fair. They offer a 10% discount, please ask but if you forget they will do it anyway. I highly recommend this company. They are awesome!

Jim arrived on time and completed the job in less time than anticipated. He left the area clean The door looks fantastic!!!

It went great! The finished project is amazing. Start to finish was less than two weeks. The workers were professional, pleasant and punctual. They were available when we had questions, and were quick to respond. I would happily use them again for any future projects, and highly recommend them to anyone. Awesome Experience!

I wanted more natural light in my living room so called a few contractors about cutting through the wall to add new windows. Most did not have the expertise to do this for us because the exterior is stucco. Ferris was able to do it all from start to finish and even finished in only a day. The windows look great and I've received many compliments on them. They look like they've always been there! They also installed a storm door the same day. The door screen is very heavy mesh - not what I was expecting, but I like it now. Don't have to worry about it getting damaged by the kids or dog. It does look dark because it is so thick, but it's very durable. Very happy with everything!

Ferris Home Improvements was very easy to deal with from start to finish; from our roof with skylights, windows, down to our powder room. From the ladies in the office, to the project manager; they were great! They left the yard cleaner then how it was before the job started. Very reasonable pricing. I would definitely recommend this company.

They could have maybe tidied up better. I had no problems with them. They were approachable. If I had concerns, I would let them know. I would use them again. I found them very professional and they were a good group of guys. They were laid back, they worked hard and worked all day. I already did refer my niece and a co-worker to them because I was pleased with their work. I'm still waiting for a call back to find out when they are in. I'll probably call them tomorrow to see if the shutters are in yet. When I called them to say that it was falling off, they said they'd send somebody out there to get it looked at but unfortunately we had a wind storm that blew them off. They had to end up ordering them.

We had Ferris replace our roof last month and we couldn?t be happier. It was our first time using them but my wife had done the research and legwork on Angie?s list and Ferris was the best of the three companies we contacted for proposals. Our home had suffered some snow and ice damage on the roof and the skylight the previous winter. We realized it was more than just a repair and we needed a new roof. After 15 years of living here, it was time for a whole new roof so might as well get it done right. Size-wise, it ended up being 16 square when it was done. I spoke to Kelly at the office and she had Matt come out and do the initial inspection and give us our quote. Not only was it the lowest quote we received but it was less than what we budgeted for, so we were really pleased. They were patient with us while making our choices and Matt even brought out samples to the house to make my wife feel more comfortable with our decisions. With the savings, we were able to upgrade our skylight and add remote operated blinds (my wife?s favorite detail), as well as replace all of our gutters and downspouts. Ferris showed up on time on the day that we were scheduled and Michael handled the job, leading a crew of seven men. They completed our new roof in one day in bitterly cold weather and when my wife came home she said they cleaned up our yard better than the landscapers! Due to the weather, Pablo returned a few days later to complete the gutters and downspouts. That was completed that in a half day. Pablo was very good in redirecting the new downspouts into better positions to keep water away from the foundation and help with the appearance of our house too. I should also mention Jim was very patient will all my questions as he walked me through how the skylight blinds worked and made sure I understood it completely after installation. With the weird weather last month, they let us get a couple of snow storms under our belt before having Matt do the final walkthrough and collecting their final payment, just so they knew we were satisfied. My wife was very happy with the final look of our architectural shingles and it was so great not worry about roof leaks anymore, no matter how hard it snowed. We highly recommend them and would use them again.

I am very unhappy with these people. I had a deck put on and the guy told me that basically, he suggested it and I followed his suggestion and I'm very unhappy. they want to charge me another $4000.00 to change it. The deck was put in a year ago October. The last time they were out was probably in December. I was not very happy with them. They didn't level anything. It's ground level and they didn't level the ground. When they were done there were places that animals could get in underneath. The color of it, they told me it would be easy to clean. I can't get it clean, I can't keep it clean. They said that it would be no maintenance other than to take a hose and wash it off, which is not true. On a dark color that wouldn't matter but because it's a light gray, it's a lot. It was supposed to be a 15' x 16' and they cut it down to 15' x 15' and took $200 off. They are just rip off artists as far as I'm concerned.

Ferris Home Improvement's completed job resulted in a modern, full bathroom that looks outstanding, fills our needs and enhances the home's value. The necessary drywall work (removal and reinstallation) was bound to create some dust; the mess was minimized though, due to the contractor's diligence in isolating the work area and by cleaning up as they worked. Ferris showed up on time each day, stayed on the job continuously (bearing in mind that a bit of time is lost when cement has to cure, before new drywall may be sanded etc), and offered creative ideas on how to make the shower area look like it was always an integral part of the bathroom (not an add-on). Both of the mechanics were competent, friendly, respectful of our property and took their time to ensure that the tile job was done right (lots of attention to detail). The plumber who they brought to handle the water supply and drainage of the project was prompt, knowledgable and did a very competent job; that work had to be coordinated with the floor and walls installation and was done with little or no impact on the project schedule. The salesperson was honest, knowledgable, and easy to reach when needed. Up front, he made us fully aware that a four-month lead time would be expected due to their crews being booked that far ahead, but the project began the week that it was projected. Three weeks after the project's completion, I have found no shortcomings (but many compliments).

Our experience with Ferris was excellent in every respect. Everything was done on time and the work quality is excellent. Matt provided the initial evaluation and quote; he was friendly, professional, and helpful. He promptly responded to several questions we had after his initial visit. The roofing crew was friendly, hard-working, and efficient. They protected the house well while they removed two layers of old shingles, replaced several bad sections of plywood sheathing, and installed new roofing material along with much improved venting for the attic. This 6-person team was on site for 1.5 days. They did an outstanding job of cleaning up all the debris. The new roof looks great! The next day a two-person team came to work on the gutters. This work involved replacing some rotted fascia board, replacing two long gutters, and installing gutter guards on all gutter sections. Like the roofing crew, these folks were also friendly, hard-working, and efficient. They also did an excellent job cleaning up. We are delighted with all the work that was done. The workmanship is excellent, clean-up was impeccable, and Ferris Home Improvements was great to work with in every respect. We highly recommend them.

Our experience with Ferris Home Improvements was excellent from the start. We definitely appreciated up front that it is a locally owned business that also uses local suppliers and a full time workforce to service their customers. Matt came to our house to discuss what we wanted done (a large number of replacement windows and a sliding glass door) and walk us through all of the options available. He was very friendly, never came across as pushing us one direction or another with specific products, and he even engaged our children in the conversation with a hands-on demonstration of the insulation abilities of the new windows. He worked with us over the following week to make sure we were comfortable with the quality of the product we purchased and the price we paid for it. When installation time came, Jim and Preston were outstanding to work with. On the first day, there were storms predicted for the afternoon, so Jim was concerned with the risk of starting the job and having to deal with downpours while windows were out - he and Preston made sure that everything was unloaded and ready to go for first thing the next day, and he assured us that it wouldn't affect the schedule. To our amazement, they actually ended up ahead of our expected schedule and had nearly all of the windows completed before we knew it. Unfortunately, the sliding glass door that was delivered to their warehouse was damaged on arrival and had to be re-ordered, but we were told about that right away, and Ferris promptly gave us a new date to complete the installations. At no time were we in the dark about what to expect. Lastly, the quality of both the materials and the workmanship was excellent. The new windows are a huge improvement over the low-grade contractor windows that were installed when our house was built 15 years ago, and they've made a noticeable difference in comfort on hot days. Jim and Preston were astonishingly neat in their work and cleaned up beautifully each day when they were finished. We were amazed that we didn't even need to do touch up paint on our windowsills. All of our existing blinds were able to be reinstalled. On the day of our sliding glass door and foyer window install, we had other contractors at our home installing wood flooring on our stairs and upstairs hallway. Both groups worked well together figuring out the best way to complete the projects since they would be in each other's way at some point. We will absolutely consider Ferris Home Improvements again when we have future projects on our home.

This was a fairly complex remediation project on our 12 year old house, primarily due to hail storm damage on the roof and to repair significant water damage behind our stucco. We took the opportunity to enhance the look of our house as we repaired the roof and stucco problems. The combined project was loud, messy, and had a several week duration. There were two major contractors involved in this project: XXXX MASONRY CONTRACTOR and Ferris Home Improvement. Due to the nature of the repairs, the two contractors needed to coordinate their efforts. There was a significant difference in the responsiveness and professionalism of the two different contractors: * The staff at Ferris was extremely flexible, responsive, and well organized. Despite some drama and glitches with the project, Ferris went the extra mile to ensure the customer was happy. Ferris got the required permit without involving the homeowner. * The experience working with XXXX MASONRY CONTRACTOR was frustrating and unpredictable. Quite often, it was necessary to contact XXX several times before there was any response. When there was a response or a visit to the house, it was often at unexpected times or with little or no notice. It was very difficult to plan my schedule under these circumstances. XXX did not get the required permits, which resulted in some extra drama with the Township. XXX was not as cooperative in working with Ferris as I expected. Long story short, the difference between working with the two contractors was like night and day. I am very appreciative that Ferris was so accommodating in this stressful and unusual situation. A special shout out to Spencer, Mike, Pedro and the rest of the Ferris team for their patience and all their extra efforts! In addition to the professional service, we were also impressed with the quality of the roofing and gutter guard materials used by Ferris. After learning more than I really wanted to know about roofing and gutters, I am convinced Owens Corning shingles (with their associated roofing products) & Rhino Gutter Guards are the way to go. This combination of materials was higher quality and a lower price than different materials/prices quoted by other roofing contractors. Ferris can probably offer these prices due to the large volume of work in the area.

Poorly, I showed the estimator the fascia boards that needed replacement. After 10 minutes showing him around the outside of the house, he tells be he is the wrong guy and only does siding, huh? Tells me he will have to contact the office and send out someone else and I will be hearing from the office on the next business day. That was 2 weeks ago.

The job went fantastic! My husband and I were starting to feel jinxed or unlucky with every person we had coming out to our home. We aren't from Delaware originally and struggled to find local people to do things we needed in a way that left us feeling that our money had been well spent. Before Ferris, we were always disappointed with the work that was done. The house looked so nice when Ferris drove away that our only regret was that we hadn't done it sooner, so we could have enjoyed it longer before we sold it. We ended up putting our house on the market in the Spring of 2014 and got an offer and sold our home after the first open house. We know the curbside appeal helped, and have to thank Ferris for the fact that the house looked great. Our first meeting with a Ferris employee was David Cunningham. He could not have been any more patient with us. We lost count how many times he came to our home to meet with us as we decided what we did and did not want to invest in to make the house ready for sale. In the end, David found an incredible match to the older 7" wide siding that was on our home and kept us from having to pay the expense of replacing the brick or re-siding the entire home. He was always willing to "go the extra mile" to help us and even visited a house we were considering purchasing to give us his opinion on the work that needed to be done before we decided if we should buy it. Next, I remember being introduced to "Uncle Mark" as he is called at Ferris. I appreciated his honesty in discussing the brick work. He informed me that they were very comfortable with the removal of the brick wall, but that we could probably find a cheaper company to replace the brick, since they did not specialize in masonry. The demolition, removal of materials and replacement of windows on that side of the house all went smoothly. My memory may not allow me to remember all of the team members' names, but Austin and the other workers made sure to keep the construction environment safe as I had small children still wanting to play in and outside the home. As David knows from the time he spent discussing the job with me, I don't like to spend money, which is probably why I rated B for pricing, but I compared their brick removal price with two other companies and Ferris was the lowest! Finally, the first time I met David Cunningham, I remember him telling me about Ferris' owner, "Red" ("Reds" is how it is written on the website). He spoke about this being a family business and all of the wonderful things they did for their employees that went above and beyond what I have heard other companies do. I could imagine how fortunate someone would feel to be hired as a Ferris employee. I believe this must contribute to why the quality of their workmanship was at such a high level. I want to mention that I took my children to a local carnival shortly after the job was concluded. There was a gentleman playing a game very well and winning prizes with nearly every toss. My son had not won a prize, but really hoped to get one. Without me saying a word, the man turned and handed my son one of the prizes and refused to accept his money. As I walked away, my son remarked on what a nice man he was and I then noticed he was wearing a Ferris shirt and had red hair. I went back to ask if he was the owner of the business and tell him how happy I was with the work on my home. I believe he used to do work that involved fixing garage doors and my door had stopped working while the team was there and they fixed that too... (no extra charge). Overall, what you need to know is that Ferris Home Improvements has great people from the top down to invite into your home for a completely satisfying experience and for us, it was finally money well spent! I feel terrible that it took me this long to write a review here, but I knew I needed to get it posted, so I can feel better about calling for another job at my new home.

I did receive a quote at the end but the sales person did not go through any installation process and describe what they will do. There were no follow-up after the quote was dropped off. With 10% senior discount, the cost is still a little higher than other quote with the the exact same model and option of windows. My decision is to go with a more responsive company.

One worker wasn't punctual and even missed an appointment, but the others were fine and very professional. Once started, the job progressed quickly. The dumpster did some damage to the driveway that they bulked at repairing, but they eventually did a minor fix on it. They did a good job communicating with us and explaining things. Overall, the project went well and the house looks much better.

The whole job took only an hour and a half. The installer vacuumed as he worked and left the area clean when he was finished. He removed and reinstalled the inside trim around the door. The top piece of the trim needed to be trimmed a little to fit the new door. He also applied spray foam insulation around the inside before replacing the door trim. Everything looks great. My husband and I are very pleased with their work. We are so pleased that we are having Ferris Home Improvements install replacement windows next month. And we have 24 windows to replace.

Excellent service from start to finish. Everyone was respectful and courteous, and they clean up behind themselves! I will definately be having them install my windows next year. They took the time to talk to us and explain everything that was going to happen. Couldn't be any more pleased by their professional approach to business.
